The Decemberists Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Not that I can ever remember, no. But if we keep playing Megson's long, high ball game I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
Gert T Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 I guess I'll have to wake up early then. The two games a week we get live come on at 7 am and 10 am.
TheFranchise Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 We're on sky on Monday, away at Preston.
The Decemberists Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 I don't even know if Sky do games as low down as League One, I've never needed to check before. In some worrying news, Chris Kamara has predicted we'll get promoted. Suddenly all my confidence has vanished...
deancoles Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 They do live stuff from this Div once every few weeks, we've got 2 games so far, at home against Colchester on September 3rd and away at Swindle on 11th November(switched to a Friday night) Kammy's league Table last season was pretty dodgy, Luton were 15th and Bradford 21st, the only decent guess he had was Hull 2nd.
PLAGIARISM! Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 I was surprised we were able to get him. Is there anything on the DVD specifically about them falling out? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No but on the extras, whilst Warnock says Cullip was at fault for something, Cullip completely disagrees, and when Warnock goes 'Well I didn't see that...' before turning to someone else, you just hear 'Must not have had your specs on then..' before an odd hush around the dressing room. He later tells Cullip to 'fuck off if you're gonna moan'. It wasn't meant to be, I don't think. I don't think Neil likes anyone who questions his mighty position, but then I'm biased. Tune in to see Warnock's anti-tactics in action against Leicester on sky, in what promises to be an absolutely unwatchable game of non-football. That said, I think united's signings will see them through that one.
The Decemberists Posted August 5, 2005 Report Posted August 5, 2005 Megson's said today that Cullip's someone who'll always have an opinion on everything, and won't be scared to have a go at someone if he think they're at fault for something, so I'd guess he knows what he's getting. Having said that we'll probably sell him in January after he has a fight with Meggo.
TheFranchise Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Leicester are losing. Rallying cry that I hope gets answered, we need all the TSM'er's who aren't at a game today in this thread while the matches are playing. Just like old times, don't let us down guys
TheFranchise Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Well, we've got our first result of the new season, and the Blades have just cut through Leicester, 4-1. GREAT start.
TheFranchise Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Derby 1-1 at half time, where are you lads
TheFranchise Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Ah. Welcome to 2005-2006 Eski We're 1-1 at the moment, and Palace are losing at home to Luton. And it's great, that should shut Simon Jordon up.
Mystery Eskimo Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Johnson!! Hopefully that's a sign of things to come. If he could get back to his form of a couple of seasons ago, he'd be a huge asset this season.
Addy Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Well, we've got our first result of the new season, and the Blades have just cut through Leicester, 4-1. GREAT start. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I went on Paddy Power and put two bets on this match at half time. £2.50 on David Connolly for next goal [8-1] and £2.50 on Sheff Utd to win 3-1 [14-1]. First bet comes up and I feel a have a chance for the second. Of course United went 3-1 up with 5 minutes left but Leicester fell to pieces and conceded again in the 90th. Fuck. Still bagged 20 odd quid though (then blew £7.50 on the Southampton match).
Guest kylegavin Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Hey all...just come back from holiday. Since I've been away Birmingham have managed to bag Pandiani on a permanent basis aswell as signing BUTT on loan...the new team is as follows: taylor melchiot upson cunningham clapham pennant BUTT izzett dunn forssell heskey sub: vaesen, martin taylor, damien johnson, stan lazaridis, pandiani. I really do have high hopes for this team. I think on the opening day of the Championship season cograts have to be offered to Coventry and Luton, from what I have seen the results achieved have been deserved.
k thx Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Man this cricket stuff is tense. As shallow as it may be, I'll probably follow the championship more than usual this season due to the presence of Southampton. Mainly to see Redknapp slowly unravel.
Guest Damn You Helmsley Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Agreed on Harry. The man is simply vile. He expected loyalty from Crouch. Yeah, that's rich coming from you, bud. He'll surely be one of the first managerial casualties of the season, along with Souness.
PLAGIARISM! Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Strachan's got to be in the running. We drew 0-0 at Stoke, as predicted, cos whilst defensively solid they've sold their goalscorer and ours is fucked. They missed a penalty.
King Cucaracha Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Bloody Chelsea. The Premiership's going to be more predictable than the Scottish Premier, especially is they get Essien. They might as well ask the FA if they can buy the trophy now.
The Decemberists Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 Not that I'm over confident or anything, but... WE'RE ONLY GOING TO GO AND WIN THE LEAGUE! Coco-Cola League One - Where even Scott Dobie looks dangerous.
TheFranchise Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 I recall winning our first game 3-0 against Stoke at home when we first came down from the Premier. Things can change.
PLAGIARISM! Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 You know, I'm actually really, really worried. We could be bottom at christmas. I think we'll get a fair few draws, but until Proudlock and Talbot come back we are REALLY gonna struggle for goals.
Anorak Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 I watched the Sheff Utd game in a pub on the Isle of Wight. Sat with an older Birmingham fan who was a nice bloke and after a few pints I was even able to just about shrug off that bizarre defeat. We were the better side for 80 minutes, played all the football and then it just all fell apart in ridiculous fashion. Our midfield looks promising, bossing it on saturday without Hughes and Tiatto but it'll be wasted if a fit Dublin is sat on the bench and De Vries is missing chances left and right. We might have found out already why no premier team stepped in to get Rab Douglas ahead of us.
k thx Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 In Pompey news, we're set to sell our captain of the last few years, Arjan de Zeeuw, to Wigan for 100k. I can;t help but think that might come back to bite us in the ass.
deancoles Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 How many CB do you have? I can only think of Stefanovic and O'Brien.
