Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 4, 2003 Triple H was recently interviewed for the summer 2003 edition of Gene Simmons Tongue Magazine. Here are some highlights from that interview: On Future Stars.. >> "My whole point in doing Evolution is to get guys over. Randy Orton and Dave Bautista are my projects. I see unlimited potential in both of them and want to make them stars. I'm gonna make those two kids stars or die trying." On Wrestlers vs. Rock Bands.. >> "We're the rock band that never stops touring. I see these rock bands in documentaries and they'll say, 'We toured for six months straight and the band was so tired and we hated each other and we all wanted to break up.' I think, 'F--k you.' We tour for six months and we're just getting rollin'. Lemme whack you with a chair every night at the end of our show and we'll see how you feel about it!" On Injuries.. >> "I basically wrestled with a broken leg at Wrestlemania last year." On Groupies.. >> "We're like the Beatles. [European female fans] don't see us very often, and they just go nuts. In places like Germany, guys would have records of who could get the most chicks, and repeat business didn't count." Bret Hart has updated the commentary over at his website, brethart.com. In it, he discusses a dream he recently had about returning to the wrestling business, and which of today's wrestlers impress him the most. To check it out, head over to brethart.com. The latest on The Rock is that he's not expected to be appearing on RAW tonight. As of yesterday, he was written into the show for whatever reason. DirecTV conducted an interview with Stephanie McMahon at the Summer Slam press conference, which will eventually air on channel 200. The word going around backstage is that Vince McMahon was furious with the camera work during last week's segment on RAW where Kane tombstoned Linda McMahon. The cameras were supposed to be focused on Kane's back during the move, but the camera crew messed up and everyone saw that Linda's head came nowhere close to the floor. What made matters worse is that Vince McMahon was seen coaching the camera crew throughout the day to make sure it was done right. Brock Lesnar will most likely turn heel on Kurt Angle during the cage match at this week's Smackdown. Kane will be debuting a new entrance video on tonight's RAW. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to Mike Laboska for the following: In the new issue of FLEX magazine there is a half page article talking about the bodybuilding pasts of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Batista. It says Cena sold supplements in California and was on the UPN show MANHUNT until he got into wrestling 3 years ago. It also talks about Brocks amateur wrestling past. Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted August 4, 2003 Well, if used correctly, Batista could be huge...I wouldn't mind that. He's got a great look, when used as Leviathan. Perhaps if he went back to his "DEMON" gimmick as opposed to his "club-goer who likes to lift weights" gimmick he'd get over. And if he didn't run really funny. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2003 So we FINALLY find out who HHH views as "Main Event Material"? And it's Randy Orton and Batista???

"My whole point in doing Evolution is to get me over. Randy Orton and Dave Bautista are going to do jobs for me in tag matches and see to it I have a good on-air reason to never lose the World Title. I see plenty of roids in them and an excuse to Vince that I am helping make stars. I'm gonna make those two kids stars or laugh my way to the bank robbing Vince blind trying." Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted August 4, 2003 Raw could potentially turn Batista into Brock Lesnar V3.0, if they were so inclined. Given the correct "monster" push, Batista could get over, and could become a fan favorite on this board. His look and his ringwork while under the Leviathan gimmick were entirely different, but since being forced into the "I like to work out" gimmick, he's been shat on nonstop. Give him some time in OVW and some repackaging and he could be huge.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted August 4, 2003 And potentially monkeys could fly out my ass and spread manna all over every country with starving people. However, I'm not counting on either one happening.
Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted August 4, 2003 Oh, I guarantee you that it won't happen...but it could. That's all I'm saying.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I'll give Davey one thing: he can do a clothesline, bah gawd. Suckbag has the potential to be slightly above average someday, at least!
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted August 4, 2003 I'll give Davey one thing: he can do a clothesline, bah gawd. Suckbag has the potential to be slightly above average someday, at least! No he can't. He injured his arm doing a simple clothesline. Orton could be a future star (and prima-donna, ala HBK or HHH), but Bautista shoulcd debut on Raw one night, fed to somebody, and then released.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 5, 2003 orton is good Based on his inability to get over, his lack of wrestling skills, his bad mic skills, or a combination of all three?

Iron Men like Kevin Nash have been injured doing less. "I basically wrestled with a broken leg at Wrestlemania last year." "...but I was still healthy enough to make Booker job and keep the title. For some reason, I wasn't so generous about making a new star out of Booker as I with Orton and Batista."
Cherry Blossom Viscount 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Give HHH some credit, at least he plans to put SOMEONE over. And damn, a few months ago, you all were complaining when HHH was in TOO MANY segments and now he's usually in one 5-10 minute segment/match per show and you all still find reason to complain. HHHate on my brothers, hhhate on.
Guest jester Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Plans to put someone over? I will believe it when it's done. And damn, a few months ago, you all were complaining when HHH was in TOO MANY segments and now he's usually in one 5-10 minute segment/match per show and you all still find reason to complain. HHHate on my brothers, hhhate on. I am not being inconsistent here. HHH is indeed usually in one 5-10 minute segment or match per show these days. That is too many segments. hhhate on. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 He's past time and time again on putting over the stars that the fans actually care about and RAW has suffered for it. So when he finally decides to put some guys over and no one cares about them and we're supposed to pat him on the back?

Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Triple H contradicts himself so much. First he says how certain wrestlers have to EARN it, then he comes out and tells us he has certain projects that he is gonna turn into stars, showing obvious bias, and the use of his political power. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 5, 2003 Ted Hart Bret gave one of his kidsa normal name? As opposed to "Beans" and "Blade"? Or is it someone else?

Pointing out the obvious, but Mick and Keith expend more energy moving around the stage for two hours than Triple-H could even conceive of at this point. And they don't injure themselves every few weeks. And they're twice his age. And Keith probably wouldn't even notice a stiff chairshot. So there.

Guest Deviant Report post Posted August 5, 2003 HHH has to drop the title now though, doesn't he? At this point, I think that's enough for me. Pity it will probably go to Goldberg or someone equally as bad(Nash).
