Mole 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Season Two is pretty good, Angel's 'turn' is pretty sweet.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 Angel signing "Mandy" (hell, the whole "Angel-Sings") is fucking brizziliant. Angel's turn, on the other hand, was fucking frustrating when it was happening. Reruns have been kind to it, and it's pretty fucking awesome, but at the time... fuck... Mole 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 How come it was so frustrating?
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2003 MAJRO SPOILER FOR SWEEPS! DON'T READ IF YOU WNAT TO BE SUPRISED! Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Andrew will be making a guest appearance around the 100th episode during sweeps. Also around this time, the Slayer storyline is worked into Angel via a disturbed young mental patient in an episode where, if the spoilers are correct, is going to be exceedingly disturbing. I caved in a read it, but that doesn't do anything for me.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2003 Blah. I need someone to cheer for. When I can't cheer for anyone, I get frustrated (see, Being John Malkovich).
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2003 You sound like a mark.... I was all for Gunn/Wes/Cordy during that ordeal.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 12, 2003 .... Aaaaand? Let me put it into perspective. *At the time* I had relatively no idea who Darla was - I was a fan of Buffy, but certainly did not have the, let's say, "resources" that I do now. You know the show where they play with Angels head and Darla says she's another person?? That fucked with me too. There was a lot of shit going on in it, the world was in chaos, and the one solid rock you were supposed to lean on - the hero - was not so secure. The one person you know who will come through in the end and that you could cheer, was faltering. So it was frustrating to get through the shows. I didn't have the same relationship with Gunn, Cordy, and Wes that I do now - Gunn was pretty foreign, Wes was fun but still the nerd, and Cordy was just vision girl. That's not a great support system. The scene where Angel lets Holland die, that was fucking INSANE... and I mean this all in a GOOD WAY because that's what they meant to do. They meant to frustrate you, they meant to create a world of chaos. Now, as I look back, it's more "fun" than frustrating to see how they build the show and knowing where they are going plus having that relationship with the characters, but at the time - shit, I was like "WHY ARE THEY DOING THIIIIISS!!!!" - so yeah, call that markish behaviour if you want... Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 Weird moment: VH1 is showing a TV movie about The Temptations, and it's got J. August Richards (Gunn!), DB Woodside (Principal Wood!), and Bianca Lawson (Kendra!), the latter of whom plays Diana Ross. BIZARRO!

Mole 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 1. Spike owned tonight. 2. It was pure Joss tonight when Wes bumped into the door and bumped into that chick. 3. I thought Wes' Father was taking Angel's soul out, that would of been much cooler. 4. Fred wasn't as foxy tonight. 5. We NEED more of Gunn fighting. I like the new Gunn, but we need him being a badass more often. 6. Continuty with Spike and Angel was awesome. There seemed to be a lot of that tonight when it comes to continuty. 7. We needed Wes to have more than a few minutes during a episode. I hope we get more Wes. 8. Lorne wasn't around at all. Is he even in the opening credits anymore? 9. Next week is going to own. When they do flashbacks, the episode is always awesome.
Cavi 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2003 I so marked out when Wes just unloaded on his pops/robot. I got a laugh out of Angel and especially Spike at the end. Quality ep, I thought. Dru!!
