Toshiaki Koala 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2003 I'm not talking about angles, characters, or storylines, but the names themselves. Although the move was rarely called by this name, I would say the "Hollycaust" is up there. Yes, I know a holocaust is a big fire, but who really thinks of that when they hear the word? Guest BorneAgain Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Pogo the Clown no question. A name based on the alter ego of rapist/murderer John Wayne Gacy. His finishing move is "Buried in the Basement", which is where Gacy buried his victims. Real fucking classy. Oh and we can't forget the geniuses at the WCW braintrust calling one of their wrestlers "Final Solution" before realizing that just happened to be the secret name of the holocaust and changed it to Ultimate Solution. Guest Evolution Report post Posted July 27, 2003 The Christopher Street Connection in Ring of Honor have a tag team finisher called the Gay Basher, which might be alright since they have a gay gimmick, but still.
Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Papichulo (Aguila without his mask), who was in WWF for a while 1997-ish, always got ragged on because his name translated into English means "male homosexual pimp".

While I agree that it's completely tasteless, methinks that being completely tasteless was it's intent. Considering that he was a garbage wrestler in a glorified backyard league, with a fanbase of porno-fans looking for blood, I don't think that there was much chance of turning off the audience with the gimmick. Just John 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2003 How about the two women on Raw named "The Lesbians?" No individual names, just The Lesbians, complete with their own locker room.

Adam 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Yeah, Wifebeater opened my eyes. I mean seriously, why? Oh, and 'The Lesbians' were just stupid, not really tasteless.
Guest two_tuff_toddy Report post Posted August 8, 2003 I don't know how tasteless it would be but I read a recap once of a small indy wrestler who used the name of the Orgasmic Waiter and his two big moves were called the Seaman Splash and the Senior Citizen Discount.
