Guest HBK16 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 And when we do they are in the wrong place. For example my MTV Awards thread. Dream car? your car? Your favorite car? Import or Domestic? Japanese or European? Cars you hate? Favorite kinds of cars? I.E. Sports, SUVs, sedans, trucks, Etc. Im going to start by saying something for each category. Dream Car- Toughie. But Im going with Ferrari 575M Maranello. $237,000 price tag but if you go for the F1 add $10,000 to that. http://caranddriver.com/assets/image/34200394716.jpg My Car- Escalade. It was given to me. Some already know. Look at my profile and you can check out the system in it. Favorite Car- Benz CL Class. Always been a fan of Mercedes for as long as I can remember. Import or Domestic- Its obvious here that I lean over to domestics. More reliable. Japanese or European- I had to sit and think. But European comes out on top. European cars have more class than Japanese cars. And I need class. BMW, Benz, Porshce, and of course Ferrari's. But who can forget the Lamborghini and the might Mclaren. Cars I hate- The only European car I will ever hate, Audi TT. And most domestics. Favorite kinds of cars- Sports cars and luxury cars.
Guest Choken One Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 It's not fun in an Organized structure.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I will still enjoy it. As soon as a conversation fires up.
Guest Choken One Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 I'm just saying the convo flows better in topics like MTV Movie Awards and Dildo techniques.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 That always seems to happen to me. The conversation I want starts in the wrong thread and then I make one dedicated to it and it fails. Its just me I guess.
Guest Choken One Posted July 30, 2003 Report Posted July 30, 2003 It's not all your fault...well it kinda is. Cars are one of those great convos that are great if it starts up out of no where and ISN'T meant to be dicussed. And besides...You scare people off by showing off your sick car knowledge.
Guest El Satanico Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I like muscle cars, custom cars/trucks of every type and year, european cars and the race bred Japanese sports cars. One of my favorite cars has always been a 1969 Camaro with the Yenko tuned versions being my preferred choice.
Guest CED Ordonez Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I finally got the brakes serviced on my Civic (a mere centimeter left on the pads...) and the C.V. joints and boots replaced since the dreaded clicks were getting quite audible . Normally I wouldn't bitch about repairs, but I'm in my 5th day of unemployment and had to dip into part of my b-day in Reno fund as a result. *cries at less money to blow at blackjack* Like I have said in nearly every single one of HBK16's makeshift threads about cars, I've got a bias against heavily riced street cars. Some rims and a few things under the hood are fine in my book but once the excessive body kits and wings come into play, someone needs to get slapped and slapped hard. To paraphrase ricecop.com, "You are NOT a beautiful and unique snowflake." I also have a hatred towards the SUV limo I see roaming the streets of my town EVERY OTHER FUCKING DAY. I mean, ye gods, I could probably siphon that bastard's tank and not need to refuel for another six weeks. Other than that, as long as the car is well-maintained, I can appreciate it. My preference in cars is fairly simple. My car is my 96 Honda Civic hatchback. Everything's stock except for the rims and the stereo, but, dammit, I love my little green bastard. My knowledge about cars is minimal. I can change my oil and replace flat tires, but that's about it. I didn't know about my car's engine specs for a good three years before finally reading about them while looking for an oil filter.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 http://www.menacespeed.com/1996civichatchb...hbackpage1.html Check that out to find out everything about you car. Very helpful stuff.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Lets talk about cars, Cuz we never do Zuh? Anyways, as far as I go, the new GT I'm getting to replace the totalled one (yes, it was totalled FINALLY) is going to be black on black now, with the interior upgrade package to boot (imagine the beauty of that aluminum-colored center panel on the black interior), for the same price as they let me have the other one. It's really nice of them, as I traded in a couple of beaters for $1000 on the down payment on the one I wrecked to make the total down payment $4000 with the instant rebate. Plus, it's more expensive with the interior package (as well as an MP3-ready stereo this time). Now if only that insurance guy would get back in town, they can cut Ford a check and I can get that new one.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 What year is it? My friend's mom is giving him her 6 Cyl. Mustang and replacing it with a Hummer.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 A 2003, brand new. Find out more about it by clicking on the advertisement in my sig! Black 2003 Deluxe GT with the Interior Upgrade Package and the Mach stereo system that has MP3 capability. Yeah, if anyone from Ford happens to see this, feel free to send me a check for advertising!
Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Oh yeah that is nice. Your making me a Mustang person Kotz!
Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Whats your oppinion on the new GTOs? Do you know the engine specs? You can already reserve them on Ebay.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Yeah, it's a 5.7 putting out 340 advertised. I don't think they look nearly aggressive enough to be a muscle car or even come close to honoring the hallowed GTO name.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 For comparison: 2004 GTO. 1966 GTO, the best year, asthetically, in my opinion.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Oh yeah. I can see where you are coming from. I havent really seen any clean GTOs so it was hard to compare. The 2004 Doesnt look muscle at all.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 Of course, that's a concept drawing, here's a real one (or the last one that was released to the press that I know of): That concept drawing looks like they're trying to make an American Vanquish or something. Admittedly, the current Mustangs don't look a lick like the old ones except for a few styling cues, but at least they look like they have some bite. The only other car that had a real aggressive look to it that fit into the same classification was the Trans Am, and that's gone now thanks to GM and their Smilin' Camaros.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 My problem with muscle cars is that its very hard to find a very nice one. I see a few but not enough to turn me into a real fan.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I like cars ranging in price from 300-1000 dollars, with an AM/FM radio, and functional engine. If I could have any car..A rusted out late 60's cadillac that no one would ever dream of stealing or vandalizing, with an IMMACULATE engine, no less that five grand sunk into audio, with a security system, shotgun in the trunk, and no muffler.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 My problem with muscle cars is that its very hard to find a very nice one. I see a few but not enough to turn me into a real fan. We've got a guy in a pristine 1969 true blue Mach 1 driving around regularly here, as well as a bunch of other old Mustangs, and a guy with a 1966 Tempest convertible. I'm exposed a lot to them.
Guest El Satanico Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 I have no problem with the styling of the new GTO. It looks like what a modern muscle car should look like. Clean and simple without being overly aggressive looking. You don't see the high performance BMWs and Mercedes wearing extremely aggressive styling do you.
Guest El Gigante Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 The new GTO looks like a Grand Am with a few new modifications to me. As for me I drive a 1993 Mustang, but my dad has a 1987 Corvette, a 1992 Chevy 454SS truck, and a 1996 Impalla SS. Hes a big car person so I have been around muscle cars my whole life.
Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 You don't see the high performance BMWs and Mercedes wearing extremely aggressive styling do you. Thats what I like about the Benz. They are clean cut but can put out a lot of power. The Same goes for the BMWs with the exception of the Z4 and Z8. But other than that the 3, M3, 5, and 7 Series are all clean but with power.

Guest HBK16 Posted July 31, 2003 Report Posted July 31, 2003 No I didnt say there was something wrong with it. I like the Z8 more than the Z4. Im just saying that they are more sporty than the rest of the BMWs.
