Guest RetroRob215 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Why if it isn't the thread that never dies?
Guest Nater Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 If Jeff just got on the mic *cringes* for half a sec and said: "Oops, looks like I put on the wrong clothes, Lita. Guess it was kinda dark." .. then this thread.. would not.. exist.
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Since this trail is now more about what wrestlers wear, am I the only one who finds SCSA wearing jeans-shorts not very intimidating? He stomps around, wearing his little jeans-shorts and sometimes that fanny pack ... is he the toughest SOB or my father walking around the state fair???
Guest Some Guy Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I think he wears the shorts because of his knee braces, he used to wear long jeans before. And no the short shorts and "fag bag" don't look tough IMO.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 He stomps around, wearing his little jeans-shorts and sometimes that fanny pack ... is he the toughest SOB or my father walking around the state fair??? Quote of the day!
Guest chirs3 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Ah, I might as well. First off, some of you people (and I will not name names) are a little too sensitive about this subject... Ok, now then. Jeff Hardy wears a thong-resembling thing on his face a few times, and just sported pigtails on Raw... Does that mean he's really gay? It's not enough info to tell. But it IS enough info to allow people to joke in saying there is something seriously wrong with him. I doubt there are many people, even those in the "Jeff iz g@y!!1!!1!" camp who REALLY think he's gay. It's fun to poke at him because... well, look at him! He looks funny! To those people who said "Me and my friends do stuff like that too! Does that mean we're gay?" Well, you also said "Not that extreme", so it doesn't really apply to you, now does it? And even so, no, it doesn't mean you're gay, but it does open you up to easy ridicule. Not because you're different. Nobody laughs at people because they're different. Nobody will say "Look at that guy, he looks different. Guffaw guffaw!" They laugh because they think a guy wearing pigtails is funny. I'm all for people expressing themselves, but if someone laughs at you because they think the thong-esque mask on your face is a hoot and a half, don't be so quick to take offense. They're probably not laughing because you're wearing a thong-thing on your face, but because THEY THINK it looks funny.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 We also like making fun of him because he sucks. Same with Test.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 The Test stuff wouldn't be nearly as bad if it wasn't for me.
Guest Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Personally, I think Austin looks like Forrest Gump with those knee braces on. "Run Austin, Run!" Come on. I *CAN'T* the only one who sees this...
Guest nWoScorpion Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Difference between MAtt & Jeff. Matt wears normal ring attire from the past 3 years, has regular hair color and had lita (in storylines). Jeff, pink, red, yellow, orange, purple, blue white hair, fishnet shirts. Silly pants and thong wearin on head and no chick. Yes, Trish kissed him, but he just WALKS away.
Guest Human Fly Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 He also kissed Stacy one time and said in an interview that he has a girlfriend. All a front?
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 Not to breathe life into a "is Jeff Hardy gay? message, but do people really think he's gay? Does anyone hear truly believe that he's a homosexual, or is "gay" being used in a way to express that Jeff Hardy is different. While he definitely does dress rather eccentric, I have a hard time believing that he's so flaming (for lack of a better word) that he cannot suppress the urge to dress effeminitely ... in the ring ... with the full consent of the WWF, who would have a say in his being so out.
Guest buffybeast Posted April 3, 2002 Report Posted April 3, 2002 I've heard stories about his adventures on the indies here in NC and if those are true, he is not gay. I have heard that he likes to dress up in womens clothing, stand in front of a full length mirror and pleasure himself. But I don't know that to be fact.
Guest Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 So the fact that someone dresses in a "feminine" way labels them gay? Funny, I always thought being in a sexual relationship with a person of the same sex made you gay.
Guest Loss4Words Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Name one gay person (sans drag queens) that you've EVER seen in pigtails. We're actually beacons of personal style for the most part so if anything, Jeff Hardy is the antithesis of a homosexual. And I'm not trying to start one of these threads again, but your typical gay guy looks like Michael Cole, NOT Jeff Hardy. Why do I have this feeling that some of you have never even met a gay guy?
Guest dreamer420 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 I hope people got on HBK's case when he wore pigtails a few years back...ohh wait, his name isn't Jeff Hardy so the gaybashing was probably kept to a minimum.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 I hope people got on HBK's case when he wore pigtails a few years back The HBK gay bashing was far far worse than the current jokes about Jeff Hardy. Everyone was on his case, and a great deal of it was malicious.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 They did it especially from the summer of 1996 on. Even the marks were yelling at him during shows. Survivor Series 1996 is a good example.
Guest Human Fly Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 "I hope people got on HBK's case when he wore pigtails a few years back...ohh wait, his name isn't Jeff Hardy so the gaybashing was probably kept to a minimum." I haven't heard any "Jeff is gay chants" yet.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 Don't forget the HBK is Gay signs. There were A LOT of those too.
Guest Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 My personal opinion is that Michaels' GIMMICK was that of a gay man. 1. He was in Playgirl. (a predominantly gay men's mag) and 2. He (allegedly) encouraged Bret Hart to use gay innuendo when he refered to him in his promos.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 4, 2002 Report Posted April 4, 2002 I remember alot of "HBGAY!" back then.
