RavishingRickRudo Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 If you don't like the lead character, then no. Cause he's sorta around alot.
chaosrage Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Eh, a lot of people didn't like Buffy that much by the end of the show, and still liked it. I was one of them.
RavishingRickRudo Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 You... You are not someone I get. I can't watch a show if the lead character is someone I hate. ...Well, cept for wrestling.
chaosrage Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Well I didn't hate her, I just didn't like her too much by season 6. I still watched for spike, xander, willow, andrew, dawn, etc..
RavishingRickRudo Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Ok, I get that. I didn't much like Season 6 Buffy myself... which I guess was the point... it was a stupid point, however. Which is why Season 6 sucked.
Guest JMA Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I'm partial to the high school seasons (1-3) of Buffy myself. But I'm sentimental about things like that.
Anakin Flair Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I'm always more partial to the later seasons.
RavishingRickRudo Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I'm partial to season 2, 3, and 5.
LaParkaMarka Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I'm partial to season 2, 3, and 5. I think everyone is partial to 2/3/5. *hugs DVDs of Buffy 5* ANyways, quick Angel question. I just saw the episode where Skip convinces Cordy to become part-demon. I'm a little confused about why this all happened. So Cordy couldn't have Jasmine unless she was part-demon? Or was she really in danger of having her head blown off from the visions? How come the PTB didn't do anything to stop Skip/Jasmine from subverting the connection to their champion?
chaosrage Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I liked S6, not as much as 2, 3, and 5 of course, but it still had some good eps. Willow had some awesome development. And the entire season was great plot-wise.
Guest Brian Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 I've always assumed that they made her demon so she could handle the visions, much like Doyle. Remember, at the start of Season Three she was going through hell with those visions and it was really taking a toll on her. But they did the alternate reality in that episode, and how come Angel wasn't able to handle things? He had the part Demon, and you'd think he would have ben a little stronger, plus being a champion and all that. And how did he get them in the first place in that ep (moving into DEAN territory there)? I think the real question coming out of that line is did the Powers ever intend for Cordy to have the visions at all? Was Cordy really that essential, or did they just need a direct feed to Angel? I'm more inlcined to say that Skip was stringing her along for the ride, and that the Powers weren't ready to inject and compromise that relationship they had with Angel. Or that by the time they realised what was up, when Cordy was on the "higher plane", that it was too late. My theory is Jasmine infected her at that point, and needed time to develop, and was sending her false feeds on the visions (as in not from the PTB). That's if you follow my "Jasmine was part of the Senior Partners rather than a PTB" theory.
RavishingRickRudo Posted April 30, 2004 Report Posted April 30, 2004 Skip was Jasmines lacky, therefore, everything Skip did was because Jasmine wanted it. That would probably include (some of) the visions. Could it be possible that when the 2 freaky conduits of the PTB died, that the powers died as well and Jasmine was the one controlling the visions?
Mole Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 I liked S6, not as much as 2, 3, and 5 of course, but it still had some good eps. Willow had some awesome development. And the entire season was great plot-wise. People don't like season 6 because it was different, darker and it came after the AMAZING season 5. But I like it when a show goes dark, so I really like season 6.
Anakin Flair Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Buffy is now on the top 5 on http://www.jumptheshark.com/ Some funny comments in there, even if you don't agree (I don't)

I think that was because he was still all "tortured soul" guy, and he hadn't found a way to redeem himself when the visions hit him. Then the grief coupled with the pain drove him insane.
Guest Brian Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Why did Angel not have the visions passed to him in "Waiting in the Wings"?
Max Danger Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Why would he have? Because he kissed Cordy? Hell, she kissed Angel, Wesley, and that empath demon the episode after Doyle died trying to pass them on, but it didn't work. So, I don't know why they would have in that episode.
BlackFlagg Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 She kissed Wes before she got the visions. She kisses him in when he shows up in Parting Ways also...along with just about every other guy she sees hoping she'll pass the visions off.
Max Danger Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 Yeah, that's what I said a couple of posts back.
Mole Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 She kissed Wes before she got the visions. She kisses him in when he shows up in Parting Ways also...along with just about every other guy she sees hoping she'll pass the visions off. Right right, my bad.
Molotov The Bear Posted May 2, 2004 Report Posted May 2, 2004 Some pictures from the Finale have been released if anyone wants to see them. http://www.mediasharx.com/index.php/news/1845
Hank Kingsley Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 ... the summary for the finale is posted, if you're really interested. Let me just say 'wow'.
Mole Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 Nooo way I am reading it, I'm already spoiled on what is going to happen.
Guest wrestlingbs Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 Why would Buffy be on the top 5 at Jump the Shark? It's been off the aire for a year.
BlackFlagg Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 Why would Buffy be on the top 5 at Jump the Shark? It's been off the aire for a year. What does that matter? MASH is #5 on the list and that's been off the air for quite a bit longer than a year, heh
Mole Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Wow, this thread almost fell off the first page. But not on my watch. I've been watching season 5 on FX and it is amazing how good this season is. That is why I don't see Angel season 5 being as good as it....
LaParkaYourCar Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 For some reason that "full summary" of the last episode seems short. Do you think they are leaving off something so we're not totally spoiled?
