Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Iron Maiden's drummer Nicko McBrain has gotten himself in some trouble. According to reports, he was arrested for allegedly trying to run over a parking lot attendant on Saturday night at the Jones Beach Theatre. Apparently McBrain took issue with the fact that the attendant asked numerous times to check his credentials to park in the VIP lot, at which point McBrain pulled forward and hit his legs and knocked him onto the hood of his jaguar. McBrain played the show - and the attendant went to the hospital with minor injuries. McBrain is charged with assault and reckless endangerment. It is unclear whether McBrain's charge will affect Iron Maiden's upcoming concert dates in Canada beginning August 1st in Quebec City. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK I see Iron Maiden this Sunday... Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted July 29, 2003 What a fucking idiot. Hope they don't have to cancel on you after this, but that fucker needs locked away if this is true. Btw have you seen the new album cover? That's gotta be one of the crappiest covers I've seen in a long time.

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 And Nicko is 92835612903846512938012359812739184192837129851290831239856x greater than Vince Neil. I hope Nicko doesn't get into too much trouble, and I seriously hope they don't cancel on you.
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Nicko is known for having a hellacious temper, too. I hope it doesn;t cause them to have to cancel any shows, especially since I have ambitions to see them in late august....

Swift Terror 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2003 Well, Nicko was a dumbass that night, but I'm not canceling my plans to see them in Columbus, OH on 9 Aug. He has yet to mention the incident in his "Nicko dairies" section at the Maiden web site. Hopefully he tell what happened and own up to acting a fool. Judging from his previous writings he seems like an affable dude, he musta just flipped his lid for whatever reason. Up the Irons!!
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted July 30, 2003 My favorite part is when he was yelling "Do you know who I am?!"...of course the guy didn't know.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Btw have you seen the new album cover? That's gotta be one of the crappiest covers I've seen in a long time. i wouldnt expect anything else from Iron Maiden
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Well. That's odd behaviour from someone who I believe is a born-again Christian... And I was going to make a comment about "in a long time" meaning since Edward the Great but good GOD, that is a shitty cover. It has an interesting idea to it...but it looks like, since they don't have Riggs to draw the covers anymore (And Riggs owns your balls - don't deny it) they just kinda randomly took pictures from online and stuck them in there. I swear that's the dancing baby with a mask on. I dunno, it COULD have been good, if it was drawn by a capable artist, I think. God, I miss Riggs so much... I'm gonna go stare at the cover of Brave New World for like, two hours.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 30, 2003 its better than No Prayer For The Dying album cover IMO
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 30, 2003 I just....it's the fact that it's so computery. That's gonna look so silly in a few years, mark my words. I don't mind any of their other covers, save The X Factor, mainly because it disturbs me, but yeah...I have no problems with No Prayer, though I will admit it's not one of their best. Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 30, 2003 I know someone who met Maiden after a gig in the 80s, and swears to God McBrain is one of the funniest people he has ever met in his life. 'Sorry about the running you over prank...'

Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Most drummers are funny people, because they're rather demented and hyper.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 31, 2003 You know what Rendclaw? People who know me personally would probably agree with you 100% on that point. I mean, I've always been demented and hyper, but I just never blamed the drums...
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Out of all the drummers I have ever seen, there are a handful that were on an even keel... I knew one personally for a band I used to hang with back in CT... good drummer and nice guy.... Even Neil Peart was standoffish and isolated (by his own admission in his recent book) and he is a drumming GOD. I dunno what it is, just the mentality, nothing personal meant by it... All you have to do is listen to the Two Minutes to Midnight B-side "Mission from Harry" on how bad Nicko's temper is because a roadie screwed up his drum solo. I read an interview with Nicko years later and he admits that he has a terrible temper.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted July 31, 2003 I suppose you have to be a little suspicious of people who hit things with sticks for a living.
