CanadianChick Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 A-Train. no, that's benoit. I thought Benoit would face Rhyno.
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Yep...No Mercy is looking decent Brock/Taker Angle/Cena Eddy/TBS Benoit/Rhyno Mysterio/Tajiri Maybe we'll get WGTT/Knoble&Gunn to add...
KTID Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Yep...No Mercy is looking decent Brock/Taker Angle/Cena Eddy/TBS Benoit/Rhyno Mysterio/Tajiri Maybe we'll get WGTT/Knoble&Gunn to add... We'll likely get Steph/Sable, Gowen/A-Train, Vince/Al Wilson, Cole/Tazz and Doink/Dink.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 You're forgetting the obligatory McMahon match.
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 No worries...Vince will insert himself actively in the Title match
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 There's no way this Kurt/John program can end well.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 No worries...Vince will insert himself actively in the Title match A lesser evil, or maybe not...
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Angle walks away happy knowing he elevated the future...Cena is elevated.. That's good.
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Angle walks away happy knowing he elevated the future...Cena is elevated.. That's good. Just like the Edge or Rey feuds? They certainly worked well for all sides involved. Either it's for the title, Kurt wins, and nothing changes, or it's for no title and Kurt gets demoted and the whole thing is viewed as ultra-midcard. Besides, Kurt can't feud with the US champ. Someone needs to fight for that belt.
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 AS... Test/Steiner is mid-card... Angle/Cena is Upper card...
CanadianChick Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 AS, who would you rather face Angle then? Angle won't lose the belt to Cena, thus won't look 'weak'. Cena would be elevated by wrestling in a high profile match, no matter if he wins or loses. It's win-win.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 AS can already envision more Kurt raps.
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Cena would be elevated by wrestling in a high profile match, no matter if he wins or loses. It's win-win. The Brock match did nothing for him. Angle/Cena is Upper card... Not good enough. Ca you guarantee we won't see a repeat of Angle/Edge?
Guest The Real Nosferatu Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I hope Angle can carry Cena to a decent match. (Still trying to annoy Ray for being a bitch about Angle and TNA)
CanadianChick Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Ca you guarantee we won't see a repeat of Angle/Edge? Yes, because Kurt is the champ. THey have to treat him with respect in order to keep the title respectable. And the only reason the Brock match did nothing for Cena was because WWE did nothing for him after. If it had a follow up, there is no way for Cena to lose. And if Angle wins, it's good for him too.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Come to think of it, did the Taker matches do anything for Cena? I mean, had the feud not occured and Cena still went up against Eddy, would there really be that much of a difference?
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Kurt is the champion for one more week...
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I hope Angle can carry Cena to a decent match. (Still trying to annoy Ray for being a bitch about Angle and TNA) I'm starting to think UYI was right about you.
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Ca you guarantee we won't see a repeat of Angle/Edge? Yes, because Kurt is the champ. THey have to treat him with respect in order to keep the title respectable. I don't think he'll have it come October.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Well, I'll be the first to predict that Cena will cost Kurt the title at the Iron Man match (which is what came to mind when I first read this at 1bob).
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Well, I'll be the first to predict that Cena will cost Kurt the title at the Iron Man match (which is what came to mind when I first read this at 1bob). And then Kurt costs Cena the US title, continuing Eddy's midcard reign. There is an upside somewhere, right?
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 eddy gets to headline Series?
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 eddy gets to headline Series? With the US title?
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 eddy gets to headline Series? With the US title? No for the WWE Title... against lesnar...in his hometown...
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 eddy gets to headline Series? With the US title? No for the WWE Title... against lesnar...in his hometown... But he's still US champion.

And then Kurt costs Cena the US title, continuing Eddy's midcard reign. There is an upside somewhere, right? Um, unless there's going to be a Cena/Eddy series I don't follow. The Eddy/Cena streetfight is next week, while Kurt/Brock is in 2 weeks.
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 eddy gets to headline Series? With the US title? No for the WWE Title... against lesnar...in his hometown... But he's still US champion. at the moment...whose to say he wont drop it at some point in the next 9 weeks before series...
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 I think (hope) he'd drop it to someone he is feuding with, not just some random match. He's feuding with Cena right now. Logically a Brock feud starts after that.
Guest Choken One Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 wasn't Eddy sucking up to vince last week? PERFECT. Brock being paranoid as he is takes offense and that starts up that program...he's afraid Eddy is taking his spot from vince...
Guest Anglesault Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 So who does he lose the belt to? He can't lose it to Brock, he can't lose it to Cena, anything else is random and stupid.
