I'm a casual fan of both bands and classic rock acts(My favorite genre) don't come around this area often. I heard both ZZ Top and Ted Nugent got killer live acts, so I'm wondering if buying tickets to this show would be considered a good purchase.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted July 24, 2003 Report Posted July 24, 2003 In a word, YES! I saw the Nuge is 2000 on the KISS tour, and he was unfuckingbelievable. He was loud, rude, crude, and SHREDDED IT. He closed with "The Great White Buffalo", which is reason enough to see him live. As for ZZ, I haven't seen them, but my uncle has several times. He tells me that they do indeed put on a killer live show, and that Billy Gibbons is better live than on their albums. See this show.

Nuge will play his staples (most likely an especially long Stranglehold) and ZZ Top has more good songs than you'd guess (I especially liked La Grange). Unless it's super expensive, I'd definitely go.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd with Double Trouble, who should also be very good, is opening for them for most of the tour, but they might be gone by September. I also saw Nuge during the Kiss tour and he rocked. My favorite parts were when he was golf clapping and said, "Give it up for that Kiss shit. I love that Kiss shit." And after he played Wang Dang Sweet Poontang, "Man that was so smoking, even the pussy is gonna get pussy tonight!"

They're not advertised as being on this show but if they are the show is a must for me. Tickets are $39.50, so ticket prices aren't a problem. I think I'll probably try and get tickets, the only problem now is finding someone to go with me
