Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 been a boring opening sunday...Blowouts and a Ugly Caro/Jax game
CanadianChris Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Well, the late games are going to suck. At least I can get both, so I can flip back and forth between them and the US Open final.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 And Martz again proves why he's the worst coach in the NFL. Going for it twice on 4th down when your in field goal range and only down by 10. Idiot.
CanadianChris Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Houston LEADS Miami 21-20, 25 secs left.

CanadianChris Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 It's over! Texans beat the Dolphins, 21-20!
LaParkaMarka Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 So, are the Texans actually a decent team, or did Miami totally choke here? What happened to Miami's vaunted D, anyways?
CanadianChris Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 The offence choked in the fourth, from what the CBS guys are saying. Fiedler threw a pick that got turned into a score.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 ok I've been gone for 2 hours so TEXANS BEAT DOLPHINS?!? WTF
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Washington Redskins - THURSDAY GAME (check) Buffalo Bills (check) Carolina Panthers (check) Denver Broncos (check) Indianapolis Colts (check) Arizona Cardinals (eh, it could have gone either way) Green Bay Packers (Almost won) Kansas City Chiefs (check) Miami Dolphins (chokers) St. Louis Rams (FUCK MARTZ) Pittsburgh Steelers (check) so far I am 7-4...Not great but not horrible.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 WOOO!!!!! Bills win! Dolphins, Jets and Pats LOSE!!!!
LaParkaMarka Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I must also add a "whoo" for those wacky Vikes. My prediction of them winning their division seems a little more plausible now. Go Vikes!
fazzle Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Let's see...I'm 6-5 so far, and APO is 4-7. I've got the win so far, but APO is beating me in the tiebreaker(5 points off to 1 point off)
Guest Eagan469 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Just got back from the Ralph! Go Bills! WHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CanadianChris Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Washington Redskins - THURSDAY GAME (check) Buffalo Bills (check) Carolina Panthers (check) Denver Broncos (check) Indianapolis Colts (check) Arizona Cardinals (eh, it could have gone either way) Green Bay Packers (Almost won) Kansas City Chiefs (check) Miami Dolphins (chokers) St. Louis Rams (FUCK MARTZ) Pittsburgh Steelers (check) so far I am 7-4...Not great but not horrible. As am I...if I'm not mistaken, our match comes down to the Monday night game.
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 depends how the late games were voted... what was your tiebreaker?
CanadianChris Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 We only differed on the Redskins (yours), Lions (mine) and Bucs/Eagles. I have the tiebreaker (4-7) but it doesn't matter, since we can't tie.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Washington Redskins (Yes) Buffalo Bills (Yes) Carolina Panthers (Yes) Denver Broncos (Yes) Indianapolis Colts (Yes) Detroit Lions (Yes) Green Bay Packers (No) Kansas City Chiefs (Yes) Miami Dolphins (No) New York Giants (Yes) Pittsburgh Steelers (Yes) Atlanta Falcons San Francisco 49ers New Orleans Saints Tennessee Titans [LOCK] Tampa Bay Buccaneers Not bad so far. The Miami upset cost me...but I imagine that got most people too.
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 So, are the Texans actually a decent team, or did Miami totally choke here? What happened to Miami's vaunted D, anyways? I'm gonna fucking *RIP* somebody's head off (not you, LPM) Game wasn't on here, but I'm going to assume they went into "safety" mode late in the game, as their wont to do. Give up the underneath stuff, and oh look, FG range Now, I'm off to smash stuff...
CanadianChris Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 What a catch by Robinson! Goes up to get the ball, bounces off 2 tacklers as he comes down, and takes off for the end zone. 14-3 Seahawks.

I'm gonna fucking *RIP* somebody's head off (not you, LPYC) Game wasn't on here, but I'm going to assume they went into "safety" mode late in the game, as their wont to do. Give up the underneath stuff, and oh look, FG range Now, I'm off to smash stuff... On the bright side... MY team killed their opponent. ... At least it was a division game!

Bored Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 30-7 49ers as Stewart has an interception returned for a touchdown in the final minute of the half. Wow the Bears suck...which is good for my 49ers.
Vern Gagne Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Put Grossman in the game. Seriously the Bears aren't winning anything and Stewart is absolutley horrible.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I like Grossman too much to throw him in the game. If they let him learn and don't destroy his confidence (as happens to so many) I think he's going to be the second best QB of the 4 first rounders down the line (after Leftwich...who's like a young Bledsoe)
MrRant Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I am debating going to the ESPN Sunday Night Football game between the 49ers and Seahawks in October.
Bored Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Put Grossman in the game. Seriously the Bears aren't winning anything and Stewart is absolutley horrible. Why take him out? I'm loving this! 33-7 after another Kordell pick. Yes I suspect Grossman will start the 2nd half. Can't remember the last time the 49ers had a game this easy.
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Put Grossman in the game. Seriously the Bears aren't winning anything and Stewart is absolutley horrible. I was saying the same thing eariler with Kitna and Palmer but after thinking about it...Cincy was dying and put the rook in there with unmotivated and depressed team mates...not a good note...even if it means we keep the guy who threw 4 int's in the game... I understand why they didn't put Palmer in but at LEAST put Mathews in there...
Vern Gagne Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I like Grossman too much to throw him in the game. If they let him learn and don't destroy his confidence (as happens to so many) I think he's going to be the second best QB of the 4 first rounders down the line (after Leftwich...who's like a young Bledsoe) I can understand your point. It's more about how awful Kordell Stewart is than Grossman. Kitna struggled today, but he's a decent QB. By default Rex Grossman is better, even if he's never played before.
