Superjoint Ritual

A Lethal dose Of American Hate

philip needs to retire now that hes gotten a paycheck for a few more of his nola buddies. pretty clear he doesn't give a shit anymore and he's just further tarnishing whatever legacy he made while in Pantera and Down(2 of my all time favorite bands....which makes this piss me off even more)

fuck Phil and his gang of rag tag nola punk band.

I was gonna do a full review. It turned out like that. I feel it's fairly appropriate given the subject material.

I heard one song.... "Dress Like a Target", and I thought it was pretty damned good.

Then again, I only liked one song "Fuck Your Enemy" from their last album, so I'm a little skeptical.

I haven't heard much SJR......I've heard mixed reviews. Now you seem to hate it, but do you hate Death metal in general? Or is it just that SJR is a crappy D-metal band?

SJR isn't death metal. They're a second rate hardcore band. And yes, they suck, much like, oh, just about everything Phil Anselmo involves himself in.

Obviously I'm biased against him, though, so my opinion on the matter shouldn't be listened to.

sjr has nothing to do with DM. they have more to do with amped up punk core or something. I enjoy a lot of DM. I don't enjoy this album because it is chock full of lazy performances and an uninspired ideal of 'We are hateful american alpha males, dun fuck with us motherfuckers'.

To be fair I enjoyed several of the riffs on the album in the sence that they are some fun little punk metal groove and shit, but that's about it.

I'm glad that I downloaded before buying, unlike the first one because this thing has about 0 replay value.

Holy shit, Superjoint is some real crap. Their first cd is just one long song that never changes, only broken into pieces. It has the most apropos title of any cd ever. It's like Reinventing the Steel, only even crappier. I haven't even bothered with the new one. To be quite honest, I had no idea it existed.
