The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Recommended Posts

I'm glad the season four repeats start on TNT today. I didn't get to see some of the earlier episodes from the season.

Yes, here is for everyone to see THE BEAST that haven't seen him.

However it sucks that TNT doesn't show the Angel in widescreen, the way it should be seen.

I saw SOME of The Beast episodes. Mostly the ones toward the end.

Holy shit. I've just seen Apocalypse Nowish on the WB reruns. That is fucking awesome. Wesley shooting it out is so fucking cool.

And that fight scene is probably the best fight scene I've seen on television.

Soooo fuckin good.

I saw the Alamo today and poor Marc Blucas.

The Buffy fans hate him, Kevin Smith can't even remember his name in interviews and the commentary. Then his character gets COMPLETLY cut out of The Alamo. He had a decent size role too and all he gets now is just a few scenes and one speaking role.

The guy just can't catch a break. Even though I never really liked him, anybody that is on Buffy/Angel/Firefly I want to see them do well in other roles.

Haven't done any searching yet, but does anyone know offhand if we're getting a new episode this week? For some reason I have the 14th in my head as a date to remember...

I always feel sorry for Blucas. It seems like I'm the only one that likes Riley.

They aired "You're Welcome" tonight on SPACE (hmm, I just happened to download it earler today) and that end still tugs at the heart strings. I dunno what was sadder, that, or Doyle. It really got me hyped up for the return this week.

Is the sad thing Cordy dieing? I thought you hated Cordy...

I thought the saddest thing this season was Fred dieing. Even though I can't remember which episode I liked better, "You're Welcome" or "A Hole in the World." When I get back to school, both of them are going to have to be downloaded so I can see which one is better.

I just love TV on Wednesday.

8: Smallville

9: Angel

10: South Park

10:30: DC Show

11: Seinfeld

11:30: Family Guy

I don't need to leave my room allllll night.

I'm just about done with Season Three on DVD. This is awesome. Especially the Angel/Connor stuff it establishes, what with how he didn't really mourn Buffy as much as he should have, but with Connor he basically tried to move heaven and Earth just to get him back. I thought that was just incredibly strong. And watching Angel escape Holtz that first time with the grenade, And Darla sacrificing herself. And that Tree that was sucking the power from Angel and Groo.

Season Three is amazing, and a lot of that has to do with Tim Minear being an executive producer. He did a better job than Marti did, even though Marti did a great job too.

So, was the Wes prophesy that sent Connor away meant for the Beast, and if so, was Jasmine (given the ambiguity of the language he was translating) the "son" and Connor the "father".

Didn't Angel fulfill the "Father kills the son" prophecy at the end of Season 4? I thought he killed Connor in order to reset Connor's life, putting him with a different family and different memories.

However, seeing Angel act crazy in season 2 defiently owned.

Yeah, him setting Darla and Drusilla on fire kicked fucking ass

Damn, you pulled that quote out of the blue. I was MoleSlayer then too.

But yes, Angel going crazy was some of the best TV I've seen. Granted, season 2 wasn't that great, but that one storyline made it amazing.

Nope.

Saja changed the prophecy because the orginal one said something like this "The son of the vampire with a soul will kill Saja."

Saja changed it that to "The vampire with the soul will kill his son." That way someone would get rid of Connor or so Wes would bring it to Holtz.

Plus, Angel says to Wes "The Father Will Kill the Son?" sarcastically. Wes, "What are you talking about?" Basically saying that the prophecy that Saja changed was full of shit.

well, I've just now seen it, so now is when I can reply to it. As unhappy as that season was getting it looked like it was gonna end up being like Buffy season 6. But them in Pylea made up for it. Angel telling about stuff from season 1 in Midevil Story style alone was hilarious

And the Wes/Gunn chemistry was awesome too.

Well I keep missing the episode where they say that I guess. That's why I was confused.

Actually it was Sahjhan, not Saja, my bad.

And that episode is "Forgiving" episode 3 x 17.

Connor seems more likeable in the reruns on TNT. I'm kicking myself now for missing the early episodes of season four. Bad ass Wes RULES. Banging Lilah AND keeping Justine as a slave. That's just...neat.

I was also cheering when Lilah beheaded Lynnwood. He gave evil a bad name.

Not to knack Charisma or anything because I am glad she had a kid and all. However if she never got pregnent, then season 4 would have been SOOOOO much better.

THE BEAST would have been the Big Bad for season 4, Cordy wouldn't have gone evil, blah blah blah.

Season 4 OWNS right now, but it still has a few things I would have fixed.

Boo to this - Tony Head's appearance at this convention I'm going to in June has been cancelled. I was going to get my picture taken with him, bah gawd! In his place will be Stephanie Romanov. She is cool and all, but I was set on meeting Tony.

I still will be meeting Marsters and the Troika, though. And Boreanaz next month, as well :headbang:

I'm going to a convention this Saturday, Hoss Vampire Luke will be in attendance, as will someone by the name of Eliza Dushku. For some reason, I don't think Hoss Luke will be getting any of my time...
