I never denied his wrestling ability except when he came back from being a drunk but his character and his accent irked me to no end. After seeing tonight's match though I'm convinced he's exactly like Jericho. I don't know if it's because Cena bores the fuck out of me and I wanted to see him get his ass beat or if it's because Eddy is just that good that you're like "wow, I like him".

I've always felt that while it may be debatable as to who the BEST wrestler is between Eddy and Benoit, there's really no debate as to who's the better fit in the fed.

 

Eddy just oozes charisma, comes across as being just plain "cool", and has a more high-flying, eye-catching style.

I'm a huge Benoit mark and I have no problem admitting that Eddy is several streets ahead of Chris at this point, when Chris looks fully fired up and motivated that may change, at the moment however it seems like he's going through the motions a bit whilst Eddies the happiest he's ever been and it shows in his work

The parking lot match was a great example of the awesomeness of Eddie. Hell, it might well have been Cena's best match so far. Think about that! It's a friggin parking lot match, those usually suck pretty bad. Yet Eddie did so many inventive and hilarious spots in it that it became quite brilliant.

 

I thought going in that this might be the sort of dumbshit match that would hurt Eddie's momentum. I was happy to be wrong.

Or even if this was last year when Eddie and Edge were going at it and Eddie was seemingly peaking (though Benoit was good as well at that time). But now? Benoits match with Rhyno last night completely changed things.

must be annoying to the WWE...they tried turning Eddie when he was a Hot face...and it didn't work. The Fans in the stands didnt act like the usual cattle and cheered eddy anyway. so now we get Los Guerreros reunite and probably yet another run against Team Angle.....all the while Eddy defends the Us gold.
