The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Recommended Posts

I think the difference is that the knight was trying to kill Dawn, thus he was bad.

Ben himself never tried to kill Dawn, or atleast Buffy didn't know that. Granted, Ben wanted Dawn to be sacrificed, but Buffy didn't know that.

Season 5 still owns!!!!

The episode "Billy" is on right now...I know we had a discussion not long ago about this one and it's themes.

This is my first time to see this episode though.

EDIT: Okay I'm done watching it....man that was a good episode, but hard to watch.

Could have used better pictures of SMG for those Collections DVDs. That Season Six promo shot of Alyson is also constantly used, though I guess that makes some sense since they never did do studio promos for the last season.

And "Billy" is indeed a quality ep.

Yeah, Fred hearing Wes crying at the end was a really nice touch to a great episode.

Season three has been fantastic so far.

And we're about to get into the baby episodes so it's about to get even better.

I really want, even though I'll probably have all the eps already on DVD. I just can't resist.

Whoa..... what are these supposed to be, and where can I get them?

I think I still have a DVD playing program that can switch regions....

If you have a player that can become another region, then go to amazon.co.uk.

Damn, they didn't tell me anything.

Anybody know exactly what these are, what episodes are on them and the like?

They're not big collections though, only one disc per character, so don't expect more than four episodes apiece. I'm just hoping they make some smart choices, I've been thinking about the Faith set and while episodes like Bad Girls, Graduation Day part I and This Year's Girl are great Faith eps, they just wouldn't fit on the disc without the following episodes being included. For the most part, I really think they should stick with stand-alone eps only.

That's... pointless. If someone cares enough about the show to buy DVDs, they've probably already bought the season collections. Why release these new teeny-tiny theme discs?

An odd rumor making the rounds today (I'll put tags on this, though I don't know if anybody would care anyway):

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Supposedly Clay Aiken, of American Idol fame, will be guesting in an upcoming ep as Lorne's cousin from Pylea. Whether this turns out to be true, or falls by the wayside like the Britney Spears Buffy Season Five rumor, remains to be seen.

If that is true though, I wonder how his cousin would know of music since it doesn't exist in Pylea (or maybe it does now; or maybe this cousin is living in this world in the first place).

And the Britney thing wasn't a rumor, she really was supposed to play the robot girl in season 5, but scheduling difficulties or something kept her from doing it. Too bad, I bet the episode would've been a riot with Spears doing that part. (And yes, she could've acted the part just fine, playing a one-note android type character is the easiest kind of brainless acting there is.)

How would that help the ratings...?

Didn't we already meet Lorne's cousin in Season 2?

Yeah, Landok.

Ah, true. I remember Adam Busch mentioning that in an interview once.

How would that help the ratings...?

Yeah, it wouldn't, but some higher up at WB could be thinking "This is GOLD!"
