Golgo 13 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 If you want to talk about continuity, after Anya lost her necklace thing in "The Wish" why did she stay in high school??? I think it was because she had appeared as a teenager, thus decided to stay in school to finish up, since she'd need a diploma anyways. Yeah. Basically, after Anya lost the necklace, she couldn't continue to live 'outside' the mortal realm. Once she became human, she had to start acting like one, meaning she would have to start abiding by the modern, mortal way of life. And that includes having things like a diploma.
Mole Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 He's not my GOD, silly mole. He's A God. He's not perfect, but then again, who can love perfection? Umm...me.
Hank Kingsley Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Wow. The Joss-written & directed "Waiting in the Wings" (ballet ep) was on TNT today...fantastic episode. Who COULDN'T help but feel bad for Wes?
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Right now for us Canucks, Fred is giving Gunn the cold shoulder.... has there ever been a character that has broken so many hearts???
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 RHETORICAL QUESTION MOLE! STOP ANSWERING MY RHETORICAL QUESTIONS! BAD GIMMICK! BAD GIMMICK!
Mole Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I asked my dad if we could open a gift early, and I got season 5. That makes my X-mas.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I'm still workin on the "1Dave" comment. I'm actually looking forward to christmas based on "Buffy Season 5" and "Firefly" boxsets on my wishlist... how fucked is that? RRR: Descending into Whedon Nerdom. RRR: In denial and doesn't think being able to come up with a dozen episode titles is nerdy... though at one time did...
Mole Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 I'm still workin on the "1Dave" comment. Think, rhetoricaly.
Cavi Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 I got a Fray hardbound signed by Joss for Christmas today. Awesomeness!
Guest Vitamin EC Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Very cool. You might not know, seeing as it was a present and all but you know how much that cost? That couldn't have been cheap.
Cavi Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Yeah, I'm not sure how much it goes for. The insert in the book says it's a run of 500 copies.
Hank Kingsley Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Awesome sig, Cavi. Anyway, Buffy Season 5 just completely rules everything. Spike's growing love for Buffy just makes the season so far. I just watched "Listening to Fear", so "Into the Woods" is next. I'm trying to space my watching out so I don't watch the whole thing in two days.

I just watched "Listening to Fear", so "Into the Woods" is next. I'm trying to space my watching out so I don't watch the whole thing in two days. I never can do that, and end up watching everything in 3 days or so. I usually watch the whole season through, then go back for the commentaries. However, I watched "Fool for Love" the other day, so I listened to Douglas Petrie's commentary and it was pretty good. Even though I didn't get Firefly, Buffy made my X-Mas.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 I didn't get Firefly OR Buffy for xmas... *pouts* Now I know what it's like to not get the lil red firetruck... it almost ruined my xmas until I realized I can exchange a bunch of crappy shirts and take the money and buy the box sets... RRR: Knows the true meaning of Christmas... Joss Whedon - our saviour. It should be called Jossmas.
Mole Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Well thats no fun... It is Jossmas from now on.
RavishingRickRudo Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 What really sucks is that like EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS BOARD got Buffy Season 5... LIFE IS CRUEL! WHY WAS I EVER BORAN!?!
fazzle Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 What really sucks is that like EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS BOARD got Buffy Season 5... LIFE IS CRUEL! WHY WAS I EVER BORAN!?! I didn't. But then again that might be because I didn't ask for it. I asked for one of the earlier seasons. And I didn't get them either.
Cavi Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Awesome sig, Cavi. Thanks. I'm liking your new Angel one. I was watching "Triangle" the other evening. Spike talking about the onion blossom rules.
LaParkaYourCar Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Awesome sig, Cavi. Thanks. I'm liking your new Angel one. I was watching "Triangle" the other evening. Spike talking about the onion blossom rules. I love Superstar's sig, but it's been bugging me....what does it faintly say across the middle of the pic???
Guest Vitamin EC Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 It says 'Arthelius'... damn watermark.
Anakin Flair Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Question for those who know- I just bought the new Buffy soundtrack, which has 12 tracks. Now, on Buffy.nu, they link to a site to download the soundtrack (which doesn't work) and it has 21 tracks. Does anybody know if the European version has extra tracks or what?
Mole Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 And the thing with Cavi's sig is that only Buffy fans will get it. I noticed something while watching season 5. In "Listening to Fear" Joyce tells Buffy to do whatever she can to protect Dawn, no matter what. Since Joyce dies, that is one of the reasons that Buffy wouldn't kill her, to keep the last promise she ever made to her Mother.

Yep, the UK version has more tracks.
Anakin Flair Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 well, that bites. Now I got to find a UK version of the cd.
Mole Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 And with CD's, you don't have to worry about region crap.
Hank Kingsley Posted December 29, 2003 Report Posted December 29, 2003 Finished watching Buffy season 5...BEST SEASON EVER! Holy shit...everything from "Fool for Love" to "Intervention" to "The Body" and finally to the best, "The Gift", was amazing. Now THAT is what good television is all about.
