Enigma 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 Although Meltzer said the number was down due to some markets being out because of Hurricane Isabel, WWE won't realize this. But the match really wasn't any good so even if it did pop a rating, it wouldn't be done again on free TV anyways.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 I thought that when the power goes out in large amounts that they compensate for it in the ratings?
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 No hype but on one match between a heel with dwindling heat (Brock) and a face made to look like he can only beat the odds SOMETIMES (Kurt)? A good chunk of the market gone? Ratings down? Never woulda thunk it...

A good chunk of the market gone? Ratings down? Never woulda thunk it... or maybe its because the average fan doesnt give a shit about full hour matches regardless of how great they are? Hate to present that side... but today at work I spoke to several casual fans... or marks I guess, that said they didnt watch because they think an hour long wrestling match between anyone would bore the shit out of them
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 The ratings could have been affected by marks who would realize that it's pointless to watch an hour long wrestling match. All the importants pins would come in the last 20-30 minutes, so they propably tuned out of the first half. People do that when watching real sports all the time. I still think that going with an hour long ironman match wasn't the brightest of ideas.
Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2003 A 30 minute iron man match couldve stopped all the shenanigans and delievered a great match as well
