Ah, the most curious case of Dr. Eagan and Mr. Ectocooler.

 

This presence of two distinct personalities, both in complete denial of each other, is obviously a sign of advanced dementia. However, as with all such concerns, the root lies in the patients behaviour in everyday life. In this case, Eagan obviously feels insecure about his personality, and the use of a pseudonom with which to forge a new reputation allows him a chance to believe that hostility towards him is not a reflection of his true self, but rather due to a conspiricay against him. However, the most basic annoying traits are present in both patients and as such both garner the same unsympathetic reaction. Eagan would be best served concentrating on rectifying on his own personality instead of attempting to make people accept his currently inferior one.
