NYU Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 I've just attempted to download American Wedding on Kazaa for the third time and, for the third time, I've downloaded the trailer instead. The descriptions say it's the real movie but, of course, it isn't. So my question is, which program is the best to download movies ? Which one is the easiest to find movies to download and most reliable during the downloading process ? I'm sure people here must have some really good internet programs that I haven't heard of yet.
Guest Ecto Cooler Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 Kazaa Lite K++ - if it's the real movie it'll be obvious by the file size (usually 120 MB +) If a movie hasn't come out yet, it most likely isn't up. But wait a few weeks after it's released and a bootleg will be on there. If you try to download a movie that isn't out yet but is labled as such, it's probably a different movie. Also, with Kazaa Lite hit "find more sources" a few times. If alot of people have the file it's probably real.
Insane Bump Machine Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 The best easy program to download lots (and I mean LOTS) of movies is Emule. There are thousands of sites on the net where you can get verified movie links for the program. The biggest is Sharereactor, but if you're a real film buff I recommend Fileheaven. You can download Emule here.
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 http://homepage.ntlworld.com/j.buchanan/mo...ovie/index.html has lots of movie listings for WinMX, if you can tolerate the queue hell.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted September 1, 2003 Report Posted September 1, 2003 I managed to get a good copy off Soulseek first time. But, as previously stated, check the file size. Movies are usually at least 600 MB.
Youth N Asia Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 The newest Kazaa is good. And the AVI preview helps with being able to check the file before it's done downloading
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 earthstaion5...direct download off the servers. and Many first run movies. You can also try the fasttrackcentralforum for sig2dat links for kazaa.
Guest Ecto Cooler Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 And the AVI preview helps with being able to check the file before it's done downloading That's a good point. If you're downloading a movie that's a large file, it's best to preview it after it's about 5% downloaded to make sure it's the correct film.
Mole Posted September 2, 2003 Report Posted September 2, 2003 Sometimes it takes a day or 7 to download a movie, even at a fast speed.
