Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Not like it matters who makes the NC game...Oklahoma will crush whoever and no I'm not an Oklahoma fan. Totally agree, at some level I almost wish it ends up being TCU so that Oklahoma can win 100-0 and put the finishing touches on one of the best seasons in years. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 I didn't get to see the Ohio State/Purdue game, my local ABC station took the FSU/NC State game, which I have no complaints about. Phillip Rivers is absolutely amazing. Oh, and I'll rock the Bowl Pick'em. Be'lee dat.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Didn't Tech beat Texas last year, or am I thinking of someone else huge they beat? Either way, after FSU/NC State is over, I'm switching over to UT/TTU.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Man, even if I were Oklahoma, I would NOT want to play in Morgantown this season. West Virginia is just fucking Pittsburgh UP.
Bored 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 (edited) West Virginia is handing it to Pittsburgh. This means the Big East title and BCS berth comes down to the Miami/Pittsburgh most likely. If Miami wins put them in the Orange Bowl but if Pittsburgh wins, West Virginia amazingly will win the Big East. Damnit Texas wins so you can pretty much put them in the Fiesta Bowl now. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Nice game. Losers. Guess it's the Sun Bowl again. Texas will have zero problem kicking the living crap out of the heartless Aggies. Over 60 points is a distinct possibility.
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Hrm... Unfortunately for LSU, the only thing guaranteed for them at the moment is that every game from now on will inch their strength of schedule up. On the plus side, Michigan should probably knock Ohio State out of the competition next week and MAYBE UCLA or Oregon State could trip up USC. And if Florida can hopefully leapfrog Georgia in the BCS (either by winning big in their own games or Georgia dropping one to Georgia Tech) , LSU will get to play Tennessee in the SEC title game. That will be a tough game but it will be against a team that will give LSU quality win points and help them out in the jockeying for the national title game slots. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 So we get Texas against Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl, since they'll avoid sending Miami out west and they don't want a repeat game with FSU?

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 (edited) I wanna know how Maryland managed to beat the West Virginia team now that West Virginia has beaten VT and Pittsburgh. Maryland's going to a bowl game. If they beat NC State and Wake Forest (NC State tough game, Wake Forest is an easier game) then they should go to the Toyota Gator Bowl as the ACC #2 and would face the Big East #2 which could be Miami, Virginia Tech (neato old ACC team vs next year new ACC Team) or Pittsburgh. Maryland could probably beat the Hokies, but the other two games would probably be losses. I was reading some old news about MD going to the Humanitarian Bowl..but that would suck. Guest Just J Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Fuck LSU and go Ole Miss. Well Bama played like shit last night. I'm glad I was drinking Turkey all day, it numbed the game quite a bit for me. But Georgia spanked Aurburn's ass and that made me happy.
Bored 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 So we get Texas against Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl, since they'll avoid sending Miami out west and they don't want a repeat game with FSU? Well if Pittsburgh beats Miami and thus giving the Big East to West Virginia then Florida State will be in the Orange Bowl. But if Miami wins it then its going to get ugly. Everyone says if the BCS has to take TCU they'd want to match them up with Texas in the Fiesta Bowl since they are old Southwest Conference rivals. The Rose Bowl isn't going to want either Miami or Florida State but they might be forced to take one, probably FSU because their fans travel better. That would mean it'd be Miami against the SEC champ in the Orange Bowl.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Miami against the SEC champ, unless the SEC champ ends up being Tennessee. It's still possible, and that would REALLY mess things up. Being the SEC partisan that I am, I want Ohio State and USC to get knocked off (I know Ohio State will be next week at least) so LSU can play for the national title, assuming they'd win out the rest of their games, but considering they have to play at Ole Miss AND they'd be playing Tennessee/Florida/Georgia in the SEC title game... Goddamn I love the SEC. Once again, toughest fuckin' conference in the nation. Nothing is assured, even VANDERBILT can come out of nowhere and go medieval on Kentucky. Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 so.. which players would you have if you had to field a College all-star team to face the best team in the NFL? Jason White would be one guy, even if he's going to be doomed in the NFL

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2003 Well.....it's kind of true. The NFL guys are bigger and play harder. Plus it's a different game with different rules. NFL is harsher as well. I mean OU is my favorite team and they are the best college team in the nation...and I think they'd get stomped by the worst NFL team.
