Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted August 16, 2003 I am a wrestling fan. I like watching two (or more) people go out and pretend to fight with each other. I can't explain why I like it, or what attracted me to it in the first place. All I know is that I have seen some excellent television over the last ten years, including some nail biting matches, extreme violence and awesome moments. All that is coming to a close though. For years, I would religiously avoid Raw and SmackDown! spoilers (these are shown on a Friday and Saturday respectively in England) and sit down and watch them "fresh". Now I have stopped bothering. I check out Scott Keith's rant, as well as whoever is recapping it for TheSmartMarks on a given week, as well as TheSmartMarks.com's message board. This gives me a pretty good overall feeling for the show, and then I sometimes tape it. Sometimes I watch bits of the show, sometimes I don't bother at all. Rarely do I sit down for two hours and watch it all the way through. Continued... Feedback etc? Oh, and RavishingRickRudo - you were correct, I fucked up last time by claiming wrestling had always had "respectable" ratings. You were indeed correct. SpikeFayeJettEdBebop 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2003 I thought it was pretty good, but it sucks that you guys get free PPVs.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2003 This is a pretty common article found throughout the internet - "I like wrestling, not sports entertainment" "The guys I like aren't getting pushed, though they deserve it" "Vince McMahon is a moron", etc. It's good that you've gotten it out of your system, but next time try for something new. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2003 And I don't know what you're talking about with the ratings, but if I'm right about it - who am I to argue ?
