Guest SUPERHBK Report post Posted August 25, 2003 I have been an avid HHHater now ever since his return from his injury. I have laughed at the insults thrown in his way. I have turned the channel when his matches come on. But I have and never will cheer for him to lose against Bill Goldberg. As the match progressed at summerslam and I began to see that none of my top choices were going to win it (i.e. Shawn or Jericho), I began to cheer for HHH for perhaps the first time since his Royal Rumble win nearly two years ago. The reason is simple: Bill Goldberg is a joke. This man is about as horrible for business as I can imagine possible. He lacks respect for the sport, lacks any kind of ability in the ring, lacks the ability to be safe in the ring, and above all....has done absolutely nothing to warrant his success! He was a man in the right spot at the right time years ago. They could have pushed Doink the Clown like that and he would have been as over as well. The descion to keep the belt on HHH is a SMART one for numerous reasons: 1. If it is true that they are going to be trying to raise house show attendence, not having your champ on the card isn't going to help you in that area. 2. You all, every single one of you have complained and complained about titles being hot shotted around. Now you have it gaining some credibility. It's an ok thing. (Don't get me started on your..."He should have dropped it to Booker". I do agree with you there) 3. If anything, this match will lead to a Goldberg-HHH singles program. I'm not looking forward to it, but hey...it might pop a buyrate. It's better then giving it away free in a huge mess of a match. Anyways...whether this was a waste of your time or not...answer me this, or maybe we'll see in a couple months your responses, but "Would you really be happy with Goldberg as your champ?" Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted August 25, 2003 I agree entirely on what you said. I don't really have anything to add except Jericho should have won damn it! At least HBK jobbed clean. LOL

I doubt in his current condition Crips is going to be working too many house shows. 2. Losing a belt after 9 months is not hotshotting it. And a belt also needs to be lost and won to have some credibility. Right now it is still the HHH plaque. A belt needs a hot feud and a hot champion to be credible. 3. HHH beating Goldberg should not lead to a singles program. HHH started the feud by beating Goldberg in the main event at the second biggest PPV of the year. From here on out who cares what happens. Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Now you have it gaining some credibility. was that before or after Katie Vick?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 HHH wrestles house shows? The guy is injured half the time.
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Who cares if he works house shows. As long as the stable is running strong then I am happy. This could open up some great fueds.
Guest SUPERHBK Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Would you guys prefer that Goldberg be your champ? Would Goldberg plowing through the roster in 3 minute matches be any more exciting then HHH? At least HHH has an idea of how to put a match together. At least HHH has enough respect for something ( the sport or his ego) that he IS able to work through some injuries. At least with HHH, there is a hope for something. Regardless of what you say...HHH, when the moons align, can still deliver some entertaining stuff every now and then. Goldberg lost his streak, and now has nothing.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted August 25, 2003 I DEFINITELY Don't want Goldie as champ. And when he does have to win it I hope Kane kills him in a minute.
Guest ArchoanJB Report post Posted August 25, 2003 like what pray tell? who hasn't HHH beaten heel clean? what GREAT feuds are on the horizion for this stable?
Guest Coffey Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Who cares if he works house shows? Well, I'm sure that the paying customers would appreciate title matches at the house show events that they buy tickets to.
Guest ArchoanJB Report post Posted August 25, 2003 HHH working through a injuring here? He got laid out for 8 minutes with a simple superkick! then 2 min. of work and walah he won. Goldberg finally looked like a start tonight, he'll never have a chance to look that impressive again.

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 "Would Goldberg plowing through the roster in 3 minute matches be any more exciting then HHH?" Is that really any different than HHH plowing through the roster in 12-15 minute matches. The only difference I see is that Goldberg ends the pain quicker and only gives *1/2 performances as opposed to ** performances. I don't want either to be the champion but Goldberg was the last person who could believably beat HHH. Any match from here on out HHH either wins or whoever beats him will be seen as a placeholder til HHH comes back for the belt. And I am eagerly awaiting any upcoming Randy Orton or Ric Flair (please retire) feuds.
Guest ArchoanJB Report post Posted August 25, 2003 and when was the last time HHH was at a house show lately?
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 To hell with house shows. When was the last time HHH was a regular in-ring performer on Raw?
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Didn't HHH wrestle house shows in the last 2 weeks?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 25, 2003 I liked the finish because I got a sick satisfying feeling watching HHH...the REAL hhh shove that title in goldberg's face and telling him he will NEVER have this title...In a sense...It's what Goldberg deserves for all the shit he done... He treats wrestling like a joke...fuck him.
Guest ArchoanJB Report post Posted August 25, 2003 You know that crowd that got Brock over last year at Summerslam after months of not being over?? Well this was that type of crowd..yet BIGGER
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted August 25, 2003 I hate to say this but I am starting to tolerate Trips again like I did before his Quad injury. Maybe it's the hair poisoning me. LOL Good Call Choken One, that is hilarious in a werid, shoot-like sort of way. He probably whispered to him he was being honest too.
Guest ArchoanJB Report post Posted August 25, 2003 No he hasn't wrestled in the past 2 weeks, the last time he wrestled I believe...was against GOLDBERG in San Jose...not positive though
Guest SUPERHBK Report post Posted August 25, 2003 I can't believe this at all. I knew everyone hated HHH, but I thought that he was at least about Goldberg level. Well, then...I hope you have fun with your AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC Goldberg in a month. It's sad when nobody on this board is able to admit that HHH is good for something. His stable IS something to watch. They are much more entertaining then oh I don't know...CARBON COPY Bill Goldberg Match #456. I'll just have to step back though, I understand that anything remotely good by HHH has to be spit on before it's turned into a positive. I'll reitterate, I'M NOT SAYING HHH AS CHAMP IS GOOD! I'M SAYING THAT HHH AS CHAMP IS BETTER THEN GOLDBERG!

teke184 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 To hell with house shows. When was the last time HHH was a regular in-ring performer on Raw? Trips is in 1998 Hogan mode now, MAYBE defending the belt on every PPV. The last match I remember him having on TV was against Booker in April or so and he doesn't do house shows, so how is Goldberg any different? At least Goldberg MIGHT show up at a house show every once in a while as he has a few contracted appearances each month besides 4 RAWs and a possible PPV. Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 25, 2003 The difference is? HHH is injured...Goldberg shows up when he feels like it...
JN News 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Jericho should've won the title, tonight. But, who are we to actually believe that HHH will ever give back to Jericho? As for Goldturd, let's not forget that he ended Bret Hart's career, and showed no remorse afterwards. So, I agree. Fuck Goldberg.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted August 25, 2003 HHH being injured is a legit excuse, but that also means he shouldn't have the strap on. Goldberg sucks, and throws hissy fits when he can't squash people. (Mentioning the several RAW scripts he had re-written to suit his own ego)
teke184 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 The difference is? HHH is injured...Goldberg shows up when he feels like it... And Goldberg's drawing power as champion is unknown while Trips' is crap right now. I'd take a chance on an unsure commodity over the certainty that the champion is hurting your product. Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Just to switch sides... Anyone think Nash actually looked pretty motivated in his 3 minutes out there? I was BANKING goldberg would be opened when Jericho was taunting him on the ropes...I wanted the door to open and Jericho to do a bug eye and for goldberg to chase Jericho around the Cage... Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2003 Question: If Jericho won the belt, just who the hell would he feud with? Nash? HBK again?
