Guest HartFan86 Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 I haven't heard anything about a Rocky VI before, but has anyone else? He mentioned he'd like to see it happened, as would I.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 I heard he started the script a while ago. It's going to be low budget from what I hear.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 Yeah, the idea is that Rocky, Jr. starts boxing and Sly takes on the Mickey role as trainer.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 This is what Greg at Yahoo thinks http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hp&cf=prev&...8405668&intl=us
Guest the 1inch punch Posted July 28, 2003 Report Posted July 28, 2003 Well, personally, i think it will suck balls
LooseCannon25 Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 I heard in Rocky VI that Rocky will be fighting his own son after he takes up boxing. Rocky will be his trainer and some conflict will happen. I mean fighting his freakin son......Jesus christ, does it get any worse than that. Why not just bring an americanized Drago back with Apollo Creed's spirit as his manager to challenge Rocky.
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 I read somewhere that he was going to make a comeback, Foreman style.
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 That's why Sly has been getting in shape, for "Rocky VI". I heard this on ET like 4 months ago.
Guest HartFan86 Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 This has been in the making for 3 years? Shows you how much I've been paying attention. The script sounds eh. I like the idea of the Foreman comeback, but fighting his son is too WWE-ish.
Rendclaw Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Heh, you guys are a little too jaded towards the WWE, if you;re seeing WWE plot devices in move scripts. Not like there isn;t anything WWE is putting out not worthy of getting jaded about.
Guest NCJ Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 That is not the plot. Sportscenter had a brief clip with Stallone talking about Rocky VI at a celebrity golf tournament few months ago. He said this time he will be fighting a "230 pound version of Allen Iverson." A guy who is a lot like Rocky was with a lot of heart, but is wondering how good he really is.
Rob E Dangerously Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 He said this time he will be fighting a "230 pound version of Allen Iverson." So, he's fighting Creed again?
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Rocky's a vegetable, how will this work... *idea* Have the movie start with Rocky rising from a hospital bed and being told he just lost to Apollo Creed (Rocky's 3-5 were a coma induced "dream")... oh man , wait that's worse than the real script...
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Well since Sly already killed off Mickey and Apollo, isn't it about time Paulie or Adrian died? Preferably Adrian..........
Guest PhantMan Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 Just book Adriana to screw Rocky over some fresh meat. Then have Rock find her and her new stud in bed and have Adriana look straight at him and utter "Yo Rock.. i did it!"
Guest Boo_Bradley Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I'd like this to turn into a domestic dispute movie they can call it "A Rocky Relationship"
Guest PhantMan Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I wonder when will Rock punch out that phony paulie. the simple fact he drew Rock bankrupt in episode 5 should be enough.
Guest Lethargic Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I just watched all the movies. I'd just like to say, if you think part 6 will be bad, go back and watch the first 5. THEY ALL SUCK. Some of them are entertaining because of their suckiness but they all suck. If part 6 sucks, it'll just fit right in.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 The first Rocky is a classic. Shut up
Guest Lethargic Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I didn't say it wasn't a classic, I said it sucked. It's slow and boring. It has some of the worst writing you could ever see in a movie. It has a slow build up for nearly 2 hours for a boxing match that is less than 10 minutes long and is nothing but a montage of Rocky getting punched in the face over and over. It has some good moments, it's not terrible. But for a movie that won the Oscar for best movie, yeah, it sucks. After I re-watched it all I could think was "how bad were the rest of the movies that year?"
Guest Lightning Flik Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 But for a movie that won the Oscar for best movie, yeah, it sucks. After I re-watched it all I could think was "how bad were the rest of the movies that year?" I don't think you can really say that about a movie winning an Oscar. Cause most movies that get THAT Oscar usually never should've been on the ballot.
Guest Lethargic Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Wow, I looked it up. Here are the movies he beat for best picture... All the President's Men Bound for Glory Network Taxi Driver Yeah, now I DO hate Rocky. haha

Hmmm... thats strange, considering the best and most well known critics and film scholars usually list it as one of the greatest films of all time... but what do they know eh? lol
