Guest Brian Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I marked for evil hand. I used to watch this episode alot, and I still mark for that speech.
Mole Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I'm watching "Darla" right now and I noticed that one of the producers was Shawn Ryan. The same guy who created The Shield. Learn something new everyday.
Guest Brian Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 You never noticed that before? How badass tweener Angel is kinda reminiscent of Vic.
Guest Brian Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Mole, are you getting in on the DVD club? Anyways, Dead End is effective the end of the major part of Season Two. It really concludes Lindsay's arc, which is pretty much all that's left from the original storylines,
Anya Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I wonder what would have happened had Julie Benz been able to do the original story. And it's too bad they didn't do the original finish of Reprise....even though there'd be no Connor.

Anya Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 The Plyea arc came about because Julie Benz couldn't work the end of the season. So they blew that off in Reprise and Ephihany. The original idea Tim Minear had for writing Darla off in S2 was for Angel to stake her while having sex and go "Was it good for you?".
Mole Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 That was just an idea, it wasn't concrete. And no Brian, no DVD club for me. I just don't have the time.

Guest Brian Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 And no Brian, no DVD club for me. I just don't have the time. You couldn't spare 40 minutes every other day. Shame on you. No soup for you.
Jericholic82 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I did see pans on thanksgiving morning, right before the macys parade came on. still enjoy it. especially giles and willow arguing over indians and land and Buffys reaction to xander/anyas arrival "You didnt bring rolls?" and anya is gold in this one Anya: Why isnt Xander digging? I came to see him dig (xander starts to dig) Look at his muscles, soon heel be sweating, Im imagining myself having sex with him again Buffy: wow imaginary Xander is a machine anyone notice anyas speaking tone dramatically different early on? especially in this one, her tone seemed to change with her accepting herself as a human again and becoming more cheery. one more quote for the road Anya: Well The syphilis will make you go blind and insane but it wont kill you....the smallpox will though Xander (later on) can we get back to the topic of my new syphilis?
Mole Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 And no Brian, no DVD club for me. I just don't have the time. You couldn't spare 40 minutes every other day. Shame on you. No soup for you. Yeah I could. I just don't want to write that much about each episode, I'm too lazy. Okay, what episode we on now?
Guest Brian Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Belonging for tomorrow, Dead End yesterday and today.
Anya Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 anyone notice anyas speaking tone dramatically different early on? especially in this one, her tone seemed to change with her accepting herself as a human again and becoming more cheery. Yeah, I've noticed. It changes throughout the entire series. In The Wish she sounds like a normal person, then in Dopplegang Land and the rest of S3 and all of S4 she sounds robotic and blunt. Then in S5 and 6 she is all cheerful and overly hyper(which is my favorite). Finally in S7 she always sounds really bitter and sarcastic, but almost normal. She could pass for a human in S7. Except for a few excetions where they make her say something goofy just for comedy. Xander is a good teacher on how to become human. He never gets credit for having help taken a vengeance demon and turning her into a champion. I don't like her attitude in S7. She pisses me off a few times. That goes for most of the group though. Buffy, Willow and Giles are also obnoxious. I hate how the family aspect was ruined in that year. They barely seem to get along.
Guest Brian Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Xander turned Halfrek into a champion?
Anya Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Yeah, she is. Xander should be proud. I wonder what kind of memorial service they had for those who died in the final battle. Also, I was thinking, since Sunnydale was buried and they hadn't packed things, nobody has anything to remember the fallen scoobies. No pictures or things of Joyce, Tara or Jenny. That's so sad.
Guest Brian Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Yeah, she is. Xander should be proud. I'm assuming you're answering me. Halfrek being sacrificed for Anya must have made her a champion.
Anya Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 No, it just makes D'Hoffryn a jerk. Hallie didn't even know what was going on, and she was evil then.
Mole Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Belonging for tomorrow, Dead End yesterday and today. Watching both tonight, well atleast "Dead End." YOU HAPPY?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?
BorneAgain Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Well at least we can all agree that Clem is a champion.
Anya Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 As far as we know, yes, Kennedy is. Rona too. Blame Willow. What's so hard to see about Anya? She has helped save the world countless times. Maybe not in the way Buffy or Angel do, but she doesn't have their strength. Instead she provides support and information, but is still an estential part of the group. If you don't think she is a champion then whatever, but she is clearly at least a hero and that's something. To go from being a demon to a key member in preventing the apocalypse(4 different apocalypses at that!) is a great acomplishment. Xander should be so proud of her. In memory of a great champion.... 862-2003
Mole Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Okay, she is a hero. I comepletly agree with you there. But not a champion, what-so-ever.
Mole Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Oh and there is a big mistake in "Belonging." I think it is a mistake atleast. When Cordy is reading from the book that Fred last read from, Landok comes from a portal. Now, wasn't it Prof. Sydale(sp) that brought Fred to Pylea? She just happened to read from the same book that caused her to go there? EDIT: Well I am silly. Seconds after I posted this, I realized that Prof. Sydale made her read from the book that caused her to go to Pylea. Well I think.
Guest Brian Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Sydel planted the book for her to read. At least that's what I remember. Kinda one of those Season 4 eps I skip over.
