No Fan Axxess Next Year?

I got this in my email this morning from a newsletter I subscribe to. I haven't seen it reported anyplace else so take it as speculation for now.

 

NO FAN AXXESS FOR WRESTLEMANIA XX

- The WWE travel department just informed all WrestleMania travel

package holders that there will not be a Fan Axxess next year. "Your

WrestleMania XX Travel Package does not consist of tickets to attend Fan

Axxess, as Fan Axxess will not be held in New York City during

WrestleMania XX," the note said. This will be the first time since

WrestleMania 2000 that no Axxess will be done. The plan was the same for

this year's Mania but the company ended up throwing a rushed job that

resulted in a half-@ssed Fan Axxess that disappointed many fans in

attendance.

I did notice something interesting. I got the auto-reply email about the Wrestlemania Travel Packages and AXXESS is not listed on the packages anymore.

I think it' kind of stupid to stop doing Axxess on the 20th anniversary of WM.

Back then it was "Fan Fest", but it was the same thing.

By then, I should have the replica of my avatar...and I'd like to see whoever is the WWE (not World Heavyweight) champion with that belt on to compare.

I've got a travel package as well and there was never going to be a Fan Axxess - instead, we have two meet and greet sessions (read: stand in big long fu*k-off queue and get autographs) instead.

 

Axxess has slowly been going downhill since WM-X7.

It probably wouldn't be that great. Some of you may not realize, but in Niagara Falls..they have a theme WWE store with some gay ass ride called the piledriver. Anyway...Me and my buddies travelled there so we could meet Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross, Edge, Test, Stacey, Brock Lesnar. Well we went on Saturday morning at 11 am. You have to wait in line for 4 hours just to get Jim Ross's autograph. When we FINALLY got in...he was saying the same grumpy response to everyone "i appreciate you being here"...Furthermore, they wouldn't let you go in the store and buy something for Jim to sign. So basically I sat in line for 4 hours just to get a piece of paper autographed and a disgruntled Jim Ross saying thanks. We were so pissed off over this and even how security was treating people (screaming at mothers with little kids to "move the line") that we decided not to even bother meeting the other ones. If this is any indication on how WWE is..I wouldn't even think twice of going to AXXESS.
