Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Don't have a source, but I've heard that it was Metallica's "St. Anger" from someone who went to the tapings.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 31, 2003 ...meh to the song. Sorry, but I can't really see that song fitting in well with whatever the WWE has planned.

Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Someone could probably make an analogy with a once great company that's in the creative gutter now using a once great band's song that is the title track from their new CD, which most of their fans agree doesn't measure up to their past glory. But I don't know enough about Metallica to do that...
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Depends on if they used the fucked up radio edit or the better paced album version... Yes for the record I like the album version.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted July 31, 2003 "Since I Left You" should be the theme for WWE fans who converted to TNA fans. Just an observation since I finally got The Avalanches album.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 31, 2003 I think they'd have to use the radio edit for 2 reasons: 1. Take out the swearing. 2. The song is seven minutes long. (Seven minutes of pointless nothing, I might add - I mean, Jesus, in the TWO MINUTES of stuff they cut out, I think it's all STILL played at some point during the song. But that's what happens when you decide to make a song seven minutes long without putting seven minutes worth of stuff into it. Sorry, tangent.)
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 31, 2003 I still say they oughta go old school like they did with HIGHWAY TO HELL. Or they can use "River runs red" although A suicide plea isn't really something you want to market your $35 PPV with.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Or they can use "River runs red" although A suicide plea isn't really something you want to market your $35 PPV with. Some would say that's where the company is headed... ...suicide.

Some would say that's where the company is headed... ...suicide. I got the razor at my wrist 'Cause I can't resist I've got this fever burnin' fist That does as I wish But when I get downtown And see what's around I just know there's got to be A better place to be found CHORUS Oh, God help me The river runs red and I think I'm dyin' Well I knew there'd come a day When my mind would say 'Hey are you afraid' Well all I know is that I been down here tryin' Well, I'll bleed on through the night I suppose I'll bedead by the morning light No don't be surprised if you mind when you find me CHORUS Oh, God help me

Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Or rather if they wanted something Modern and "Popular" they could have gone with... "Liberate" Disturbed or "Send the Pain Below"-Chevelle both are better then St. Anger
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted July 31, 2003 Good Lord!Hetfield said fuck! METALLICA IS BACK AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER. I'm convinced thats what they were hoping the fans would think when they heard Hetfield cursing more than he ever did in his previous 2 decades with the band. Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 31, 2003 I liked, Having hurt, So send the pain below, Where I need it. You used to beg me, To take, Care of things, And smile at the thoughts, Of me failing. But long before, Having hurt, I’d send the pain below, I'd send the pain below. Much like suffocating, Much like suffocating, Much like suffocating (I'd send the pain below), Much like suffocating (I'd send the pain below). You used run me away, All while laughing, Then cry about that fact, Til my returns. But long before, Having hurt, I'd send the pain below, I'd send the pain below. Much like suffocating, Much like suffocating, Much like suffocating (I'd send the pain below), Much like suffocating (I'd send the pain below), Much like suffocating! I can't feel my chest (chest, chest), Anymore, Drop down, Cause I am, huh I can't feel my chest (chest, chest) (RAHH!!!.) Drop down! (RAHHHHHH!!!.) I liked, Having hurt, So send the pain below, So send the pain below (Much like suffocating) (I liked), So send the pain below (Much like suffocating) (Having hurt), So send the pain below (Much like suffocating), So send the pain below (Much like suffocating), So send the pain below. Yeah that's a Foley Desire right there
