But surely you wouldn't support putting the title on a part-timer who rarely works house shows, is well past their prime and a proven ratings loser over a full-time worker with a full career ahead of them.

If the full timer is among the worst all around guys in the company I would.

HBK and Nash might be dinosaurs but they are dinosaurs with *some* heat.

But both HBK and Nash are proven failures as champion. Why bother giving them another reign. At least Orton is something new. So, he'll probably fail just like HBK and Nash. BUT, wouldn't it be better to have it be someone who's new but you think will fail, as opposed to someone who's had plenty of opportunites and failed every time. At least he *might*, though unlikely to happen, be succesful as champ, you know already HBK and Nash are failures.

Orton has failed at putting on a good match

Orton has failed at creating a decent character (Even RNN was WAY over rated)

Orton has failed at getting over.

I don't understand you being so down on Randy Orton. So, he's no Chris Benoit or Eddie Guerrero, but at the same time, he's no Billy Gunn or Albert.

No, He's Test: The Next Generation.

That's only because he hasn't been around long enough for us to judge him as such. However, much like Billy Gunn, Orton leeches off the heat (whatever there is) from his stablemates.

No, He's Test: The Next Generation.

Test has more charisma (well.....probably no less charisma than Orton).

Test has been mildly over at at least one point in his career (unlike Orton - the RRN updates don't count).

Test has been carried to decent matches (the same cannot be said about Orton at this point).

Oh, and as for the Orton > Thesz comparison, I must disagree.

I think Angle or Benoit could probably carry Thesz's rotting corpse to a better match than they could Orton.

On the Thesz thing: apparently some of us forgot the joke and are actually analyzing how Orton would fare against a dead body. (Insert Evolution/Triple H/Katie Vick joke here)

Nah. I say Triple retains. You'll see.

Let's see: 11 months of overexposure of him. He's injured at the moment and shouldn't even be trying to tough this one out. SummerSlam just has that "Its that time to lose the title" vibe. There's five other wrestlers in there with him all wanting to win the title. HBK and Y2J are the only good workers in this mach. And for HHH to STILL come out on top at the end? God, I'll be pissed if that happens. If Brock turns heel and defeats Angle at SS, I'm expecting a face to win the 2nd EC.

And they were right. The problem is, Vince is retarded.

I would like to believe they aren't that stupid, but it wouldn't shock me if Orton did win.

Remembers Vince McMahon once saying, "You want shocking? You'll get shocking!"

Nash-no chance of ever getting a title after not drawing for shit in the solo feud with Crips.

In Nash's defense, Judgment Day did draw better than Backlash.

Call me a fool but maybe they'll reward Jericho for losing practically every PPV match in recent memory and give him the belt...nah.

As much as a Jericholic that I am, I'll admit that Jericho's biggest win this year so far on a PPV was getting a win over fucking Jeff Hardy.

That's because it's his only singles PPV win so far this year.

Royal Rumble: is eliminated from the Rumble match.

No Way Out: beats Jeff Hardy.

WrestleMania: loses to HBK.

Backlash: wins in a 6-man tag match when HHH pins Nash.

Judgment Day: is eliminated from the IC title battle royal.

Bad Blood: loses to Goldberg.

So if something that should be illegal like Orton winning des happen, which I don't believe for a second(mainly because I don't want to), the question remains: Who pins Goldberg? Or how does Goldberg get eliminated?

Two Ways...

Goldberg goes for the spear on Jericho or Orton and said heel moves and Goldberg CRASHES into the glass chamber vault....

Said Heel drags him to the ring and covers him for the pin...

Jericho breaks Kayfabe and breaks out the front face lock...

HHH and Vince look the other way...

A-Train is better than Orton, and Billy Gunn has improved a bit since expanding his moveset. Gunn's biggest problem, and still is, his inability to work a 3 minute match without getting blown up.

Well at least we all know that Jericho is getting eliminated first. And whatever happen to getting over before getting that big Vince McMahon push? They did it with Brock last year and it worked since he was allowed to beat 90%of the WWE roster. But Orton hasn't done anything besides being in the injured list to earn a push. Orton's RNN skits were entertaining because it was a breath of fresh air compared to the other skits on RAW at the time, and his wrestling skills are non-existent.I could think of 4 different guys that could be in the main event for the world title instead of that shitbag Orton.

WWE most deserving wrestlers that should be main eventing for the world title:

Kane(just because of his storyline getting good ratings)

RVD

Book

And if he was on RAW:

Benoit

at this point, i don't think kane needs the belt. his story is compelling enough without the title, & i think the title might actually detract from it at this point. the title is better served to make another story more compelling.

Oh do we?

The last time we had a E.C

Jericho whom was booked more shitty last fall was quickly sold as a Threat to win the match (Giving him the Desire treatment with a Special Enterance and was one of the final three men, when you had RVD and Booker and Kane going out before him)

HHH knows if he wants his "Torch" passing to be memorable...He'll use Jericho to do his dirty work.

Jericho and RVD MADE The Last E.C somewhat decent and HHH and Vince will be statisfied if Jericho carries the match because in this case...HHH can't and unless Shawn is "On" and goes Bump Happy in a gimmick that doesn't offer alot of bump potential...

If they go with Goldberg winning the title...Jericho will be the last man pinned...

If Orton wins...HBK will be the last man pinned in which I could easily see Jericho factoring in that outcome "Paying back orton"...

So don't just assume Jericho to be jobbing first because you believe HHH will use his "IWC overblown hate" for Jericho to avoid having a decent match to attach to his title lost...

HHH used Jericho once before and he will use him again...

Heh. Yeah, so did Wrestlemania, you know. Remember when he kept telling the black guy that "people like you" couldn't beat people like HHH. Yeah, well, the white guy one.

I diasgree, RVD & Kane got their own thing going so like another poster said it would be a waste to have them in there. I guess an argument for Booker can be made, but he hasn't wrestled anybody besides Christian or Test in the last three months. I still think another factor to this was that you just throw three matches into one to save some time and get other Raw matches on the show.

Name those workers... just for craps and giggles.

Booker

RVD

a midcarder who can work and is over (Of which Orton fills niether criteria) in Hurricane

and if you NEED a third heel, Ric Flair. Credibility that Orton doesn't have (Now you have a match with six world champions), heat that Orton doesn't have and ring work he doesn't have.

Hell you could argue for Steiner to be in the damn match with the FORMER world champions logic...

I still think Orton should switch spots with Flair...

and have Orton win the I.C title and let him throw it in HHH's face that HE is the only champion on the team afterwords...

The only belt Orton should be allowed anywhere near is one to hold up his pants.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Chris Jericho wins the belt. I see him going over Michaels at the end of the match (Michaels goes over Orton, Orton goes over Triple H etc.). It ends the Jericho/HBK feud with Jericho winning a World Title over him, and Orton/HBK can then begin. I highly doubt that Orton is winning the title. I see Triple H going over Goldberg in the match to set up the big 1-1 encounter.

Would you perfer they make him the focus of the show (in theory) by putting him with the World Title?

No...

Put him as the Mid-Card champion it worked for Rock...

I guarantee Chris Jericho is NOT going to be eliminated first.

And there is no way in hell they're going to give Randy Orton the (crappy) WORLD title in his first fucking PPV match!

I smell a Jericho victory and short title run

evidence:

1. A great match with RVD which set him up as a competitor yet still an underdog.

2. A probably victory over Kevin Nash on Raw.

3. The best worker on the roster and probbaly the most over.

4. HHH is injured

5. Goldberg gets horrible reactions (RE. Last weeks Raw he was practicaly boo'ed out of the building)

6. RO is not over and still working the lower/mid card. Only in there as HHH's buddy

7. kevin Nash can't work or draw. They didn't put the title on him in 1 vs 1 matches with HHH why now?

8. Shawn doesn't work many house shows, doesn't draw as champ and will feud with RO in a non title way.

therefore Jericho will win. There's no reason for him not to win and I thought by the last couple of raws that it was evindent that they were building him up.

BTW. I love the idea of an elimination chamber match between these guys. It just suits everything perfectly.

Jericho is feuding with Michaels and Nash and has a history with HHH and Goldberg.

HHH feuding with Goldie and has history with Shawn, Nash and is buddies with RO.

Nash is slow and boring so this will hide his weaknesses while showing his strengths (hair....oh hang on....no).

Goldberg is in a match where the crowd will forget how much he sucks as he spears Jericho into the wall of the chamber.

RO....... doesn't diserve to be here and will be the 1st guy out.

Shawn has history with all guys except Goldberg and is the ONLY winner of an EC match.
