Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted September 11, 2003 show how bad they suck. They clip the matches? C'mon. I would put up ANY of ROH's shows and it would not only beat a regular episode of TNA but it would beat any best of that they could put on. It's sad. TNA has a PPV deal yet they can't even half the buys they need to break even each week. Tim
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 TNA isnt THAT bad..but I do agree any ROH show could blow them away.
Guest Tim Cooke Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I order a show that they hype to death only to clip the matches.....BUSH LEAGUE. Tim
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 If you had taken a look at the match listing, it was pretty obvious that the matches would be clipped, how else would they fit that many matches in to a two hour show?! Honestly, it's one cent, and you're getting something better than the crap the WWE is putting up for $34.95 later this month. Some people can find anything to complain about, I suppose. tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 They have already reached the level of too much Shane Douglas on this show. Of course Shane Douglas being on a best of show all together is going too far.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Hypothetical question for ya Tim: Take everything about ROH, bookers, talent, etc... Toss it into a two hour MAX timeslot every week. Would it be as good as ROH is now?
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Agreed - they shouldn't have had either of these segments on the show. All this is leading in to a cut Jarrett/Raven match, which has been one of my favourites.
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I think they just clipped to 10 secs ahead..what was the point of that?
Guest abowen33 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 You can't blame them for the cuts during the Ultimate X - even if it made them look bushleague, at least what they cut was what would have made them look even MORE bushleague.

Yeah, but the basis of THIS show is to persuade new viewers to purchase future shows. When it's a hard-sell with CLIPPED matches, people have a right to complain about the .01¢ show. This is not to mention the lack of explanation of the storylines that got us to that match in the first place (although I don't know if they're doing this on the InDemand show or not). Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Well there's the final announcement for the Raven/Douglas hair -v- hair match.. Where will Douglas go from here though.. hopefully the unemployment line, I've had more than my fill regarding this feud.
Guest Doyo Report post Posted September 11, 2003 If you look at it as just an infomercial, then it is damn good one. The cage match alone is worth the penny. I like ROH better, but the quality of ROH would suffer a lot if they did weekly ppvs too.
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Did they just skip half of this match? Should of skipped the Douglas crap.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Did they just skip half of this match? Should of skipped the Douglas crap. That's exactly what I just said to my friend when I saw that.. "I had to sit through over 20 minutes of Douglas crap to have them cut half the match out? Blah."

I see your point, but I think they're trying to sell the point of the wrestling being better quality than what you will see on Raw, or even any Raw ppv for that matter. Yes, I understand that showing Shane Douglas for extended amounts of time doesn't exactly prove such a thing, but I'm just raising a point
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Not even half..they got rid of about 7/8th's of this thing.
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I remember I boycotted TNA for about a month after that finish.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 *sighs* That ending was such horse shit.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Yeah.. I remember saying about two weeks before that bout if he won that I would begin calling him Triple J. ..that was also before it caught on.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 This is great cutting of the Sting/Jarrett .v. Waltman/Styles The Sting hot tag could be enough to influence some of the fans to check it out again.. they'd better put on a damn good show next week. I would put up ANY of ROH's shows and it would not only beat a regular episode of TNA but it would beat any best of that they could put on. Oh, go cry me a river, Tim. You like ROH so much? Then by all means go watch it but please, spare us the constant BITCHING you do around here. I remember the little pearls of wisdom that you used to post on the totalnonstop.com board, filled with constant bitching and complaining and you're still doing the same shit. Give it a rest already because no one cares. Do you not understand the simple logic that they couldn't fit all of the matches listed in a two-hour block of time? Ya understand, Tim? They needed to talk about current feuds in order to get new fans informed so they couldn't fill up the entire show with just straight matches. Simple logic, pal. You want to talk about TNA not breaking even or how many buys then get...atleast they're on PPV. What PPV provider carries ROH? EXACTLY. Moron. Well then go watch ROH and spare us your constant bitching. Moron. He paid for the show- he has a right to bitch. Even if it did cost a penny. Hell- people bitch about RAW and SD! I didn't get a chance to see the show due to my lack of TNA access but the show sounded like a great idea- I hope they didn't butcher the hell out of it
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 They did butcher it alot Bob. It was still worth it for a damn penny though.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Yeah.. it definatly could have been a lot better. But the cage match itself was worth the penny.
Guest The Real Nosferatu Report post Posted September 11, 2003 First Hour ruled. Second hour I played Rocky for the old SEGA. AND I STILL CAN'T BEAT DRAGO! DAMN RUSSIAN!
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 They did butcher it alot Bob. It was still worth it for a damn penny though. That's a shame. I would've done 4 matches over 2 hrs- AJ v. Low Ki/AJ v. Raven/the cage match/Sabin v. Kazarian Two awesome title matches, the cage match and some good X action
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 They spent well over 20 mins on the Douglas- Raven feud and showed about 2 and a half mins of Raven-Jarrett. I wonder who made that decision. That probably turned many people off.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted September 11, 2003 Agreed with the previous two sentiments. I would have liked to see the Red/Lynn -v- Triple X match as well - I believe that was the matchup, anyways.
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 That match was great. But t was about 25 mins I believe. So you would've seen 4 mins.
