Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2003 My English teacher this year...Mrs. Leurini...likes death metal. A middle-aged fat woman that works at MY high school...LIKES DEATH METAL. ...I think I might have a new favorite teacher... She used to live with SEPULTURA in NYC, too. And I think she might have worked for Metal Blade back in the late 80's/early 90's (she said she used to work for a death metal label).
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 28, 2003 "A middle-aged fat woman" That must ruin the entire thing though... Wouldn't a hot out of college hottie be better?
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 Well, yes...but as-is, she's still a metalhead.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 29, 2003 Does this Mean Essays on The Ruin of Metallica and the Rise of Shadows Fall?
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 Hahahah...that's awesome, although I was expecting something more exciting. Wasn't Metal Blade run out of Arizona back then? Maybe she said Roadrunner?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted August 29, 2003 I'm pretty positive Metal Blade is out of New York. That's a trip. Ask her if she's into any grind bands.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 Does this Mean Essays on The Ruin of Metallica and the Rise of Shadows Fall? Possibly. Although it's an English class, so I might have to tie that into another feature. Maybe do a "soundtrack" essay where I explain why each song would fit a certain play/book... NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 yer lucky. I had to settle for a semi-attractive teacher that sang AC/DC tunes on the playground when she was in elementary school.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 I'm pretty positive Metal Blade is out of New York. Brian Slagel started Metal Blade in L.A. For a while it was based in AZ, then back to California. They've been in CA in recent years, as I was in contact with them due to college radio.

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2003 I'm going with Roadrunner being out of NYC. The only other real metal label from up there is Sanctuary. Century Media is based out of Cali., and when Nuclear Blast closed up its stateside office, they moved their business/personell over to Century Media's office.
