razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Yeah I got the Saint name wrong but, the good news is that it will be on Cartoon Network in a week or so for the new weekend late night line up. Pegasus rules all!
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 I just finished watching the show that is on Cartoon Network at 6 central and have a few questions. In the dubbing they always refered to the Pegasus armor as the golden cloth, why? Why could'nt they just call it armor? And what year was the orginal run, it looks to be mid 80s to me. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2003 I've followed the Saint Seiya series for quite a few years now but always in spanish dub (called "Caballeros del Zodiaco") or japanese with subtitles. It's one of my favorite anime series ever with terrific fights and great stories of friendship and honor. I think it's great that Cartoon Network is playing the show. I still haven't seen the english dub version but I'm looking forward to it. As far as Seiya's Pegasus armor being called "golden cloth" is a mistery to me. Seiya's armor (along with the other three main warriors) are "Bronze Armor", meaning they're below Silver and Gold (which is the highest honor). Seiya does get to use Golden Armor in the series (the Sagitarius one, If I'm not mistaken) but it happens later on.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2003 The voice actors are average but what I dislike it that they refer the armor as cloth. I think the 1st episode was on saturday with Seiya winning the bronze pegasus in the tourny and defeated the cobra fighting style green hair girl later in the show. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 Is it one episode a week? It's got a long way to go then, and I don't want to spoil anything but be ready for some great fights. Hopefully CN won't butcher (edit) the fight scenes, since some are extremely bloody and violent. BTW, I downloaded the first 13 episodes of the new Saint Seiya Hades saga and they're kickass, too! razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 Well the way Cartoon Network releases the shows I bet it will be like 20 episodes then repeat and rinse about 5 times before I get bored with it. I remember watching this years ago and only remember a few bits and pieces of the show. Like the Dove/Snowbird(?), Scorpion, Snake characters.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 Is this on DVD yet or will it be soon?
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 I've never seen any DVD releases for Saint Seiya other than the new Hades saga which collects 3-4 episodes on each disc but they're not Region 1 anyway. The warriors are: Pegasus (Seiya) Swan Andromeda Dragon Phoenix (Andromeda's brother, who appears later in the series) Anybody seen the OVAs? The one vs. Lucifer is my favorite, and the most realistic depiction of the devil I've EVER seen.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 Ok, the show just started right now in Canada, and without seeing any of the shows actual content, any anime that is dubbed to have "I Ran" as the theme song is clearly awesome.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2003 "I Ran" is the theme song?? What happened to "Pegasus Fantasy"?
