Ok for the last time Shane-O-Mac defenders...

Recommended Posts

So by that logic, Linda McMahon has an ego problem when she shows up on the shows once every 2 months?

This conspiracy shit is getting stupid.

Getting beat by Kane.

What a giant slayer.

He certainly manhandled him on Raw.

Shane was also the first-and second guy to "stop" the "unstoppable" Kane who killed guys like RVD and Steve Austin.

Edt: Stupid rhyming names :)

Linda shows up, makes an announcement and goes away. Shane shows up, stays for x number of months nd beats the crap out of Kane and Chris Jericho.

Difference.

Linda was part of a 2 month long angle that culminated at WrestleMania X7. Is this an egofuck? Because your definition of "egofuck" is quite confusing and unclear.

Not sure if this was mentioned in the PPV thread, but can somebody explain to me why when Shane took all that time to climb up the scaffolding, why wasn't the referee counting Kane out? He was "out cold" and flat on his back for an eternity.

The same reason the ref didn't count Jericho out when Christian was on top of Jericho for about 15 seconds!

I didn't say Linda was great. She's better than Shane.

I'll ask the eternal Shane question: Who, besides Shane, has a program with Shane helped?

All the fans who enjoyed it.

As for the match, I can't really comment because I only saw the last 20 seconds. But I do think people are going a little overboard saing that Shane killed Kane by losing to him.

If it's true that Kane had to survive Shane, with Shane beating himself, Kane's absolutely finished.

At least it didn't take down an actual worker in the process.

This is not the first time Shane has hurt the credibilty of a wrestler, I will give you two other examples

1. Chris Benoit- When The Rock was feuding with Benoit, the storyline wasn't whether or not Chris Benoit could beat the Rock but instead all the focus was placed on Shane. All you heard was "With Shane on Benoit side The Rock doesn't stand a chance." How is The Rock going to overcome Shane's involvement? etc. etc. From the start it was made clear that Benoit had no shot without Shane in his corner.

2. Booker T- After jobbing to The Rock, The WWE books a handicap match Booker T/Shane vs The Rock which made Booker T look like a complete jobber. Finally to make matters worse who gets pinned in the match? Shane? No, Booker T does.

Shane outwrestling Angle at KoTR and repetedly beating Big Show didn't help ether man.

Now come on guys, in Shane's heart he really does want to put over these guys as superstars. If he were running the company things would be so much different because he's different. He's not like Steph and Vince who put themselves in matches on PPV, or hog up TV time, or gratify themselves on television, or put themselves over talent... shane would never do those types of things. And even if he did, it's because he is being forced to. Why are you always so negative? He's entertaining and the fans were chanting his name, they want him there. At least he's not in the main event like Vince. Oh, you guys make these topics every other week, when will you stop hating? Why do you watch anyways? Nothing will please you. Shane will go away for another 3 years and never make a sound cause he doesn't want to be on tv, this is over now, ok? He is gone for good, unlike those two other evil mcmahons who are forcing him to be on tv...

Did I cover everything?

I think you covered it completely Rudo.

Yes Kane is such a badass. He spent the majority of the match with Shane whipping his ass. And then at the end is layed the fuck out while Shane goes up high and then just moves and barely makes it to his feet on the 9 count while Shane lays there a victim of himself and not Kane.

So how exactly did Kane beat Shane again?

Shane beat up Kane worse than RVD did. He even ripped off one of RVD's moves.

RVD almost won the IC title. Does this mean that Shane can win the IC title at will?

Yes...yes he can.

I mean come on the IC champ Christian need fuckin' JOHNATHAN COACHMAN to beat JERRY LAWLER. He only needed a belt to beat RVD.

Shane should show up with no visible wounds and beat Christian in under two minutes tommorrow night.

My question is will RVD ever get a chance to get his win back from Kane?Or win a match in a ppv?

How have they fucked Kane up so bad?

Here they took a guy who had almost been damaged beyond repair due to numerous face/heel turns and necro angles, they turn him into a monster that people tune in to every week, and they have Shane McMahon slay him time and time again.

Shane should have been chokeslammed off the top of there and put through the Spanish Announce Table.

Okay, while I agree that it is the wrestlers themsleves who should always be put over - I have to give Shane credit where credit is due.

As a non-wrestler, he's put his well being on the line on multiple ocassions and has spent the past 15 years+ working behind the scenes as a referee, stage hand, etc. It's not like he was born one day and on TV the next. He worked his way up the ladder just like all the wrestlers have done. While I agree on many of your points that he has been misused (or overused), I think he has a very strong stage presence and that should be taken advantage of.

There's a thread over on Kayfabe Memories, under the WWF 83-89 section, regarding Shane & Stephanie and Playboy Buddy Rose - who is a regular on the board - can't say enough good things about Shane, stating he was always very respectful to the wrestlers and was constantly asking their advice and trying to improve himself and his understanding of the biz.

Yeah, I wondered about that too.

But anyway, about the Kane-Shane match... would people in here be nearly as pissed off about that finish if after Shane's fall, Kane went over and chokeslammed him on the stage to get the win THAT way? I'm just curious where the line is drawn here.

Shane McMahon is the WWE's New Jack. He gets over by jumping off of high shit, but no one that matters gives a damn about him. This is why. Kane gets booked to be a monster, and although a lot of the segments getting him to that point were bad, he still was involved in a pretty good gimmick overhaul.

So, Kane demolishes RVD, but Shane McMahon demolishes Kane.

Makes sense.

Ok for the last time Shane-O-Mac defenders..., Defend that!!!

There's no defense whatsoever for non-wrestlings being involved in an actual wrestling match. I can understand outside interference as managers and whatnot. But not in an actual match. I fail to see the logic in the McMahon Clan thinking that they're draws..

How does any of this change the fact that Shane, for his own selfish reasons, just ruined Kane?
