The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Recommended Posts

And Mole, how could you hate on SPIKE~! like that. Show some respect for "In the Dark".

BTW, TNT reruns of Season 4 start tomorrow. Will they have Season 5 rights for afterward?

I don't know, it just didn't do much for me.

Plus the fact when Angel tackles the guy, they go into water and doesn't burn up. Sunlight travels through water.

I don't know, if they went to fire the water would just put them out. And wouldn't a certain amount of sunlight not penetrate the water, and slow the reaction? Man, I'm getting geeky with this.

I just remember not liking it that much. I think it was around the time I broke up with my girlfriend, so I wasn't in the best mood.

Brian, you should do your own list. It is actually pretty fun.

She had some movie on ABC Family.

Yeah, and "I Want to Marry Ryan Banks". But I mean besides that. She did a mockumentary called "Band Wagon" where she plays herself(Tom Lenk and Joss Whedon are also in it). It's been done for like a year and has had screenings, I guess they have't found a distributor yet.

Well that just sucks.

She is also trying to get a show on animal planet off the ground. That would be cool.

I'm going to be so sad when this thread closes. I can't find any other board on the net that matches this one. They're all inactive or too big, I feel like a stranger. I talk about Buffy so much I've got my BF into it, but he is only up to season 3. He needs to hurry up with catching up so I can start going on about Xanya.

It hasn't been picked up yet. She is still selling it through her website, even though it has gotten good reviews.

Doesn't make much sense to me.

Episode 8, "The Hunt: Part 2":

Scene 1:

<Connor leaves through the door of the lair. The samurai is waiting out the doors. Camera cuts to a slower frame as the two walk into the darkness.>

<Cut to Kent, who is going through weapons in a bag. Kent pulls out his axe.>

Eliana: So now is it alright for us to do something?

Kent: Me. Not us. You stay here.

Eliana: What do you mean? I’m as much a part of this as you are. Connor’s important to me too. He’s a hero.

Kent: Heroes don’t lose control. They don’t act out irrationally.

Eliana: Heroes fall to pressure, and Connor will come to his senses.

Kent: You always see the best in him.

Eliana: I see it because that’s what goes out there and does the right thing.

Kent: All the more reason you shouldn’t be seeing him like this. You’re too innocent for this world.

Eliana: Is that what you think?

Kent: It’s what I know. Connor may think it’s alright to take you out, but I know it’s not. Quite frankly, Connor’s shown lately that he doesn’t have the discretion to make those kind of judgments. Who knows what kind of trouble he’s attracting out there.

<A monster is running down the side of the street. It’s orange, almost human looking, with shaggy ears. It pulls around a corner, but suddenly Connor jumps down in front of it. Ronin runs up from behind.>

Demon: Look guys, I’m not here to cause trouble or anything. In fact, this whole death and destruction isn’t really my cup of tea. I’m more of the capitalist-type, and I’d really like to get out of here.

Connor: Are you a demon?

Demon: I might pass for a human around Chernobyl.

<Connor punches the demon in the face, who falls to the ground and spits out blood from its mouth.>

Connor: I asked you a question. It’d be nice to see some courtesy extended around here.

<The demon looks up from the ground, slithering his speech.>

Demon: You know what I am.

<Connr whips his katana from its sheath and spins it, bringing it down quickly on the demon’s back.>

Connor: As long as you know your place.

<Connor pulls his blade from the beast’s back, wiping it clean with his hand. He stares at his hand, with a sadistic smile across his face. Fade to intro.>

Scene 2:

<Connor is pacing, behind him is Ronin, cross-legged and drinking tea.>

Ronin: It’s good to see you’re adapting. The hunt brings out the best in all of us.

Connor: If that’s your best, then you should start packing up.

Ronin: You’re insolent. A good quality in some, such as myself. It doesn’t quite suit you.

Connor: I see you’re having fun taking your time.

Ronin: The killing has made you irritable and impatient.

Connor: You’ve made me impatient, sipping your tea and sitting in here while the problem is running wild.

Ronin: There is nothing wrong with a little tea.

Connor: There is if we’re not doing anything.

Ronin: You need to relax once in a while. The tea calms the mind and the body. They both need to be replenished after a day of work.

Connor: You and Kent and your tea.

Ronin: The Englishman. They know their tea. And one must always admire the job they did with China.

Connor: Are we here to talk or to kill?

Ronin: We are here to fight.

Connor: Is there a difference?

Ronin: No, just semantics.

Connor: You can have your break. But you of all people should understand that these beasts don’t deserve that kind of an opportunity.

<Connor walks out. Ronin smiles after he takes a sip, then puts his cup face down on the table. He stands up, grabs his katana from its holder, and walks out the door, shutting it on the camera>

<Cut to Kent, who tries shutting the door but it’s caught in mid swing by Eliana, who opens it all the way.>

Eliana: So what are you planning on doing? I mean, how are you going to control him if it comes down to it?

Kent: I’m not going to worry about that. He’ll see the error of his ways.

Eliana: And what if it comes to something else? What happens when he needs to be shown his errors?

Kent: It won’t.

Eliana: He’s too strong for you. You’re going to need back up.

Kent: That’s what he thinks.

Eliana: I’m going with you. I can talk to him.

<The crossbow spring from under Kent’s coat arm, extended out toward Eliana’s jugular.>

Kent: Not going to happen, sweetie. Just get back inside and sit down until I get back.

<Eliana, nervously, looks at the pointed bolt then back at Kent.>

Eliana: I know you’re not going to fire that.

<Kent pulls a gun from his pocket, firing a tranquilizer into Eliana’s leg.>

Kent: You’re right. I’m sorry about that.

<Eliana looks down, almost ready to cry.>

Eliana: What? Why...

Kent: I hate doing this. But there’s nothing out there for you, nothing to do. It’s my duty, and I don’t want you to get hurt out there.

Eliana: But you didn’t have to…

Kent: It’s okay. You’re just going to take a nice long nap.

<Kent reloads the crossbow and the tranquilizer gun back in its holder.>

Eliana: Connor…

Kent: Unfortunately, I can’t trust him, especially around you. You saw what was in his eyes, too. You’ll get your chance to help out, don’t worry.

<Eliana begins to fall as Kent catches here, dragging her to the cot. He strokes her hair away from her face, then turns, grabbing the double-headed axe and walking out the door. He turns before closing.>

Kent: I’m sorry.

<Door shuts, cut to black.>

Scene 3:

<A robed figure walks down the steps, as Rudy is lying on the coach, feet up and a glass of white wine in hand.>

Robed Figure: I see you’re in a better mood.

Rudy: Couldn’t be better. Solved our little problem.

Robed Figure: Would have been better had you not hit me first.

Rudy: Playing the numbers game this time.

Robed Figure: You’ve tried just about everything else.

Rudy: The legion is a good choice. Out-of-towners.

Robed Figure: And what if they fail.

Rudy: Always the pessimist.

Robed Figure: With the quality of your work, it’s kind of expected.

Rudy: I could have sworn I heard you trying to be critical of the guy you haven’t even paid yet to do your dirty work.

Robed Figure: You seem to forget we’ve fused with more power, kept you protected from the other creatures. You became scum when they entered this plain. We’ve made sure you stay alive. All this power, going to waste.

Rudy: I don’t plan on wasting it.

<The robed figure pours himself a glass of chardonnay, inhaling the aroma and checking it.>

Robed Figure: Good.

<Cut to Kent, entering the streets at night alone. He peers out, looking around, his face reflecting a little reservation about heading out.>

<Cut to Connor and Ronin, battling against two demons, red with scaly skin. Connor blocks a right and left, tossing the demon overhead. Ronin is having a little more trouble, having a kick blocked and being tossed toward the other monster. Connor leaps forward with a punch, then jabs his katana into the demon’s gut, causing it to dissipate slowly. The other demon slugs Ronin over the neck as he tries to get up, sending him to his back hard. The demon tries another, but Ronin catches, and uses his foot to flip him over and roll through. Ronin holds on with his left while unloading four punches to the face, then slits the demon’s throat.>

Connor: You’re slow.

Kent, v.o.: At least you got something right today.

Ronin: The Englishman.

<Cut back to show Kent, axe in hand.>

Connor: What are you doing here? I though you were afraid to come out at night. You’re not strong enough to hang around out here.

Kent: And he is. But let’s face the facts here Connor, you’re out of control, and this whole act needs to stop.

Connor: I could have sworn this was what you wanted. They sent you here to make sure I did things right.

Kent: We can talk about this back at home Connor.

Connor: Job comes first Kent.

Ronin: He doesn’t want you to succeed out here. He’s going to handcuff you again.

Kent: I’m going to make sure you do things right. I’m going to help you out Connor, not string you along. Eliana and I care about you. We need to be on the same page, working together. This is not a problem you can solve by being reckless.

<Suddenly five figures swoop down, with three chains knocking away the two katanas and the axe.>

Vamp #1: Maybe it’s a problem you can’t solve.

<Cut to black.>

Scene 4:

<The gang of five vampires has circled Kent, Ronin, and Connor.>

Vamp #1:

<Suddenly one of the vampires coughs, as a long stick comes out from the heart area. The other vampires look over, as the vapire turns to dust, its chain hitting the ground. A scabby, tall, strong ogre-like demon with gray skin stands over.>

Ogre: Vam-pyre. Hungry.

Vamp #1: Goddamn.

<The vamps splinter off, with two (including vamp #1) going after Connor and one each after Ronin. Connor blocks consecutive punches from both sides, then jump, blocking a kick from each side with his legs. Kent is wrestling with another vampire, and Ronin is getting beat to the punch. Focus on Connor, who suddenly whips one of the vampires into the leader, and shoots a stake into it, dusting it. The lead vampire grabs the stake as it falls from mid-air, trying to stab at Connor. Connor pulls the arm across and aims another shot, but gets whipped into the ogre, who grabs Connor by the throat. He holds Connor high.>

<Cut to Kent, who has his vampire by the hair and arm. Kent looks over at Connor, but gets spun over by the vampire, who hits him with a knee to the stomach, sending him reeling. The samurai is following his vampire, who is staggering after getting a punch.>

<Cut back to Connor, who is trying to pry the ogre’s fingers off his neck. Connor hits a punch to the face. The ogre’s head snaps back, but he just turn his head slowly and spits on Connor, laughing.>

Ogre: Demon.

<Suddenly Connor is enraged, trying to make the ogre fall with punches to the face and mid-section. The ogre keeps on laughing, holding Connor up further with one arm, and hitting him with a right cross that knocks him silly for a moment.>

Kent: Connor, be smart. It’s not about power, it’s about control.

<Connor looks at Kent through the corner of his eye, then moves his eyes, looking around for an opening. He lifts his arm and shoots a stake between the thumb and pointer of the ogre’s left hand. Connor lifts the thumbs up with each hand and uses the blood to lubricate his escape, sliding to the ground. Connor backs off, missing an ogre punch, and runs over to a fire escape. Connor bounces off the wall and lands on the bottom step of the escape. The ogre punches, but misses sending his hand through one of the holes. Connor swings through an upper gap, falling down to the ground and pulling the arm through. The ogre tries to pull his arm out, but it’s lodged in. Connor sprawls after the double-headed axe, which the lead vamp also grabs for. Connor punches him, and pulls the axe away. The ogre tries pulling the ladder off, but Connor throws the axe, spiraling the end and the pointed handle into the ogre’s hand and straight through to the brick wall of the building. He delivers a side kick and round house to the lead vamp. The ogre backhands him as he turns around, and starts to pull the axe away from his hand.>

<Cut to Kent, who is blocking punches from the vamp. He suddenly grabs the arm, turning it and wrenching. He pulls a knife from his pocket, and tosses it at the ogre’s free hand.>

<Cut back to the ogre, who’s writhing in pain. Connor turns to face him, and shoots a stake at each eyeball of the ogre. Causing it to fall. Connor stumbles, and the lead vamp tackles him from behind.>

<Cut to the Ronin, who’s banging the vampire’s head against a wall.>

Ronin: You will suffer for all the harm you have caused.>

<Ronin continues to bang the vampire against the wall.>

<Cut to Connor, who’s punches are slower, getting blocked and returned. Connor gets knocked to the ground.>

Connor: Help!

<Cut to Kent, who’s blocking blows from the vamp.>

Kent: Time’s up.

<Kent spins, grabbing an arm and thrusting a stake in the heart with ease.>

Vamp #2: You’ve been toying with me.

<The vamp dusts.>

<Cut to Connor, who tries a punch but get a right cross to his face before he can connect. Connor spins from his knees to his back. The vampire straddles him, licking his lips.>

Vamp #1: You’re going to make a good meal. Nice strong blood.

<The vamp bends, then suddenly pulls back in pain. It dusts, revealing Kent. Kent offers his hand, allowing Connor to lean on him. He grabs Connor’s arm, then pulls a stake from the shooter.>

Kent: Ronin!

<Ronin turns, and the stake deposits itself on the vamp’s chest, dusting it.>

Ronin: You interfered.

<Kent pulls the axe from the ogre’s hand and slices its head. He turns the head toward Ronin.>

Kent: Not a step further.

Ronin: Such audacity. You interfered.

Kent: As did you. You’re not needed around here. Take your bloody self-righteous attitude and get out.

Ronin: I have a duty here, but neither of you are my allies.

Kent: I don’t want to see you near Connor again.

<Ronin turns and leaves. Connor looks up.>

Connor: You saved me.

Kent: You needed to be saved.

Scene 5:

<Kent comes out of the bed room, but Connor’s face is in his hands. Kent sits next to Connor, who lifts his head.>

Kent: You don’t need to worry about her. She’s still asleep.

Connor: I was really possessed out there. I put you all in danger. I mean, I felt totally in control, like I could do whatever I wanted, but my mind wasn’t quite there. I was on cruise control, or maybe kill control.

Kent: It happens.

Connor: Not like this.

Kent: I know.

Connor: I mean, there was something to prove out there, something to be left on the proverbial field. Seeing him out there, I thought I was missing out on something vital.

Kent: You had nothing to prove to him.

Connor: More like I needed to prove to myself.

Kent: How so?

Connor: He called me a demon, and something inside of me snapped. I needed to get in on the kill, and not just sit back.

Kent: Connor, you need to realize that there’s a difference between what we do, fighting, and killing. When you are out there fighting, you’re there for a cause. You know what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Killing is mechanical; it’s a reflex in the species, in most species. It’s a weakness for those who cannot control their impulses and instincts. Humans need to fight, it’s what makes them what they are out here. The hunt, the kill, those are just a form of bloodlust. You’re better than that

Connor: He called me a demon, though. I felt like I needed to prove myself, that I wasn’t what he said. I still don’t know what I am.

Kent: None of that matters, and you need to understand that. What you are doesn’t matter, it’s what you choose to do that makes the difference. Demon, vampire, human, it’s the choices that you make that build character. With your power, you could just as easily be a ruthless murderer. Or a florist. Choices, Connor, choices.

Canadians, Chosen is on in 19 minutes on Space.

It seems like all my posts are discussing my hate for season 7. Well, at least now it is done on Space and we get into season 1. Hooray!

I've been watching season 1 Angel on DVD lately. Wesley is the king. Alexis Denisof is just a great actor. One of my favorite moments of his is in "She" with his dancing during the party scene. Wesley > *.

I have Chosen like memorized now. Seen it 50 times.

She has to be my least favorite Angel ep ever. It's just soo boring. A shame such a cool beginning is on such a crappy ep. I also like the part where Angel poses as an musuem employee.

Yeah, I watch it on tape all the time. Ever since FX showed it last time.

I also listen to the final battle music on CD and daydream about the Buffy/Spike final scene. It's so touching.

And I used to read the shooting script all the time. It's actually better than the real thing. Seeing Joss describe everything makes things more clear.

And I hate parts of it very much, but it's still the finale. Even though I can't get over Anya dying and other things, it's still the last time I will ever see the scoobies. I am like obssessed with it because of that. No matter how bad it is or what I think of it, it's still really important.

If people are still reading these, can you guys leave some feedback please. Thanks.

Episode 9: "Rudy"

Scene 1:

<Rudy is fixing his tie in the mirror. He’s whistling a tune. He sprays some cologne on his wrist, then rubs his wrists together. He takes a whiff of the scent, closing his eyes and inhaling deeply. A member of the Order of Soraska walks up from behind him out of the darkness.>

Robed Figure #3: Getting ready for the prom?

Rudy: There’ll definitely be a dance, but no longing holds or kissing. Just a world of hurt and pain. Kinda like what’s going on outside.

Robed Figure #3: I hope you’re prepared for all of this.

Rudy: Couldn’t be more. I’ve been watching this kid go at it. I’ve seen his stuff. And I know that I can take him.

<Rudy pops a pill in his mouth.>

Rudy: These things work pretty well.

Robed Figure #3: So, our little henchman has grown up.

Rudy: In more ways then one.

<Rudy shadow boxes in the mirror, quick as could be.>

Robed Figure #3: Do you have a plan for tonight?

<Rudy walks past him, slips into a jacket for his suit, and opens the door.>

Rudy: Kill. If you want to get the job done right…well, you know the old saying.

<Rudy grabs a cane, walks out the door, leaving it open.>

Robed Figure #3: I was hoping you’d say that.

Scene 2:

<Kent is over the stove, stirring something in a pan. Eliana and Connor are sitting at a table across from each other.>

Connor: We should be getting ready to go soon. I can smell the sun rising.

Eliana: Isn’t that kind of a vampire thing? Does seem to be a talent of theirs, if I get things. You’re not going to start drinking blood, are you?

Connor: No, and it seems there’s a short supply of that out there. There’s definitely been fewer vampires in the tunnels lately.

Kent: Connor was born of vampires Eliana, he isn’t one.

Eliana: Just trying to get prepared here. A lot of stuff to take in. Studying demonology not exactly my strong point.

Connor: We’re wasting time in here. Dawn is perfect to go hunting these creatures. We need to get out there as soon as possible, and use the sun as much as possible. It’s not going to stay up for us.

Kent: Connor, we have a lot of time. We don’t need you rushing into things.

Connor: You can let the demons run wild if you want.

<Connor begins to get up from his chair.>

Kent: Connor, sit down. We’re going out together. And we’re having this meal together. We’re going to be working as a party from now on.

Connor: I can hold my own.

Kent: You can’t handle yourself, though. So take a seat Connor, we’re going to do this together.

<Kent dishes out scrambled eggs on paper plates. He lightly warms bread over the remaining fire. Connor takes his seat.>

<Cut to Connor walking down the street, broad sword over his shoulder. Kent follows, clutching the sheath of his katana at his side. Eliana trails, looking around with her crossbow. A demon jumps at them; green and on all fours, with spikes from his head to the middle of his back. Connor tosses him away. An arrow from Eliana misses as it jumps at Connor. Connor and Kent swing their blades, both taking off the head as the body lays slump on the ground.>

Kent: See, we work together.

<Rudy turns a corner, clapping. He has his cane under his armpit.>

Rudy: Bravo! Bravo!

Connor: Looks like I have a new playmate.

Rudy: I’ve come to do more than play, young man. I’ve had my eye on you for quite a while.

Connor: I’m flattered.

Rudy: I know your strengths. I know your weaknesses. I know you have quite the past. And I know you’ve managed to take out some of my best assassins over the last few weeks.

Connor: So you’re the one who’s been trying to kill me.

Rudy: See, that’s where you’re wrong. I’m the one who’s going to kill you.

<Rudy pulls the cane from under his armpit and hurls it at Connor. Connor pushes Kent with one arm and pulls Eliana away with the other. The cane braises Connor’s arm, causing Connor to drop his sword, as the camera follows it to the wall, where only the handle remains visible.>

Scene 3:

<Rudy charges very quickly. He throws a right at Connor, who brushes it to the side, pushing Eliana away. Connor gets hit with a left cross and falls to a knee. Eliana and Kent move to the perimeter, circling the two fighters as Kent whips out his mini crossbow. Connor shoots a stake but it is caught by Rudy.>

Rudy: Didn’t I tell you I was prepared? You’ve got to work on that listening thing, among others.

<Rudy tries to spin and backhand the stake like an ice pick, but Connor catches his arm, tossing him over his hip as Rudy spins and lands on his feet doing a little spin. Connor tries an uppercut but Rudy blocks down with both his palms. Rudy kicks but Connor pulls his foot to him. Connor punches Rudy in the stomach, sending him reeling a few steps. Connor stands back up, standing sideways and glaring at Rudy. Rudy takes off his jacket, folding it and hanging it on a pipe.>

Rudy: I see I’m overdressed for the occasion.

Connor: Not really. You’d make quite the corpse.

<Connor charges forward. He throws a big left hook that’s ducked, followed by a left jab that’s blocked. Connor blocks a Rudy kick by stepping on his foot, but Rudy squats down and delivers a clubbing blow to Connor’s ribs with his palm. Connor stumbles backward, clutching his stomach. Rudy charges into Connor and throws a right, which is blocked. Connor tries a series of punches, but they all get blocked, which ends with him getting his in his left eye. Another series of punches ends in the same fashion. Connor starts with a kick, which lands, but Rudy spins and backhanding Connor across the jaw. As Connor drops back, Rudy just rubs the back of his hand.>

Rudy: Thick skull, not much working inside.

<Kent tosses the katana to Connor. Kent and Eliana shoot arrows at Rudy but he catches one in each hand. Connor twirls the katana, cutting one of the arrows in half. Rudy kicks the sword out of Connor’s hand, then flips the arrow, holding it like an ice pick. Kent attacks at Rudy, but gets a punch blocked and a headbutt sends him reeling. Rudy is shaking his head, trying to regroup. Connor charges but gets tossed to the side, getting slashed in the arm in the process. Kent crawls away to a grate, using a piece of pipe to pry it open. Rudy walks over. Rudy pulls Connor up by the hair with both hands, then starts punching him over his midsection. Rudy gets ready to stab Connor but Eliana runs over, grabbing his arm. Rudy hits her in the face. Connor leaps forward and lands a series of punches to Rudy’s mid-section. Rudy steps backward, a hand on his stomach.>

Rudy: That…hurt.

<Connor charges forward but gets caught by the throat and thrown across the room.>

Rudy: But not enough.

<Kent grabs Connor, shoving him into the open grate. Eliana crawls over, as Kent motions for her to go in. Rudy is pacing over, showing he is in no hurry. Kent shoots a final arrow as he slides in. Rudy ducks as it flies by.>

Rudy: Well, I’m not going to follow you into a sewer in a new suit.

<Rudy takes his coat, slides it on, and leaves out the front door.>

<The Order of Soraska is meeting in a dimly lit warehouse. One of the members is spreading a dust around a symbol, with three equilateral triangles transcribed within a circle. Three books are lined up on the outside of the circle, where each straight edge of the triangles. The other two members are outside the circle, talking.>

Robed Figure #2: It’s not the same around here without the Dodgers in town.

Robed Figure #3: Always was more of a Giants fan anyways. Polo Grounds. Candlestick. And that beautiful new SBC park.

Robed #2: Be nice if the actually won something, in say, the last fifty years.

<Robed figure #1 puts down his fur pouch and crosses his arms, with a stern look on his face.>

Robed Figure #1: Can you guys stop arguing about baseball and help over here.

Robed Figure #2: You’re the one who couldn’t keep the human preoccupied. Emphasis on the human.

Robed Figure #1: He was a fighter.

Robed Figure #2: Still human.

Robed Figure #1: Fighter.

Robed Figure #2: Human!

Robed Figure #3: Duck season, rabbit season, duck season, rabbit season. If you don’t get this ready, we’re all going to get killed. Because that kid is not going to wait around to give us a second chance. How much more do you think that the demon can handle?

Robed Figure #1: It’s not going to matter. Time is almost up.

Scene 4:

<Kent is bandaging Connor, who’s lying on the table. Eliana is sitting on the chair, holding her face but without cuts or bruises. Kent has a slight cut under his eyes. Connor struggles to get up. Kent put a hand on his chest.>

Kent: Easy does it Connor. Live to fight another day and all. You need to rest, and we need to get ready for the next confrontation.

Connor: We left weapons behind. The broad sword. The katana. We need to retrieve them.

Kent: You saw what this guy can do. And you’re injured. We’re all hurting right now. There’s nothing we can do at the moment.

Connor: I can beat him. I took out all his henchmen. I can take him.

Kent: No, not right now. That demon was too strong for what he was. He’s obviously been altered.

<Kent heads to his desk and opens up his book. Connor leans on his side.>

Connor: What do you mean, altered?

<Kent carries an open book.>

Kent: See, Crozarn Demon. Not quite known for strength, more as a scavenger. Definitely not top of the food chain. This guy is an underling, at least he’s taking orders from someone. He’s working for someone with power. You better lie back down and get some rest.

Eliana: So there’s someone out there who’s stronger than that?

Kent: There’s no other way to look at things. It might be this Order of Soraska, the group that was after you in your mind. They may have just been setting the table, letting this guy do the dirty work. There are lots of other demons out there that have been edging in on the new territory. There are remnants of the law firm clutching to its place. And who knows how much attention we’ve garnered. But he’s definitely getting his stuff from somewhere else.

Eliana: But there’s no where to go around here.

Kent: Someone’s still has shop open around here.

<Kent mulls over what he said. He puts the book back down on the desk and grabs his coat. He grabs the double-headed axe. He begins to head out the door. Connor looks at Eliana, pausing for a moment, as Kent closes up behind.>

Connor: Shopkeeper!

<Cut to Rudy with a member of the Order of Soraska in an alley.>

Robed Figure #3: You should have killed him.

Rudy: And ruin this suit. You’re kidding me.

Robed Figure #3: Why do you continue to fail?

Rudy: You’ve gotta have a little faith. There’s nothing wrong with toying with the kill. He’ll die eventually, just not immediately.

Robed Figure #3: Are you going to give him time to recover?

Rudy: Might as well. It’s not going to make a difference. You should have seen me going at it. He thought he had me and I was all like “get back down”.

Robed Figure: Just make sure you put him down.

<Cut to Kent walking the sewers. He turns the corner and notices a pack of people walking in his direction.>

Leader: Happy meal on legs. I didn’t know there were any of you still around.

<Kent continues walking, but stops a few feet short as the vampires block the way.>

Kent: I don’t have time for you today.

<Leader vamps out.>

Leader: I think you mean you don’t have time left.

<Kent pulls his axe out from behind his back, swinging it and slicing his head off, dusting him. The others charge as the camera fades out.>

<Cut to Connor and Eliana, still at the lair. Connor is sitting up, directing Eliana as she grabs weapons.>

Connor: I’m going to need the spear. If we run into this kroaz guy again, I’m going to have to be armed.

Eliana: I’m not a nurse or anything Connor, but don’t you want to give yourself some rest after you hurt yourself. Especially if you’re jumping right back in to the fire.

Connor: Kent’s going after the shopkeeper. And he’s going out there alone. Either way, things don’t look so great, and I’m going to have to be someone’s bodyguard.

Eliana: What about me?

Connor: You stay here. You’re safe. And I’m going to make things safer.

<Connor gets up from the table, grimaces as he lands on his feet, then heads towards Eliana to grab the weapons she picked out.>

<Kent is walking along the middle of the street, axe in hand, a little stained.>

Rudy: You really have to work on not attracting attention to yourself. It’s not safe around here; there are lots of bad people that might get to you.

Kent: That’s what I was aiming for.

Rudy: And here I was thinking you’d be heading to the shopkeeper. Trying to find out his secrets. I’d give you a clue, but then again, I don’t have one when it comes to him. And all this time, you were just looking for little ole me.

Kent: And here we are.

Rudy: So I get the boy, I see where the girl’s coming from, but really, what’s your story? You’re a little old to be tagging along with the young folks. But I guess someone wants you chaperoning the boy, making sure he makes it. Problem is, he’s going to die. In essence, you’ve already failed, which is going to make me killing you all the easier to accept. You were destined to fail.

<Rudy charges at Kent. Rudy throws a right which gets blocked by the handle of the axe. Kent spins and swings but misses. He blocks another right by using the head of the axe as a shield against the fist. Rudy block an overhead chop with a jump kick and then hits a side kick on Kent, who drops the axe. Kent blocks a jumping double axe handle smash with his left forearm and delivers a blow to Rudy’s gut. Rudy tries a left-right-left combination of quick crosses, but Kent blocks all of them and snaps a forearm to the face. Kent follows with a big cut to the stomach that sends Rudy staggering back. Rudy starts to laugh.>

Rudy, surprised: You’ve been holding back. The boy doesn’t know, does he? You better hope you’re hiding more than that.

<Rudy walks back and tries two rights but both get blocked. Kent hits a left jab but Rudy grabs him by the neck before he can finish. He lifts him by the neck. He brings him in for a headbut, then tosses him through the wood door of a building. Rudy picks up the axe as he enters a hallway.>

Rudy: Told you so.

<Rudy lifts up the axe. As he swings down, it gets caught. A backhand sends him flying past Kent. Kent looks up to see Connor, standing in the doorway.>

Scene 5:

<Connor grasps the axe in his hand. He helps Kent to his feet. Rudy stands back up.>

Rudy: How cute. Did you come to save the old man or did you come to save the shopkeeper?

Connor: Neither. I came for you.

<Kent looks at Connor for a moment, who helps Kent to his feet. Rudy charges at both and tries a left. Kent blocks and Connor hits a right. Rudy spins away.>

Rudy: A little different approach. Teamwork. What a concept. Your efforts, though noble and all that other bull, are futile.

<Connor throws the axe at Rudy, missing, as he and Kent charge. Rudy leads with a right backhand, which is caught by Connor. Rudy tries a left jab but is tied up by Kent. They flip Rudy using his arms, and he lands flat on his back. He kicks at each of the, sending them staggering, and kips-up. Connor kicks him in the back and he flies towards the wall, hands first. Kent charges but he elbows him. He throws Connor back first into the wall, then chops him across the chest. Kent grabs him by the head and throws him into the wall. Connor jumps up the wall and hits a spin kick on Rudy’s head. Rudy falls back. Kent tries a hook but Rudy catches his arm and knees him in the face, knocking him to the ground. Connor and Rudy trade punches to the face. Rudy swings once and hits a wood pillar, knocking it off its foundation. Rudy blocks a Connor punch and hits him hard, then another to the back of his neck. He stands over both fallen warriors.>

Rudy: People just don’t listen. I tell them I have things handled. I tell you I’m going to kill you. Well now, I prove myself true.

<Rudy reaches for the axe, and pulls it overhead. He suddenly stops, as the camera unfocuses to show Eliana has shot an arrow in his back. Rudy hangs the axe with one hand and bends over to pull out the arrow. Connor arises, shooting a stake below his eye. Rudy drops the axe. With his right hand, he slashes it across. He hits a kick to the head, causing even more bleeding. Rudy watches as the blood runs down. He staggers, stumbling to a knee and getting up, then falling again and crawling over to the wall. He heaves himself into a window and falls to the outside. Connor starts to get up as Eliana rushes over.>

Eliana: Are you okay?

Connor: Yeah…I need to finish him.

<Kent grabs him.>

Kent: He won’t last another minute. He’s dying. We need to get underground soon. The day has fallen.

<Eliana helps Connor up as Kent looks on, slowly getting up on his own.>

Scene 6:

<Connor is putting his axe in its holder. He loosens the latch on his stake shooter, slipping it off his arm. Kent walks up, standing next to Connor. He loosens the latch on his mini-crossbow and slips it off his arm.>

Connor: Is it over?

Kent: The assassins, the mind games, yeah. We’ve taken out the kingpin.

Connor: So we can move on right. Chapter closed.

Kent: A lot of chapters in this city, unfortunately.

Connor: It’s never really over than is it?

Kent: That’s the thing about this fight. Good and evil, never really going to end. As long as people get to live their lives, make their decisions, it doesn’t ever end. We still have demons to fight every day, sometimes their out there and sometimes their in here. <Kent points at his head> And we still have this city to take back. But we’ll break a piece here and a piece there, and eventually we’ll get it done. But our job is never really over.

Connor: I’m going to end this though.

Kent: Is it possible?

<Connor leaves slowly through the entrance and out of the picture. Eliana turns into the entrance way, hidden earlier by the wall she was leaning up against.>

Eliana: You really don’t need to be so ‘glass almost empty’ about things all the time. It’s really not healthy, for you or him.

Kent: Unfortunately, we live in a city where the glass is generally empty.

Eliana: But it’s getting better.

<Kent stares at his reflection in the double-headed axe for a moment.>

Kent: We can only hope.

<Rudy stumbles down the side of alley, putting his weight up against it as he moves. He leaves a trail of the blood, dripping from his nose and a cut above his eye. He continues moving until he reaches a warehouse door. He bangs on the front of the door, then slides the door open. He falls to his feet and knees, in front of someone’s shoes. The room is very dark. He drags himself up the fabric, as the camera slowly pans up with him to show Robed Figure #3. Rudy is gasping for air as he tries to find words.>

Rudy: Thank god it’s you. He was…too much. There was nothing I could…too strong. Help me.

Robed Figure #3: So you failed.

Rudy: I can try again. Give me another chance…need more time…prepare.

Robed Figure #3: Should have killed him earlier, like I told you.

Rudy: I made a mistake.

Robed Figure #3: Well, it’s not like we expected you to succeed anyway.

<He jabs the blade in Rudy’s stomach, as Rudy takes a last gasp of breath. When Rudy begins to collapse, Robed Figure #3 grabs his tie near his collar. He holds him for a second, staring into his blank eyes, then turns and drops him. He falls in the middle of the symbol. The other two robed figures are already in their spots with a book facing in front of them. Robed Figure #3 takes his place along the circle; then they begin to chant. The sides begin to glow with smoke rising. Cut to black.>

Uh, no. Nothing is better than Xanya sex. That is true love. They are soul mates. Anya discovered love because of Xander. That's so beautiful. They were made for each other. They are just perfect.

The Spike/Anya shippage is good though. I like it in Where The Wild Things Are. Plus that ep has Anya being paranoid that her ship with Xander is over, which is always really funny.

Anya is not in hell. She is in heaven, she died a hero(champion!).

I'm sure Xander still thinks about her every day.

Guest Brian

Here's something to ponder about this last season:

What memories did Angel just totally remove when he signed on? We know about Connor, but what of the Beast or Jasmin or Professor Seidel?

So did Spike, but he was still going to hell. And Anya didn't stop an apocalypse, so she's going to Extra Hell (Bunnies)

HAHA! YES! Lets taunt the wacky Anya fan by pointing out that she died every 5 seconds! GOOD IDEA!!!!!

She is not going to hell! She helped stop multiple apocalypses. She provided key information to the scoobies in Graduation Day Part 2. She provided morale support to Xander in Primeval. She fought the crazy people by swingy a baseball bat wildley around in Gift. She also came up with the ideas that ended up beating Glory. Her information and teleportation skills where keys to stopping Willow in Grave. In Chosen she fought off Bringers and even took out two ubies with her sword fighting ability(that came from like no where). She did her part. What do you expect from her? She's not a warrior. She is more support for the group, providing intel and stuff.

It's not fair that she would be eternally punished for her vengeance demon days. She was young and confused then. She didn't understand love or men. It was a mistake. She learned that lesson and changed. She was redeemed. She deserves to be judged by her actions as a human. Everybody always puts over Spike and Faith as the big redemption arcs in Buffy but it's actually all about Anya. She turned good in 1999! Long before either of them even considered being good. She has earned her place in heaven. I am sure right now she is chilling out with Tara, both of them looking down on Xander and Will.

The whole memories thing is really messed up. If Wes doesn't remember kidnapping Connor then wouldn't he wonder about his neck injury and why he's now a badass?
