You have got to be kidding me!

Here's the deal. The WWE doesn't know who the fans will like as champion, so they have to test them first.

Steiner gets a loss by DQ after looking incredibly strong and gets booed unmercifully; he loses the feud.

Nash gets a loss by DQ after looking incredibly strong and gets booed unmercifully; he loses the feud.

Goldberg gets a loss by complete screwjob after lokking incredibly strong and gets raucous cheers throughout the night, I'm guessing he'll walk out of Unforgiven with the title.

Oh, they already knew they didn't want Booker T to be the champion because he's so incredibly black.

I fixed it for you.

Listen, I'm not the biggest Goldberg mark myself - and prior to his coming into the WWF in March I downright loathed him - but he hasn't been nearly as bad as he's made out to be in this thread (at least not compared to Triple H).

All the crap he did in WCW (YEARS AGO, I might add) you could attribute to ego, sure, but the same could be said of almost anyone at some point or another. Let's see ... who else was in this match? HBK, Nash, and Triple H ... weren't they part of something called the Kliq, a little group often held responsible for holding many talented wrestlers down in the mid 90s? What about Nash's involvement in WCW where he booked himself to be world champion while at the same time burying Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko simply by referring to them as the Vanilla Midgets? So let's not make Goldberg the exclusive subject of unwavering hate.

At this point in the game, I just want change - I don't freaking care who takes the title but it needs to happen soon. Triple H has held it 9 months - now he either needs to share or take his ball and go home because I'm sick of it. The only thing his title run has accomplished is a list of buried contenders with no credibility. He's being booked to look like God himself.

WWE missed the boat with Goldberg, because he is over. Thats the simplest way to put it guys. Sad but true.

I just worry it's gonna be one of those situations where everyone says "HHH will drop the title in the rematch" and when the time comes he somehow keeps the title.

He treats wrestling like a joke...fuck him.

But HHH doesn't???

A joke?? No

His personal playground where he gets to play the perpetual king of the castle and all around him are meaningless replacable peasents?? Yes

Against Goldberg?

I hope so.

If not Goldberg as next champ - who else? The only other alternatives (I think) right now are Jericho and Kane (eventually) - it'll need to pass through a face first because if a heel went up against HHH they would turn face straight away.

Can't we all agree that the World Title picture should revolve around this theory...

Kevin Nash < Goldberg < HHH < Other Contenders

Goldberg as champ is the drop dead last option they should look into...

but the problem is that every single person that goes against HHH on average of two events in a row, gets buried or thrown into Midcard uncertainity making HHH untouchable. How many main eventers do they even have left on the Raw side... Um..None. So who do they push for a Shot, another Bubba vs HHH feud?

At least Hogan during his 5 year or so run as Champion took on multiple people. Especially outside of Major angles like vs Piper, Orindorf, Bundy, Andre (for two years) Savage ( for two years) he also wrestled guys like Valentine, Orton, Muroco, Big John Studd etc etc he had to go through the majority of the Heels on the Roster in between his big feuds..

Now in Modern Wrestling times HHH doesn't have to go through that because for some reason Wrestlers only wrestle in Feud situations. because usually WWE PPVS is usually month after month. there is no time for a Champion to come on and beat a handful of guys for no apparent reason while he feuds with a main guy at the PPV. well now at least they have a 2 month period for brand shows. But then again that doesn't gurantee that wrestlers will wrestle outside of feuds.. Since Kane's Unmasking he only had 2 actual matches, and both were with RVD. so go figure.

So back to the original point. We are stuck as Fans and as Smart Marks because we cannot see anyone viable to take HHH on. Any good name, has already went against him, lost and been cast down to the Abyss.

what can they do if they don't give Goldberg a shot?
