Kane was surprised! He needed to regroup!" please defend Shane beating the crap out of Kane at the beginning of there altercation. Please I'm waiting. Sure Kane came back and beat the ever loving shit out of Shane but at the beginning he got his ass whipped. Shane was pounding him into the rail and choking his ass out. Please tell me how in the hell Kane is supposed to look like a credible monster when Shane is standing there beating his ass. Hell he was all groggy and had to compose himself after he booted Shane. Shane should've jumped out of the ring and walked into the big boot. Or started swingning and realized he punches had no effect and back down a bit. But NO. He just ran in there and went toe to toe with Kane with absolutely no fear. And what was with that promo at the beginning of the show where he basically said "Yeah guess what? I'm not scared of Kane and I'll kick his ass just like I would anybody else's! Oh yeah! How do you like dem' apples!?" And then we have Lawler making comments about how Shane was the only person to do that much damage to Kane and blah blah blah. God this McMahon-a-Mania is really making me sick. Ok Vince we get it. You and your family are gods. You are better than all the wrestlers and all of the rest of us mere mortals. Thank you.

That and he threw pretty damn weak-looking punches to incapacitate Kane. And didn't wrestle. Shane beating the crap out of Kane is only a little less believable than Vince doing the same. And look at Vince... he's a steroid-sucking old goat. Okay, if some huge fucking moster beat the shit out of my mom, I may not kick his ass, but you better believe I'm getting a few good shots in. Kane's lip was bleeding afterwards, so it didn't look too bad. Shane was running on emotion, of course he was going to get SOME shots in.

He sucked balls last night in the opening promo. It didn't come off naturally at all. It seemed all forced. Last night Shane was on the level of his sister in regards to cutting a promo and acting. Go back and watch it again if you can. Not a good promo at all. Totally forced.

Guest Goodear Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 I'm perfectly happy with the angle from last night considering they moved Shane back out of the limelight and made sure that RVD is going to be on the PPV (color me shocked). Plus, as much as I was all... "bleh" about Shane's punches and stuff, Kane did a good job of slaughter again with the tombstone and the chokeslam into the turnbuckles from the floor. I have nothing to complain about.

No, that's perfectly all right and I can't see why so many are pissed about it. My issue last night was with Shane/Bishoff. We are to believe that Shane is going to go in and kick Kane's ass eventually somehow, and that's ok seeing his motivation after Kane took out his mommy. Given all of that, I thought it was kind of off setting to see Eric Bishoff totally fucking take Shane out at the begining of their match untill Shane pulled out the "desperately trying something because this guy is the shit" spear. I thought Eric made Shane look something the sort of a pussy, especially with that second kick. No offense to Eric, as I marked out for it. Still, that should never have been done before Shane faced Kane in any way.

Kane then proceeded to KILL him. What the hell is wrong with that? Are people going to remember Kane selling the punches, or Kane bouncing Shane's head off the steps, or the cool sound when Shane hit the turnbuckles/post?

I was happy to see Bisch get some offense on Shane. Bisch needs some fucking credibility and him saying "I'm a black belt" should mean something. Kane is, AND he's supposed to be an evil heel who wants to kill people. He lit someone on fire and trashed about 10 on the stage at the same time yet this little puny bitch always gets the best of him. It wasn't Shane getting lucky punches then getting trashed. It was him crapping on Kane for a good 5 minutes then Kane selling it. Kane shouldn't sell or get hurt in any way since he no sold the stunner. How can you no-sell the stunner and then let a little guy get punches in on you two weeks in a row.

It was nice for them to let RVD have the SS spot so he actually gets a halfway decent ppv payoff for a big show. (unlike WM) Unfortunately I still believe Shane O Mac will still find a way into the match so his big bump can suck away all the heat and work from RVD and Kane.

That requires the other guy to get offense in first. You guys need to go watch more old Kane matches or something from 98. Go watch him no-sell Vader (an odd sight.)
