Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted August 24, 2003 You know the one when Wolverine kills that soldier in the kitchen. Can someone tell me what's new?, i remember seeing the scene exactly like that at the theater I had the same thing happen to me when I went to see "Unbreakable" in the theater. On the DVD, there's a "deleted" scene where a young Elijah goes on a ride in an amusement park and it swings him about so wildly it breaks his fragile bones and his mother is screaming for the operator to stop the ride. Harrowing stuff and it's cut out of the movie on the DVD. But it was included when I saw it in the theater. I wonder if my theater just got an early cut or I wonder why they decided to take the scene out of the movie for the DVD and make it a "deleted" scene. But I'm POSITIVE I had seen it before in theater. It's not something you'd forget. When I saw it on my DVD I immediately thought, "I've seen this before. In the theater." I didn't even notice it wasn't in the movie anymore until I saw the deleted scene, though. Weird. Oh, and Yuna we don't care about your X-Men 2 updates. What do you know about BESERKER RAGE? Search for keywords "park" and "fair". I guess I'm alone on this. Edited August 24, 2003 by bravesfan

'My X-Men 2 updates'? Um, no, I don't believe they're just mine. I believe there are a lot of people who watch X2 and would like to watch the deleted scenes. Beserker Rage? I just woke up, so I'm not too sure, but isn't it where Wolverine goes completely crazy in a fit of rage? That's as close to a guess as I can come up with. And for anyone who cares, I have read a few of the comics, as well as 'The Ultimate X-Men Guide' or whatever the name is. If you don't care, then stop reading I was at a different library from the one we usually go to and was most glad to realize they carried lots of X-Comics. 'Course, mom doesn't believe in staying for more than five minutes, so I basically grabbed whatever I could. I ended up reading two parts of a three-part series...I believe it was called 'Hope'. Unfortunately for me, I only had one and three.
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted August 25, 2003 And then the ride speeds up. The gray circular seats start to spin on their own. The teenagers CHEER. Elijah's eyes fill with joy as the wind plays against his face. Suddenly the ride changes directions. The cup-like seats get jerked. Everyone grabs the metal bars to hold on. Elijah laughs as he smashes into the stuffed animal on his right. It cushions him and then falls to the floor of the compartment along with the other stuffed animal. Elijah's expression becomes tense as his compartment spins. His hands slide over the rusted metal bar as the sweater unravels. Elijah looks around... a sudden panic enters his eyes. THE BLURRING IMAGE OF HIS MOTHER NOW IN A GROUP OF RED AND WHITE STRIPED MEN. THE SOUND OF MACHINERY GRINDING IS HEARD as the ride changes directions suddenly. Elijah's hands rip away from the bar as he gets thrown to the side of the compartment. His shoulder and arm takes the brunt of the impact. WE HEAR SOMETHING CRACK. TEENAGERS SCREAM IN EXCITEMENT. ELIJAH JOINS THEM WITH SCREAMS OF HIS OWN. The ride spins its passengers. Elijah's small face looks up at the swirling clouds in a mixture of agony and terror. The ride changes directions. Elijah is thrust forward. He hits the rusted metal bar square against his chest. WE HEAR MORE CRACKS. The world spins. Giggles and yells fill the air. Elijah slumps down onto the floor of the compartment. And then finally, the grind of the machinery slows and then comes to a gradual stop. THE TEENAGERS MOAN. Elijah is facing directly up at the sky. The clouds now move slowly over him. WE HEAR COMMOTION. AGITATED VOICES. HIS MOTHER'S DESPERATE VOICE. MOTHER(o.s.) His bones... He's not well... HER VOICE GETS LOUDER AS SHE MOVES CLOSER TO THE PLATFORM. MOTHER(o.s.) Elijah baby... Then her face appears as she finds the cup-like seat Elijah is in. She begins to scream. Elijah lays on the bottom of the compartment. One arm is clutching his chest. The other is curved horrifically like an "s". His mouth is open. His eyes are bulging. The last thing we HERE ARE THE SHORT DESPERATE BREATHS of an eight year old child about to black out from the pain. FADE TO BLACK: Again, this was DEFINITELY shown in the theater when I went to see it. When I saw the scene on my DVD, it was still fresh in my mind and already knew what was going to happen. Why on Earth did my theater have this scene included and/or why does everyone else have this scene removed? As for you, YUNA: If everyone cared about X2 as much as you, they would be posting these oh-so-crucial updates themselves. But as you can see the movie du jour for the idiots of TSM is Jason Vs. Freddy and hasn't been X2 since early this summer. Get on the bandwagon with the rest of cretins, honey. You're way behind. I'm sure you're allowed out of the house more than once every three months regardless of how hideous you probably are. And I'm sure reading two comics makes you an EXPERT on Wolverine and his "beserker rage." Go back to sleep. Permanently.

No. I didn't even say that my answer was right...I just said it was a GUESS. And you'll forgive me for having personal tastes and not liking a movie simply because all the other posters do. Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Just wanted to say, "joygasm" is a great word! My buddy, cheriberry, came up with it when she told me about the deleted scenes. Actually, you can credit Jim Carrey in Batman Forever. He said it first. Speeking of deleted scenes we saw in theaters, I remember seeing a huge car crash scene on the highway in Independence Day in theaters, but it was put with deleted scenes on the DVD and was cut out of the vhs version. Anybody else remember this?
