Brock Lesnar once arrested for Steroids

Recommended Posts

Guest AndrewTS

Did you read the article?

It was growth hormones. :P And he was cleared of charges.

26? I thought they were hyping him up as being 23/24 pretty recently.

Brock Lesnar, the World Wrestling Entertainment champion, was once arrested for illegally possessing steroids, though the felony charge against the 26-year-old athlete was dismissed four months after his January 2001 arrest. Lesnar, pictured in the below mug shot, was popped by Louisville Division of Police detectives after receiving and opening a parcel that cops said contained a "large amount of steroids."

Lesnar, a 295-pound former college wrestling champ, was in Kentucky training at a WWE facility. Hit with a trafficking in controlled substances charge, Lesnar was exonerated when tests showed that the seized pills were not, in fact, steroids. While a Louisville detective told TSG that the material was some kind of growth hormone, Lesnar's defense attorney, Scott Cox, characterized the confiscated pills as a "vitamin type of thing."

According to Cox, officers seemed "very apologetic" when lab results cleared Lesnar. It is unclear how investigators concluded that the parcel sent to Lesnar may have contained illicit substances.

Idiots.

And on a side note - Brock EDWARD Lesnar?!?

I guess if you have a name like BROCK you pretty much have to grow up to have a job where you kick guys asses.

Same if you have a feminine or sissy sounding name (MAURICE Smith, Rickson GRACIE).

Brock looks sad in those pictures. :(

And what's "Self Employed" suppose to mean? I'd laugh my ass off if his Alias was "The Next Big Thing."

I always thought Brock was more of a tough guy name rather than a preppy name.

As for the link, I guess (operative word for those that get their thongs in a knot over this kind of thing) that explains why when watching his Confidential piece from last year when they went through the photos of him, I noticed that he suddenly went from a relatively normal-sized guy in high school (heck, some of the photos made him to be almost skinny) to a monster in college.

BTW Andrew, Brock is 26 - born in 1977. WWE promoted him as 25 when he first won the title (which was accurate), but I don't recall them mentioning his age again.

Brock grew up on a farm, likes lifting weights, and was about the same size when he won the NCAA championship as he is now.

I would not be shocked in the least if he was one of the few who didn't use 'roids.

Yes. Lesnar's full name is Brock Edward. (On a side note, Venom's, from Marvel, real name is Edward ["Eddie"] Brock.

They only did that because Brock became the youngest champion in WWE history.

Brock and Edward are like ultimo prep geek names

I don't think I could live with myself if my first name was Nathaniel.

If it weren't for the fact that his acting ability isn't great, I would DEMAND that Brock played Brock/Venom in a Spiderman movie. Maybe by the time that story line comes around, he'll actually be able to act ...

*dreams on*
