Guest Korrosive Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Interesting that 3 years ago, HHH was loved on the internet for his matches...now everyone hates him. Out of all the guys you love now, who do you think will be the next "HHH of the internet"
Guest caboose Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Interesting that 3 years ago, HHH was loved on the internet for his matches...now everyone hates him. Out of all the guys you love now, who do you think will be the next "HHH of the internet" Well someone will have to go from putting the effort in, to becoming a injury prone hack who stays a top the card becuase of who they are fucking fro them to become the next 'HHH of the internet'.
Guest Choken One Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Well...Test and Shane are friendly... but we already hate Test and his "Potential"
Guest nikowwf Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I never loved HHH....even when he was having good matches he was just tolerable...he ALWAYS went over in the big matches, and people always had to get over despite him. He never put over Jericho, or Benoit, or Angle. niko
Guest Deviant Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I'm so sick of hearing "HHH was loved by you guys and now you hate him" as if we changed. Does no one else see a slight change in HHH's work over that time? In general, smarks like wrestlers who are, say, good at what they do. As for who's next, I see it being whoever doesn't know when to retire. Nothing is harder than watching a once great athlete fall from grace.
Guest Vyce Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I, for one, ALWAYS hated HHH. I just tolerated him because at one point he was putting on good (if not great) matches. But I never personally liked him.
Guest Choken One Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I never "personally" liked Benoit either so there. I just like his matches and that's that.
Guest Thunder Rising!!! Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 RO is a potential if he is not getting shit from the IWC already. But i guess that is because the WWE is shoving him down our throats.
Guest papacita Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I, for one, ALWAYS hated HHH. Same here. As for who we'll hate next... THAT DAMN FUNAKI! He's a backstage problem waiting to happen!
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I loved HHH's 98-01 run...but when he came back his matches weren't as good, he wasn't near as over, and yet he got the same push.
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I loved HHH's 98-01 run...but when he came back his matches weren't as good, he wasn't near as over, and yet he got the same push. Ditto. I was a big fan of his until he returned from the injury.
The Dames Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I'll admit it, I was a big Triple H fan at one point. I have a poster in my room (which is still up) and a Wrestlemania 16 plaque that he autographed. When he came back from the injury more muscular, slower and putting on craptacular matches, I didn't stop liking him. Even after he got the title, I didn't stop liking him because with all of the fanfare he was receiving for his comeback, it was obvious he was going back to the top, deserved or not. The Hell in a Cell match with Jericho is what did it for me. Dames
Guest MARTYEWR Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Ditto on most of the opinions of HHH. If I had to say anyone, it'd be Kurt Angle that's the next target. That all depends, of course, if the political rumours are true, and if any problems surrounding them get worse.
Guest The Old Me Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I thought HHH was a GOD when Austin was out with surgery. He really picked up the ball. He has since, dropped that ball.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I started hating Triple H when he did that RAW where he turned out to be the one who killed Shawn Michaels. That was the straw
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I've never been a hhh fan, but it was mostly due to the fact that he first got over as a flunky to Michaels, and for whatever reason I've ALWAYS hated him. And even after Michales "retired" it was hhh w/Xpac, and the New Age Outlaws, and Chynna, and I hated all of them. So, it's always been guilt by association for me. And now that he's slow and doesn't engage in good matches and plays political games, I have an actual reason to hate him. My guess for who'll be the next "Internet's Most Hated" would be one of the ones who gets lots of love now, so someone like Angle or Benoit (injury prone guys who use their leverage in the back to stay on top) or Lesnar or Cena (young guys who get bigheads and only look out for themselves.)
Guest Choken One Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Ditto on most of the opinions of HHH. If I had to say anyone, it'd be Kurt Angle that's the next target. That all depends, of course, if the political rumours are true, and if any problems surrounding them get worse. Angle is a good call... Maybe his neck will be His Quad.
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 At least Angle can move, work good matches, and deserves to be on top. That alone keeps him from turning into the next HHH.
The Dames Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 We could have said the same thing about HHH in 2000. That's not to say that Angle with be the next Triple H, because I don't believe that, but just wanted to reply to your statement. Dames
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Well he said that Angle's neck could be like HHH's quad. Angle is still kicking ass after returning. HHH never came close to the level he was once at.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I think we like Angle too much to turn on him. I do anyway
Guest Choken One Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Nah...knowin Karma... AS will turn into ORTONSAULT next summer
Guest CronoT Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 RO is a potential if he is not getting shit from the IWC already. But i guess that is because the WWE is shoving him down our throats. I agree that Randy Orton has the potential to become an "Internet's Most Hated Wrestler." He's getting a monster push, and so far he seems unable to prove his worthiness to have it. If he can start giving us some skill, he'll prove us wrong. If not, he'll just end up like Test; hated for wasting our time and money. Of course, being complicit with Triple H isn't helping any.
Guest Choken One Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Orton could go either the TEST route or the Rock route. He shows more ROCKISH then TESTISH for now.
Guest Korrosive Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I don't think it's fair to rag on Randy yet. With Vince Mcmahon forcing the slower paced matches on everybody (as evident with Benoit, and with the Jericho/HBK match) we may not be seeing Randy's full potential yet. I'm going to wait before i pass judgement.
David Blazenwing Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 I started hating Triple H when he did that RAW where he turned out to be the one who killed Shawn Michaels. That was the straw Same here. I started watching WWE the night after WM X8 and thus, never got to see the "old" Triple H, so I was quite content with the "new" Triple H. Until he destroyed HBK. Not cool. Not cool at all. I'm still an HBK fan, though. But The Hurricane is my favorite wrestler. Well, Hurricane, Edge and John Cena tie for first place. WORD LIFE!
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 Don't worry dude, I think HBK is going to be o.k. HHH put him over TWICE on PPV. *Looks at Jericho* Now HERE is somebody who needs a little help........
