Guest Choken One Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Why would they even bother reairing American Idol at 11? At least 70% of the audience for it in the Cincy area are in bed. No Clue. But since it's the #1 show, I figure Fox19 wants to give it SOME close enough slot..
syxx2001 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Trust, tonights episode is a good one. Its more entertaining than dramatic.
Guest myburninghammer Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 holy smokes, the show got good again.
Dr. Zoidberg Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Was it just me or did Marissa look even hotter than Summer in this episode?
Guest El Satanico Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 No...I wasn't digging Marissa's hair
Dr. Zoidberg Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Oddly enough, that was what I liked most... Hm...Ah well.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 I just hate bangs, so her hair bothered me more than usual tonight. She did have bangs right.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Oh how I'd love to be Seth's eyes...
syxx2001 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 How I'd love to be Seth And Marissa looked a little better, she reminded me of Beyonce when she has her hair straight and long. I loved it when Ryan kept ignoring her, dumb broad gets what she deserves.
Guest Ghettoman Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Best thing about tonights episode was that it brought us back to the realization that Ryan still has his own problems that he's gonna have to deal with, and that the only issues we'll see won't be outside forces. You couldn't help but feel bad for both of them, Ryan feels abandoned again with what happened with Oliver, Marissa wants to act like it never happened, something he can't do. The only thing I don't get is if he cares about here, he has to do something, he has to let her know what she's doing wrong. It's almost like at this point he doesn't care about her anymore, and I don't think thats good. And the Seth/Summer thing was great, you never see a show handle that issue that realistically, it was great.
Zack Malibu Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Watched the tape as soon as I got in last night, and this had to be my favorite of the recent episodes. The Seth/Sandy talk was hilarious, the Seth/Summer situation was done very well and believably, and like I've said before, I enjoy that Ryan and Marissa endure so much and live with it, rather than the writers having them get back together right away after every crisis. The attention to detail in this show is awesome, one of the major reasons why it's so good.
syxx2001 Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 He kinda did let her know what she did was wrong. When she said "You have to trust me" then he snapped back and said "Like you trusted me?"
OldSchoolWrestling Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Just finally got to watch the tape last night. Great episode. Hailey being back was great, Luke/Julie is hilarious since he calls her Mrs. Cooper then kisses her, Summer taking her clothes off was awesome, Teresa returning also was a good thing.
Zack Malibu Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 I dug the Teresa return as well. This is what I meant with the attention to detail. They'll take the slightest thing from an episode and bring it up again somehow down the line. Luke/Teresa and Jimmy/Hailey in this ep were the perfect examples of that.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Teresa seems like she is perfect for Ryan. I wonder why they never got together.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 As much as I love this show, does anybody else think they are moving too fast. Why can't Seth make up his mind ? First of all, why can't they give Seth/Summer time to develop... tonight's ending was friggin excellent. BTW... Marrisa > Teresa, PERIOD.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 :cough, cough: I've been saying they move storylines along too quickly ever since Ryan and Marissa's first kiss. Hopefully that was just done to find it's fan base in it's first season and next season they will slow the hell down.
syxx2001 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Mad when the drag it, mad when they rush it.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Where do I know that Eddie guy from? Next week's episode looks good with the Anna storyline. I haven't been the biggest fan of Anna but think she could do well somewhere down the line. Caleb talking about his "booty call" was the line of the night. Ryan just can't catch a break going from feuding with Luke to Oliver to Eddie. Aye dios mio.
Max Danger Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Eddie is Eric Balfour and he was on the first two episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Xander and Willow's friend, Jesse. He also played Milo on the first season of 24. Those would probably be the two places you've seen him. If not, well, I'm not sure.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Don't forget the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I don't think he's old enough to have been in TCM.
Jebus Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I don't think he's old enough to have been in TCM. This year's remake, Satanico
Guest El Satanico Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Oh...well he didn't say TCM '04 or TCM remake...so there is where my confusion entered the picture.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Eddie is Eric Balfour and he was on the first two episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Xander and Willow's friend, Jesse. Zack Malibu Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Loved the episode, as always. The Seth/Summer kissing booth scene reminded me of an 80's movie (that's a good thing), the Caleb/Sandy situation seems like a nice new storyline, and I'm happy with the Ryan/Theresa storyline. She's like the last piece of his "old life" that he's got left, and he wants to hold onto it. Judging by the previews, next week should be awesome, although I'm gonna hate it if Summer and Seth break up over Anna's leaving.
monkey Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 The whole situation with Theresea I think is being played well. Here you have a girl/woman (she is meant to be only 17) who has left school to help support her family. There is a guy who loves her (Eddie) who she doesnt love but as she says, can she do any beter? Very sad and keeps me interested. I am still in love with Summer though.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I am still in love with Summer though. Back off... that goes for OldSchoolWrestling too. I've got dibs.
The Robfather Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Welcome to the OC, bitch! (Just needed to be said) How the hell did I get hooked on this show? I remember seeing the promos when it first started about a kid getting a second chance, but I hated that he was getting in a fight in the first episode. I just thought it was 'one of those shows.' I don't know what, but it just seemed off. Oh yeah, it began when I saw a promo with Seth and his romantic dealings, watched it, loved it. Then, I preceded to download all the old episodes off the internet. I love this show so fucking much. Its insane. Its amazing how much of a bitch Summer was in the first episode, all the way to now. Her character has really changed. Well, she's still a bitch, but she isn't a cardboard cutout bitch like she was in the beginning. I'm glad Seth grew a backbone in regards to the public vs. private acknowledgement issue. Is it just me or is Mischa Barton a horrible actress? She cant pull off all these melodramatic situations TPTB put her in. Frankly, I wish Oliver had killed Marissa.
OldSchoolWrestling Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I am still in love with Summer though. Back off... that goes for OldSchoolWrestling too. I've got dibs. You just watch. It will come out that in real life she likes older (much older) men. I'll be her Caleb. She'll want me. Oh yeah.....
