Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 8, 2003 We should call kotz granny now. Worried about safety and about someone going 90. haaaysoooos 90 in a sports car isn't that big of a deal. Hell while driving to florida I had a mini van up to 87 from not paying attention and going with the traffic flow. 90 in a mini van is a bit fast, but come on a modern mustang is a sports car...supposedly Want a classic car with safety...buy a early 60's Caddy. They may not have air bags and crumple zones but they will be like hot knife to butter if they hit any modern car. You'd be safe...the other driver wouldn't be. EDIT: Just a reminder that I'm just fucking with you
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Naw HBK, that's one of the 2001 Bullitt edition GTs. No spoiler, either green or black, special rims (which come on Premium GTs now), red brake calipers, and special interior amenities (which came with mine as part of the interior upgrade package; racing pedals, painted aluminum center panel, etc). When I get a picture of mine, it'll be my sig, trust me.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Oh. Cant wait to see a pic of the car. I saw an unmarked Cobra police car. It was hauling ass. 2 miles up the road, it had 1 Civic and a Cavalier that were all suped up looking ridiculous with 747 wings and body kits. Probably racing. Dumbasses. WukenBloodstar 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Hmm..I think I will sell my car for a Dodge SRT-4, I love that car in red..took it for a test drive..
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 The SRT 4 has a lot of power, but its always appealed to me as more of a girls car.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 I did have an SRT 4 as a car of the week though..
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 You have unmarked COBRA police cars around there? Any idea what year they are? We've got GT interceptors around here now, which baffles me because we had newer Z28s before, and those are much more powerful, especially if they've been modified for police use. (and I can only imagine how short that chase might have been...)
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Haha. yeah. They said Cobra in that back. But I am not sure of the year. I have also seen a WRX police car. It was marked though. It looked really cool. Theres actually a few out there in the US. We also have some Z28s but not in my area. But in a smaller more desert town up north from where I live.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Must've been a 1999 or 2001 Cobra (no 2000 or 2002s were made), because there's no way they'd give the monster 2003s for police use. And I can only imagine how cool an Impreza police car would look. Some departments in this state have BMWs for whatever reason. They're in the real rural areas too.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 Yeah they have the better ones in the rural areas here too. I have been pulled over by a Mini cop car in the richiest city in Arizona.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 8, 2003 HBK...you do know that's a model of the Ferrari and not a real Ferrari right. A mini cop car? Do you mean a MINI Cooper? If so that would be hilarious to see. I like the MINI, but seeing it as a cop car in the US would be funny. What do you mean the SRT-4 is a girls car. Nothing with real power and built as a race car should be called a "girls car". I mean come on...the SRT-4 is an economy version of the Viper.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 But... it's a Neon.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 8, 2003 (edited) And? The Dodge GLHS was just an Omni. Cobra's must be shit too since they are just a shitty V6 Mustang with a better engine. Ah ha! Edited August 8, 2003 by El Satanico
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 8, 2003 While I'm here I'd like to comment on my new sig. This is one bad ass Hummer. 39" Super Swampers(offroading tires) 20" Boyd Coddington rims Candy green Flames a complete Alpine audio video system 6 amps 4 TVs(one for driver and three for passengers) 2 12" Subs 4 sets of 6.5 Components 2 12 disc changers Navigation System It may not do it too often, but it's not too often you see a Truck wearing 20" or larger rims that's capable and prepared to go off road. Am I the only one here that loves Humvees? If I'm not alone do you guys like the original or the H2 better?
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 I liked the originals better. And the GLHS was a Shelby product, thus making it the shit automatically. I won't even TOUCH that Cobra remark, you know better.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 8, 2003 (edited) Yes, the GLHS is a Shelby car and yes it is a bad ass little car. The SRT-4 may not be a Shelby car, but it's also a bad ass little car. The SRT-4 is the new generation GLHS for Dodge. Based on the power numbers the SRT-4 is BETTER than the GLHS. I only found the first year power stats. The GLHS likely beats the SRT-4 on weight which probably gives it a handling edge, but the SRT-4 is built to have good handling too. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2003 A bunch of ricers pursued me like a swarm of angry bees tonight downtown after I passed their little lineup and revved my engine at them. It was pretty funny to see me take off from all of them as we got out of town and on open road.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 9, 2003 You know stories like that are only good when someone is acting like an idiot and then proceeds to get embarrased. When the story is "there was bunch of guys driving down the road minding their own business so i drove past them and revved"...it's not so good. Honestly, it just makes you sound like a "mullet wearing, pbr drinking, hair metal listening, primered muscle car driving" bully.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2003 I wouldn't have done it if they hadn't called my car a piece of shit and told me was a Domestic-driving asshole.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 10, 2003 On caranddriver.com they have the 360 Spyder as released. Could be wrong though.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 10, 2003 Yes it was a Mini Cooper cop car. It was a little funny looking. Looked like they got the idea from Europe or something. And I just think the SRT4 is more of a girls car because of its history. Like the Miata.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 I went to the tracks today. Get my friend's car on the dyno. He put his car on the dyno when he first got it. Topped off at 193 HP. That was about 6 months ago. Since then he has added AEM cam gears, JE Sport Pistons, AEM Pulley kit, Venom Intake Manifold, AEM cold air intake, GReddy cat back system, and a Blitz Turbo. The car was 304 HP on the dyno. Pretty good. We were going to do an engine swap but the engine was $4,000 and he didnt have the money at the time. There was an older muscle car there too. I dont know what it was but it was a Pontiac. It was dynod at over 650 HP. It was a nice car. Very clean. I will check out some pictures of old Pontiacs and see if I can figure out what it was exactly.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 What does your friend have? 304 at the wheels is damn good.
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Intergra Type R.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Well, that explains a lot. Are the Type Rs RWD or FWD? And how the heck did your friend get a hold of one? Don't they only import 500 or so real ones a year?
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Im not sure if its RWD or FWD. And on how he got the car, this kid has money. He chose the Type R over a Benz. Might I add hes only 16. And its his first car.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Well, since you were present for the dyno test, were the front or rear wheels the ones they had the dyno actually on?
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 he choosed a type r over a benz..... dumbass...
Guest HBK16 Report post Posted August 11, 2003 Yeah thats what I said to him. A Benz would have been nice. But hes into the sport cars rather than a European luxury car. I was mad at him actually, Told him I couldnt tuen up his car. But he came over my house with a turbo kit and it looked like fun to install. So I gave in. Maybe the Neon..but the SRT-4(According to Dodge) Is NOT a Neon..it's an SRT-4 Anyway..I've driven..both a standard Neon and the SRT-4 and find nothing remotely the same..besides..this is the first year of the SRT-4, so where do ya base the history off?
