Recommended Posts

How long untill this thread gets moved to "Classics"

Buffy's last year lasted for 142 pages and wasn't moved untill October!

Steve

Heh, oddly enough this thread has 4000 more views than the Buffy Season Seven thread does..

The season 4 thread isn't as good because it doesn't have my Anya love.

Who in the hellmouth is Marney?

I just got season 6. Trio on DVD! I'm so excited.

The season 6 DVD is pretty awesome so far. I love the behind the scenes for Once More With Feeling.

And I forgot how great Life Serial was.

hey I watched the season 1 ep where angel was turned human briefly. a very good episode, though kinda cheap to be relying on buffy crossovers so early but still good. it was funny when angel started eating food lol a better ep was the next one called hero, where doyle sacrifices his life to save all the other half-demons. a truly tear-jerking moment and maybe one that served to give the angel character some perspective in what it means to be a hero.

yesterday I watched the next one, where cordy gets the visions and wes arrives. I loved the part at the end where wes was going to leave as angel was cooking breakfast for cord, he kept on talking and pretending to leave, as clearly he wanted to stay. Then angel invites him to join for eatin and we get a classic line in "did I hear something about toast?"

btw although it was a completely cold thing to do, i thought the wbs ending thank you was well done and it had me laughing after the somberness of the ending

cordy: so are you still all, yknow grrrrrrrrr?

angel: well there is no cure for that

and I have come to a conclusion as to what happened after the screen went black at the end. lorne appeared and started singing causing the demons to grab their ears in pain and while they weren't looking, connor showed up and opened a portal to quartoff and sent them packing

or not

so does anybody have any idea what happened to Lorne? did the sp's send any demons to kill him?

Doubt it. The impression I got is that he was gone for good with demon fighting. Really sad.

I'm watching Bargaining now and Giles leaving SD is sooo sad.

About 10% of of my posts on TSM are in this thread, so that helps it.

I almost forgot about season 6 today. If I forgot, it would be the first time since Buffy season 2 I didn't get it on the day it came out. Well, not counting season 5 since I asked that for X-Mas.

God, this is so good. I can't believe how big Buffy coming back was. What a price.

WTF is with the credits on the dvd?

Whoa, the song for the scene selection is the score for Buffy's death. That's like the best song ever from Buffy.

That's only the first episode that they have the big "BUFFY" logo with the scrunched credits. I was afraid they did that on all of them, but no (at least, not up through disc 2)

I know Afterlife has them too.

What's the deal with them? Why are they lke that? It's ugly.

I can't believe McNabb and Hallet are in the opening credits on Angel and Amber Benson isn't in Buffy's. That makes no sense.

Well, it took Hallet about 45 episodes to make it in (he was recurring from season 2 -> current, and he was a big player. I thought for sure he'd be, at the very least, in season 4's credits since episode 1).

McNabb I think was just added as a 'thank you' after being with the show for 5+ years, even though she isn't very significant. Actually I think that's why Hallet was added late in season 4, in case the series was cancelled after that season.

McNabb wasn't with Angel for 5 years. She was a bit player in like what, 2 episodes before season 5? Actually maybe only just the one. Then in season 5 she has a reaccuring role. Joyce deserves to be in the Buffy opening more than Harm in Angel's.

Lorne I can understand. He deserved it starting with season 3. He was just barely used in 5.

Tara was part of the scoobies for years though.

I think the real reason has to do with contracts. Like being considered a regular cast member is something you have to be signed up for.

I didn't mean 5+ years with Angel, just with Joss' shows in general. But yeah, I don't agree with her being in the credits anyway.

I would've liked to see Christian Kane in the credits, actually, even though he was only in a handful of eps this season.

Well, he was a (super)villian in season 6, and villians never make the credits, and he came in the next season 7 episodes later. By that time it'd be too late to make a new credits, especially with the show ending and all.

There's always time to add Andrew.

Besides, if he was added in CWDP he would have been added around the same time Riley and Spike were added in 4's. Even if he wasn't added till he joined the scoobies it would have been like half the season.

And for the special features, watch disc three the Academy of Television thing. It is sooo phat, even though the host is dumb.

"So Spike can't have sex like Angel?"

Being compared to Marney better be a good thing.

Watching Flooded again has reminded me why Warren is the best big bad ever and the Trio is the best group ever. They need a spin off so bad.

It is just you disagree with just about EVERYTHING that is sad. I think you do it just cause. I mean seriously, Andrew a champion? Calling Andrew a champion kills it for Angel.

The only thing we agree on is the love for season 6.

Just realized that the guy that played Gavin Park was one of the swat guys on 24<man they seem to have had quite a few Buffy/Angel people on there this season, heh> and is in tonights episode of The Shield

I do not disagree just to disagree. Why would I be so into my views if I was just trolling? Plus I'm consistent. Look back a year and you can see I've been ranting and raving about season 7 for like ever. I'm disappointed you all think that. I am an integral part of this thread, not some troll or the Zeppo. I provide much needed sarcasm.

I'm just kidding about Andrew being a champion.

I know those are your opinions, it just seems that you are arguing for the sake of it. For example, how could you not see that the point of the series was that Buffy was always alone? They stressed that in one way or another in each season.

I know season 7 was all screwy, which you can blame on Joss not being there and about 8 different EP. There wasn't one or two people that had an outline of the whole season, like the past. They got rid of Marti because of the outlash of season 6, even though it ruled. They should have sticked with her and Joss as the EPs, not 50 others too.

I lost my thought.
