Ok, so I've been reading several Buffy continuation series recently, and I've noticed one recurring theme: either Willow and Kennedy break up, or Kennedy dies and Willow is heartbroken. It's getting to be expected. So I want everybody here to answer this question: why does everybody hate Kennedy? And don't say "Because she sucks!" or "Because she's not Tara!" And keep in mind that there was not a lot of room for character development in season 7, and her relationship with Willow wasn't given a lot of time to develop.

I hate Kennedy because she is so annoying and loud. I hate how she feels the need to get involved in everything. Like when they would be talking about scooby stuff she would argue with them even though she hadn't even fought anything tougher than a Bringer and had no idea what she was talking about. Her ship with Willow sucks because she is so anti-Tara. I can't see Will being with someone so obnoxious. Joss specifically wanted it to be like that, but I don't think it works. Also I hate the whole "kick Buffy out" story in Empty Places and Touched and she was a big part of that. Her and Rona are the worst SITs.

I am watching Spin the Bottle now. Wes doing kung fu is soooo great.

I initially liked Kennedy because she was hot and a lesbian and that's a pretty fine combination. But then she decided to fucking talk down to Buffy and Buffy should have beat the shit out of her but she didn't which left it up to me to hate, hate, hate. She fucking thought she was a player when she was just a fucking background dancer. That's bullshit.

And if the word "ship" gets used as the short form for "relationship" again, I *will* show those pictures of Mole!

I wish there was one for Xander and Anya cause I'd use it.

I'm going to watch Apocalypse, Nowish tonight. Connor is too emo.

Xanya is pretty good. God, I'm so obsessed with that ship. I think about it like every hour.

Buffy and Angel shippers have a name, they are Bangel.

The Trial is on TNT now. The last test, where he has to die but then doesn't die because it was just about accepting death, is so cliche. There is no tension in that because you just KNOW that's what's going to happen. It always surprises me when something so cliche happens on Buffy or Angel. They're usually above that and often parody the scifi or horror cliches.

It's cliche because it builds to that point where you think Darla's going to be saved, but isn't. It plays off that optimist in all of us, giving us this fabled "hero's tale" and then crushing the intended outcome right in your hand. This is Angel, and it happens all the time.

Warren is on The Jury. I want to watch it just because it has Warren. Warren really needs to do something about the chest hair though.

BRING IT ONNNNNNNNNN.

Then you will realize why "Apocalypse, Nowish" is better than "Not Fade Away."

It just ended. And no. It's not as good as Not Fade Away. NFA is kind of unfair though, because it's the end. Part of what makes it so exciting is knowing that it really is the last battle ever and all that, not that the black thorn were actually well built up.

I loved the apocalypse though. Finally they actually mean apocalypse when they say it. Everyone leaving Sunnydale and the weird stuff before the Master raised are like the only times they really showed stuff like that.

But that means that "Chosen" is better than other episodes because it is the last. Just because it is the last episode, it doesn't mean it is the best.

No it doesn't. NFA did a good job being the last ep. Chosen didn't.

Plus Chosen has that one death scene.....

Yeah, but "Nowish" had THE BEAST!!

But it also has that whole "Cordy banging Connor" thing, and no matter how good an episode it is, if that happens--especially at the end--then the episode gets taken down about a million notches.

Just thinking about that... *shudder*

She seems to kiss him or someone else gross (eg BEAST~) like every ep in that arc. It just ruins it for me.

On Space, Jasmine was just born. Which means Cordy ain't making out with anyone, and I am happy.

Yeah, but that sets up W&H changing Connor's memory and Angel becoming the CEO of W&H.

Which is the awesomeness of season 5.

Buffy Animated Will Be Shopped Around For Distributors Next Month

From TV Guide Magazine June 20-26 - By Michael Ausiello - 2004-06-16th

News on the animated BUFFY series, which will be shopped around for potential distributors next month.

Drawing Power

The animated "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" series is back on the drawing board - with Sarah Michelle Gellar erased from the cast. According to sources, she chose not to reprise her role, leading creator Joss Whedon to recruit voice-over star Giselle Loren to mouth off alongside Alyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendan and Anthony Stewart Head in the pilot (potential distributors get a peek next month). In the meantime, story-line possibilities are endless. Says Whedon’s rep: "Buffy can now shrink to the size of an ant, and it doesn’t matter." That’s assuming she can find a really small stake.

make of this as you will.

Buffy is really unlikeable in season 7. She is way too into THE MISSION. Even Angel isn't that serious and broody. It totally ruins the spirit of what made Buffy Buffy.

Well, she had just gone through an incredibly dark period after being taken out of heaven and was really trying to find something to cling to on Earth. And she was facing the ultimate evil, plus what she was doing was being questioned the entire season, especially Spike and her leadership.

And I'd say Angel mid-Season two until Epiphany was acting in the exact same way.

It's boring. There's only so much "GIRLS WILL DIE. WE WILL DIE~!" I can take. It's especially annoying when the threat isn't real, it's just them hyping it up. It's like she sits here being all gloomy about how awful things are and how there's no chance they're going to live and it's just Bringers and a ghost for most of it. Buffy hasn't been Buffy since season 5 but in 6 it was interesting, in 7 it was just boring.
