An educated guess at Shane's SummerSlam role

Recommended Posts

Guest RollingSambos

Since RVD vs. Kane is now official, I definitely see Shane-O-Mac interfering in that match on RVD's behalf. As we all know, Shane never takes part in a pay-per-view match without pulling off some crazy stunt. It's his trademark. With that being said, I think that the finish to RVD vs. Kane is going to be...

...double Van Terminator from Shane and RVD.

Anybody else see this happening?

 hm... Hadn't thought on that. Sounds plausable.

But like so we get a double Van Damninator before Kane goes apeshit and destroys them both, right?

Edit: Nevermind that last bit.

That would be cool, but it seems like it would be very difficult not to botch.... Maybe Kane will chokeslam him off of the tron, which will give RVD just enough time to push Kane off and give him a 5,6,7,8 star frog splash from 30 feet high.

unless they go the full route with kane and let him kill someone, that's the best they could do.

even if it wouldn't lead to anything.

Shane will definitely have a big bump or something... I think a double Van Terminator is likely, but I think it's pretty well known that Kane has to win to keep his unstoppable monster image.

If Kane jobbed to the double Van Terminator I don't see how anyone could say that destroys his image. No one would get up from that. And I think I might have suggested this very thing on another thread.

This is a tricky match to book. Kane and RVD both don't need a loss right now. I figure whoever wins here is getting a title shot at the E. Chamber winner down the road. If GB wins the Chamber then Kane probably wins here to set up a big match with two behemoths. If someone like Jericho (or any heel) then RVD is plausible to go for the title.

At some point in the near future though I think Kane vs. RVD has to be for the title. It is the closest thing they have to a notable feud.

I agree for the most part, but Kane really can't afford a loss in his first match without the mask, IMO. Like you said, if Goldberg wins the belt, then Kane should definitely be in line for a title shot at Unforgiven. Whether Kane actually wins the belt or not depends on how he's built up by then.

This made me think about how much they've jerked around Kane.

He's the guy who always gets a weird tag partner that he has to fued with or hes the jobber to the stars. Whether or not he is good... he really deserves the title soon. Dare I call him the Benoit of Raw?

Minus the workrate.

Although I do agree. As many have said, he should've gotten the belt back at No Mercy. If Kane doesn't get the belt within the year (which is still a little long), I believe the Kane gimmick will be dead.

He is pretty good for a big guy and has given a lot, to have been a main eventer for the better part of 6 years now and held the title for the grand total of 1 night.

Would be nice to see Jericho walk out with the title and then feud with RVD over the title for awhile, but since Vince is in charge, it aint happening.

Kane is an enigma, cause in one sense he is an unstoppable monster psycho, but then that should translate into him not even caring about winning matches. I mean why would the present Kane character even care to go for the pinfall, he should be too fucked up in the head to even care. So in that sense I could see RVD getting the win because it only takes 3 seconds to pin someone, and a Van Terminator could keep Kane down for 3 seconds.

Another reason why Shane vs. Kane would be better is because Shane can actually afford to job a big time match. It's going to hurt RVD to lose this one, but not as much as it would Kane, IMO. But I think either way I'm actually looking forward to the match, even if it doesn't get any buildup.

This is kind of why once Kane and RVD broke up I wanted them to be done with each other before Kane turned psycho. Cause it would lead to this situation. Oh well. Whatever.

I think it would hurt RVD even more not to be on the SummerSlam card. He's missed enough PPVs and jobbed to enough DDT's and elbow drops so that his overness can only rise.

I think at Sumerslam the Ministery Undertaker might have something to do with the Kane match. I don't know what but Undertaker might turn into the Ministery Undertaker again and he might do some

Somehow I don't see that happening. Eventually though I wouldn't be surprised seeing another Kane/Taker feud if one were to jump to the other brand. In fact, I would welcome another feud between them since they're both much different characters from their original feuds.

I like the point you make here. What if:

Shane comes down and distracts/holds Kane back enough for the Van Terminator to be hit. RVD makes the quick pin. RVD and Shane do their cocky little celebrations as go with their characters. BAM! Seconds later Monster Kane is up, surprisingly not very phased and beats the holy hell out of both men. Maybe pull an injury angle on one of them.

The only flaw with that is it wouldn't create a blowoff to the feud....

I see Shane running in before the match even starts, Kane comes out first, Shane charges the ring, gets the fuck beat out of him, super mega death bump is taken and the crowd thinks "Oh shit, Kane is going out of his way to hurt people, RVD is fucked" RVD enters, heated match with the crowd fearing/anticipating RVD receiving Shane treatment. Makes sense. Either that or Shane just beats the fuck out of him in the parking lot before the show. I could see that too.

Yeah I don't see Kane getting to DESTROY Shane since he hasn't been able to yet. He's been able to beat him up but after looking like a total wuss with Shane pounding on him.

Besides that Tombstone should put Shane out.

Can we hope that for once, a McMahon is perfectly fine with getting squashed on PPV? Whatever it is, let's hope this is the first "blow-off" match for the RVD-Kane feud, with them feuding over the World Title somewhere down the road.

Please oh please don't fugg this up.

...

Yeah right, who am I kidding?

How about this scenario. They run Kane/RVD right before the elimination chamber. Somehow, RVD gets the win, let's say with a Van Terminator. So RVD celebrates(with or without Shane) and exits. Kane starts to shake off the Van Terminator as the elimination chamber drops. Of Course Kane is incensed by what happened and as he is recovering and getting ready to leave the ring, the first participant comes down to the ring to get in their chamber. Then Kane proceeds to lay a beating on whoever that is, which puts the spotlight back on Kane for being a monster. Now this would cause said wrestler to get eliminated first, and then would set up a feud with Kane. Does that sound any good? I guess the hardest sell would be having Kane wait around long enough for the Chamber, the in-between every match ad/promo and for the first person to come down to the ring, without making it look to forced. Maybe instead of recovering from the VT, he could just be ringside destroying various things or something......I think this idea has potential and allows RVD to win, without hurting Kane too much.....help me out here.

I like this, but as long as RVD gets help to finally 'slain the monster'. It will make Kane look better if it takes RVD and Shane to beat him.

Only if Kane goes DIESEL on everyone and just kicks ass...

Hell...there is a swerve to behold...Put the title on the guy whom wasn't even in the match and just jobbed 20 minutes ago in another match...

Oh...I've seen this before...

WEEELLLLLLLLLLLLL IT'S THE BIG KANE!

Well you could take it a step further and just have Kane chokeslam each participant one at a time as they enter, however the disbelief might be stretched, because I mean if I was walking down to the ring, saw Kane and 3 chokeslammed wrestlers, I'd probably turn around and head back to the lockerroom. I dunno.

I don't mind RVD getting help, but it has to be done in a way that makes sure RVD is still the one the attention is focused on. Like maybe Shane is involved in the match, but not DIRECTLY with the actual pinfall. The last thing I need is for RVD's hand to be raised in victory only to have Shane McMahon next to him dancing around, hogging the camera. It will take the spotlight off of RVD.

Have Kane roll under the ring...and when they all enter...

VOILA!

Since the wrestlers can't get out of the Chambers...they can't stop kane...

So Kane Chokeslams the first two guys (HBK and Jericho)...and then plays tic tat toe with the others...

He shatters Nash's Chamber and holds a Mirror up to nash and naturally Nash collaspses...

He moves on to Orton and he tells Orton to take a shot at him...Orton goes for a Dicus punch and shatters his Ankle (don't ask) and there's another...

HHH is next and Kane points out a seated Chyna in the crowd...HHH's groin explodes.

and that leaves GOOOLDBEEERG.

Kane steps out of the cage and drives a Limo to the aisle...It does the trick...VOILA!

NEW WORLD CHAMPION!
