Mole 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 I'll ask this question again, does anyone know the difference between the regular DVD sets and the collector's edition DVD sets? There is one up for bid on ebay, and it has 11 discs comapred to the 6 that season 3 has. What could possibly be on the other 5 discs? Linkage? This is from the e-mail I got back from her the difference with my version and US version is: different number of disc has some Chinese on the Covering do have Chinese/English Subtitles. but you can remove them by your dvd-player controller So forget that, plus the S&H is 23.00. Steve J. Rogers 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 Well, she was absent from college for awhile, when she went all evil, so when she decided to go back in season seven, she probably would have had a lot to go before graduating. I'm just wondering why Willow and Tara didn't get jobs while they were living at Buffy's home and helping to pay for things instead of Buffy having to work at Doublemeat Palace. Actually she did some sort of memory spell with her professors and went back to her normal track

Guest Vitamin EC Report post Posted November 30, 2003 It's probably just going to be counterfeit and whomever made it could only fit 2 eps per DVD.
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 She did? When was this? She didn't do a memory spell, she just did some magic to get her grades up. This is what she said to her teacher in "Selfless" WILLOW And it's not like I've been gone for that long, and I've already done all the reading that I missed. And I can sign up for— PROFESSOR Willow, Willow, it's OK. We'll get you caught up in no time. WILLOW (smiles) Really? PROFESSOR What am I gonna say? No, I don't want my best student back in my class? Well, of course I noticed that drop-off in your grades at mid-term last year, and I was concerned— WILLOW Yeah, that was— PROFESSOR But then—viola. You turned it around and aced all your finals like—boom. Magic. WILLOW (nervous laugh) Yeah, similar to, but, um...
Cavi 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 A comment on the DVD bit: The Collector's Edition DVD sets are simply what Fox calls the Region 2 sets. Like the Region 2 Season Five set has a sticker that says "Collector's Edition" on it, yet it was the only version released there, so it's not really some special edition. For every set, both regions have the same numbers of discs. As far as I know, none of the sets have seen a Region 3 release, which would be a Chinese release. Unless this person is mistaking Chinese for Japanese, but even then, I think only the first season has seen a straight Japanese release (i.e. not a UK import) and that was just earlier in the year (and I don't believe that had any Japanese text on it either; it was also called a "Collector's Edition"). So, sounds pretty iffy.
Max Danger 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2003 Ah, yeah, now I remember the whole Willow thing. Oh well. Not like she was still going to school considering her having to fight off the apocolypse and all.

Guest stardust Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Completely off the current topic: Does TNT usually show Angel eps at 4 in the afternoon (that's CST, btw)? I've never noticed it before, but an episode's on right now (also happens to be one I've never seen) and I was just wondering if this is normal so I'll be sure to catch them from now on. Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Ooh, and it's the start of the Pylea Trilogy, too! Great end to Season 2.

Yeah, they just started syndication of it this fall (only on weekdays, though).
Guest stardust Report post Posted December 1, 2003 I knew TNT was showing episodes, I thought they were in the morning, though. And woo! I finally get to see how they found/rescued Fred. I missed all of this due to the cable company where I was living dropping the WB, but was able to pick it back up later. The first episode I remember Fred being in was the one where she was writing on the walls. I was highly confused at that, wondering who the hell this random woman was. Mole 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 I think on Thursday they are showing season 3. Which is sweet because I never saw season 3.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Ooh, and it's the start of the Pylea Trilogy, too! Great end to Season 2. I thought people generally hated the Pylea episodes.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 In theory I thought it would suck...but they pulled it off and I love them. Angel sees the demon that's really inside of his body, we see WACKY FRED~, Lorne sings "Stop (in the name of love)", Lorne's brother doing the dances, Angel fussing over his hair in the mirror and running around in the sun...just a great great great trilogy. Guest stardust Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Ooh, and it's the start of the Pylea Trilogy, too! Great end to Season 2. I thought people generally hated the Pylea episodes. I haven't seen any of them until today, and the first one was good, IMO. I already know what happens eventually (obviously), but having missed those eps, I'm curious to see just HOW it all happens. Granted, I can't speak for every Angel fan out there, but I've liked the one ep I've seen so far.

Now I really have to see the other two episodes. Angel running around in the sun was classic, though. And when I first heard Fred talk I was like "Geezus, her accent's worse than mine." RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Pylea eh? WOW. We Canadians already have Gru BACK and dressed up like angel ... kinda similar to the Spike storyline now where Angel gets jealous about not being the only strongman in the crew.
Cavi 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Angel running around in the sun was classic, though. That rules! "Oh hey, look. There is some over in that patch of sun. I'll get them!" It's also funny when he sees himself in the mirror and goes on about his hair.

Drew Carey is doing both "The Drew Carey Show" and "Who's Line is it Anyway" Once the show "Angel" started David was only making a few appearances on Buffy every once and awhile. It's also funny when he sees himself in the mirror and goes on about his hair. I somehow managed to miss the mirror part. I caught today's ep about 10 minutes into it, and Angel was being told to chop Fred's head off. I was a bit confused. As someone who's just seeing the Pylea trilogy for the first time, though, I'm enjoying it.

Drew Carey is doing both "The Drew Carey Show" and "Who's Line is it Anyway" Once the show "Angel" started David was only making a few appearances on Buffy every once and awhile. I meant the only actor to be on different shows, at the same time, on cable. Buffy is on at 5 on FX and Angel is on at 5 on TNT, you see?

Guest stardust Report post Posted December 3, 2003 After watching the Pylea Trilogy for the first time, I must say those three episodes were quite awesome. And I'm guessing the appearance of Willow at the very end of the third one is her telling Angel that Buffy's dead, right?
