Guest C-Bacon Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Ok, I'm from Mississauga (suburb of Toronto) and I plan to attend WrestleMania XX this year in NY. My aunt lives there, so i have no need for accomodation, i just need a fail proof way to get tickets. I plan on being on ticketmaster.com the second they go on sale on September 27, but like many times before, fear the server will be congested. Would ordering by phone be more efficient? How many of you guys plan on going and whats your method of getting tickets to the show?
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted July 30, 2003 I, as well as others here usually get the password to order early before they go on sale to the general public. Keep your eyes open and you should see it. I think 1wrestling or 411 even advertised it as well.
Guest Goose749 Report post Posted July 30, 2003 yeah, but you can't do pre-sale over the phone, can you?
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Nah. Just do it online. Ticketmaster's site won't collapse or anything. It didn't last time. I entered the password the very moment you were allowed too and although I spent about 4 seconds looking at the map of the stadium, I still was early enough to get very front row tickets in my section. Guest Goose749 Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Well, maybe for Wrestlemania. When the Foo Fighters came to Boston, I tried internet presale the minute it started, and the site had crashed. Obviously some events have more support than others.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Was it ticketmaster.com or something else? Anyway, I tred it all day to see how quickly the seats were filling and it wasn't crashing or even slow. The other thing to remember is that even though the building is smaller that interest in wrestling has been at a total low anymore, so you stand a very good chance of at least getting something, though not so close you can count their armpit hairs. Yeah, im not TOO concerned about the seat location. My friend wouldn't be too thrilled with paying the $500 for floor seats anyway. Thanks for the suggestion! Guest Goose749 Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Oh, it was ticketmaster. And the Foo Fighters were playing in a small venue, remarkably small for such a popular band, hence the frantic rush and how pissed off I was when it crashed. So it was either the popularity, or other tix were also released same day, and that crashed the site.

Guest y2jailbait Report post Posted July 30, 2003 I just have the sickening feeling that I'll get online and get nothing. What is the password-type thing that some were talking about. Is it something wwe.com related or ticketmaster related?
Guest C-Bacon Report post Posted July 30, 2003 I just have the sickening feeling that I'll get online and get nothing. What is the password-type thing that some were talking about. Is it something wwe.com related or ticketmaster related? For WrestleMania X8 i got the password in the mail, it was something ridiculous like "Mania" . Then it got leaked on the net and i had to settle for 500 level seats
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 30, 2003 what type of Password is that? It should be something that doesn't conjure up in the mind... "LOGIC".
The Dames 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2003 Dames needs to push for a press credential or something. Hey, I would...but I have no idea how to go about it or whether or not I'd even get one, so the safest way for me to insure 'Mania seats... I'm camping out. Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted July 30, 2003 I would imagine the best ways (in order) are: pre-sale password via web website phone I've already got my ringside ticket (travel package) but will likely be helping some friends get theirs. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 30, 2003 That makes NO sense... You did him a favor...so why do you owe him anything... He should pay you back for all the things you've done for him
