Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted September 22, 2003 Well, I had a nice ROH diary going this summer, but that was ruined by the competition signing away all my talent and leaving me empty handed talent-wise. I tried a "Fun" Backyard diary, but didn't get very far with it as it just wasn't my style. With the extreme drop in Fantasy booking stuff since the end of summer (including the apparent end of some fun diaries like Zack's Cucaracha's and others) I figured I'd post my MLW game results for fun. Again, this is mostly for me to easily keep track of stuff, but if anyone else wants to comment/enjoy it feel free to leave comments. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * To start off, I had to release the bigger name guys who were making an amount of money that exceeded my budget. Hence I had to bid farewell to Abdullah the Butcher, Steve Williams, Sandman, Mike Awesome, Sabu etc. Terry Funk was taken care of when WWE signed him away. The only guy who exceeded my limit that was allowed to stay was Raven, because he *barely* went over the cap and he brings a lot more to the table than Abby or Sandman. * Also seeing the door were dead weight like Criado, Smiley & Ho and Friedman, because Rich was in a blackhole of overness, I had no plans at all to use Norman and GJ Ho, and PJ without Williams was just a big talentless hack. * A few new talents were also brought in, and most of them will be showing up over the next few weeks. Only other thing of note was an injury to Steve Mack that will sideline half the Hit Squad for a while. Oh, and Bill Alfonzo found god. Joy. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MLW Underground for October 6th, 2003 The show opens with a bang as The Extreme Horsemen head to the ring. The Global Tag Team Champions Simon Diamond & CW Anderson and the MLW World Champion Steve Corino are accompanied to the ring by Corino lackey's Guillotine LeGrande and Veronica "Simply Luscious" Stevens, who spend the interview "gaurding" the apron while the Horsemen talk. The Tag Champs declare themselves to be "A Tank and a Corvette" and the greatest tag team in the world, while Corino declares that he has defeated everyone in the wrestling world and he would issue an open challenge for ANY wrestler to show up at "Fight Night" and take his title. The crowd booed as the Horsemen bowed and left the ring. 81% Ikuto Hidaka Vs. Eddie Colon First Rd. Match- MLW Jr. Heavyweight Title. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We're going with a vacant Jr. Heavyweight title, so a tournament will be held over the next few weeks to crown a champion. Eddie was quite over with the crowd, and a great match helped them warm up to Hidaka as well. The pair put on a really good technical/high-flying match, but the 2nd Generation Puerto Rican took the fall, submitting to Ikuto's Hidaka Lock. The crowd applauded both men after the match, and the competitors shook hands as Hidaka moved on to the semi-finals. Crowd- 41% Match- 77% Overall- 59% Rating- **1/4 Backstage, we were met by the ear-piercing shriek of Bill Alphonzo's whistle. When the camera found Fonzie he was standing in front of a locker room door. Hey said he now had no one to manage (baby) and that he had gone on a world-wide search for new talent (daddy-o). His search led him to two of the greatest foreign talents MLW had ever known, and he would coach his new charges to the MLW Global Tag Team Titles (DADDY!) As The Fonz finished his rant by whistling incessantly, the locker-room door opened and two figures stepped into the camera view. Satoshi Kojima and Taiyo Kea. 83% Kea & Kojima Vs. Mexico's Most Wanted ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Fonzie's "tag team of the future" made their debut against Halloween and Damien 666, Mexico's Most Wanted. The face-painted luchadores tried desperately to pick up the win, but Kojima over-powered both men, tossing them from the ring and getting the crowd into it. As Fonzie blew his whistle, Kojima tagged out to Kea and the big Hawaiian put Damien away with a spike Hawaiian Crush. The fans applauded the new team after the match, cheering them on in their quest to dethrone the hated horsemen. Crowd- 51% Match- 86% Overall- 68% Rating- **3/4 Backstage, new MLW addition April Hunter was getting a drink from the catering table when she was approached by Michael Shane. Shane told April that he was "the man" around here and he was offering her a chance to get with the "new" Heartbreaker before he was "soiled" by all the rats that were hanging around his locker room. Hunter blew him off with a laugh, but Shane grabbed her by the wrist and planted a kiss on her. A passing Kid Romeo came to the rescue, laying out Shane and leaving with April. Feel the TENSION! 54% Jerry Lynn Vs. CM Punk Vs. Paul London ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, Paul London was released from the WWE and made his debut on this show. Unfortunately he didn't even factor into the finish as Punk and Lynn did battle throughout most of the match, brawling at ringside and tearing into each other. Punk eventually laid London out with the Pepsi Plunge, but when he went to take out Lynn, Jerry's partner Christopher Daniels hit the ring and clipped him, allowing Lynn to roll up Punk and get the 3 count. Team EVIL laid into Punk after the match, but as they left Punk said he'd bring a partner to "Fight Night" to take care of Lynn and Daniels. Angle advancement yes, but good match as well. Crowd- 60% Match- 86% Overall- 73% Rating- *** Overall Rating- 70% Television Rating- 1.15 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pretty good show, with some debuts and some foundation laid for some of my long term angles. Since I screwed up setting my event, October's big show "Fight Night" will be the next big show with Steve Corino's open challenge, Punk's mystery partner, the continuation of the Jr. Heavyweight tourney and more. TUNE IN!
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2003 Good show, interested to see how a serious diary fares in the land of comedic XPW journals, heh. Speaking of my XPW diary, admittedly I let it fall by the wayside, but I'm hopefully going to get started on a self-created promotion, done in the XPW style. Check to see if I get off my lazy ass and post it anytime soon.

Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted September 27, 2003 (edited) Thanks for the replies. Zack, your name on this suddenly made 10 more people view it. Looking forward to your new diary, and hopefuly people will put up with my crazy serious diary. Otherwise I'll have to make Steve Corino a ballerina and CM Punk a chicken farmer with tourettes and I dunno how well that would work. This would have ben posted earlier, but my internet has been having issues. Anyway, we're live in St. Petersburg, FL for the hastily booked first big card of the new MLW regime. It's... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MLW Fight Night- October 11th, 2003 Sonjay Dutt Vs. NOSAWA First Rd. Match- MLW Jr. Heavywight Title -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nice Junior Heavyweight match, but Sonjay isn't as over as one would hope. NOSAWA had the early advantage, beating Dutt across the ring and getting several close nearfalls. When he went up top however, he was caught by Sonjay who superplexed him off the turnbuckles for a 2 count of his own. NOSAWA eventually fought through a pair of nearfalls and took advantage again, but he was rolled up for the upset victory for Dutt and advancement for Sonjay into round two. Crowd- 41% Match- 85% Overall- 63% Rating- **1/4 Mikey Whipwreck Vs. Juventud Guererra ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The crowd was all over Mikey during this match as he came out with Team EVIL's Preacher of Pain, James Mitchell and taunted the audience. Juvi got a mixed reaction, but put on a nice show, flying around the ring and getting the crowd into the match. Mikey tried a Whippersnapper, but Juvi flipped out of the move, hitting a cannonball plancha and nailing Mikey with the Juvi driver to pick up the win. These two didn't mesh real well, but it was an OK match for being a thrown together last minute affair. Crowd- 50% Match- 76% Overall- 63% Rating- *3/4 Mexico's Most Wanted Vs. Kid Romeo & Joey Ryan Vs. The Samoan Island Tribe Vs. London & Kendrick ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was basically a 4 corner's tag team match to get these guys on the card. The Island Tribe was represented by Samu and Ekmo, while Romeo & Ryan made their debut as a team, accompanied by April Hunter. Brian "Spanky" Kendrick, recently released by the WWE, also debuted here as Paul London's partner. MMW went out first, with Halloween taking Sliced Bread #2 from Kendrick. Romeo and Ryan took to the sky, wowing the crowd, but Romeo got caught by Ekmo and powerslammed. Samu followed up with a big splash, and Romeo and Ryan were gone. The crowd finished the match happy however, as London hit a beautiful Shooting Star Press to take care of Ekmo and get the win. Crowd- 50% Match- 77% Overall- 63% Rating- *3/4 Super Dragon Vs. Michael Shane --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More Junior Heavyweight action here, with Super Dragon getting the crowd on its feet. Michael Shane came out with Francine, however, and the crowd soon soured. Another stylisitic mis-match here, something that can be prevented with more time to build to a show. Dragon hit a ton of dives, but Shane was able to hit the Superkick, and with Francine holding Dragon down, hit the Picture Perfect Elbow for the victory. Shane and Francine made out after the match instead of leaving, drawing the fan's ire. Crowd- 42% Match- 72% Overall- 57% Rating- * Joe Seanoa Vs. D-Lo Brown ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Things really picked up here, with a brutal match between D-Lo and "Samoa" Joe. Joe brutalized D-Lo for most of the match, hitting him with stiff suplexes and boot scrapes that had D-Lo reeling and up against the ropes. Brown fought back with some shots of his own, but missed a Lo-Down and took an Exploder Suplex for 2. D-Lo was able to come back with the Sky-High, but Joe kicked out and hit the Pacific Island Driver, locking on a Triangle Choke for the submission. As D-Lo recovered after the match, however, Raven hit the ring and laid him out with a DDT. The crowd booed as Raven stood over his opponent, posing before sulking off. Crowd- 66% Match- 85% Overall- 75% Rating- *** After intermission, CM Punk hit the ring. Punk said he was better than Christopher Daniels and would prove it tonight. Since Daniels surrounded himself with so many "lackeys" and "blind followers" he needed back-up however, and introduced us to the newest member of the Straight Edge Army, Chris Hero. As Hero and Punk shook hands in the ring, Christopher Daniels hit the ring. Daniels said that he was dissapointed, as he expected Punk to choose a REAL partner, not a no-name loser like Hero. The crowd booed, and said that the "Army" wasn't worthy of his time, but he would send some of his so-called "lackeys" to take care of them. Hero and Punk Vs. The Altar Boys ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The crowd was less than thrilled with Daniels' decision to pull out of the match, and treated Luke and Matthew with general apathy. To say Punk was ticked off would be an understatement, though, as he brutalized both Altar Boys before tagging out to Chris Hero. Hero was impressive in his MLW debut, crushing Matthew with a Hero's Welcome before tagging Punk back in. Punk hurled Matthew into the corner, forcing him to tag, before crushing Luke with the Pepsi Plunge for the victory. Crowd- 39% Match- 80% Overall- 59% Rating- *3/4 Eddie Colon Vs. Raven ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More of the mismatched styles here, but the crowd was pissed at Raven for attacking D-Lo earlier and let him know it. Colon fought a nice match and got the crowd involved, but Raven cut him off, hitting a drop-toe-hold onto the bottom rope and finishing him off with a Raven Effect DDT. The crowd booed as Raven went to leave, so he re-entered the ring, hitting 2 more DDT's on Colon and leaving him bloody in the ring. Crowd- 66% Match- 66% Overall- 65% Rating- * MLW Global Tag Team Titles Kea & Kojima Vs. Team EVIL Vs. Extreme Horsemen © -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The fans were excited to see Kea and Kojima get their title shot, but soon grew upset when Chris Daniels hit the ring again and announced that he and Jerry Lynn were entering themselves into the match (as Punk proved too little of a challenge). A Good triangle match followed, with the champs staying outside for most of the match and letting the two teams of challengers beat on each other. Daniels got a near-fall on Diamond late in the match, but Kea saved, wanting to get the victory for his own team instead. Kojima eventually hit a Koji Kutter on Lynn, but Veronica Stevens pulled him from the ring, and CW Anderson slid into the ring, pinning Lynn and stealing the victory. Kea and Kojima argued with Team EVIL as the Champs celebrated. Crowd- 60% Match- 84% Overall- 72% Rating- **3/4 After the match, the champs were joined in the ring by MLW World Champion Steve Corino Corino said that as of yesterday, no one had accepted his challenge, and he was declaring himself the greatest world champion of all time. As Diamond, Anderson and Stevens clapped and threw streamers they were interruped by the cheering crowd as AJ Styles ran to the ring. Styles said Corino had never beat him, and we'd find out right NOW what kind of champ he was. MLW World Heavyweight Title AJ Styles Vs. Steve Corino © -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Styles controlled the early part of the match rather easily as Corino was in obvious shock, not prepared for the challenge AJ gave him. Styles hit a rana to send the champ to the outside and Corino bailed, grabbing his belt and heading to the back. Styles caught him and yanked him back into the ring however, nailing him with a kick and hitting a Styles Special for 2. As the crowd erupted, AJ went to the top for a Spiral Tap. Veronica Stevens hit the ropes, crotching AJ, and Corino hit a superplex for 2. With the crowd cheering him on, Styles got Corino in position for a Styles Clash, but the Horsemen hit the ring, laying AJ out and drawing the DQ. As AJ was announced as the winner, Corino grabbed his belt and ran, leaving AJ victorious but without gold. Crowd- 81% Match- 81% Overall- 80% Rating- *** Overall Rating- 68% Attendance- 2628 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Soo... Not a great show, but that was to be expected with the rushed card. Next month's show is at the end of the month, so we have almost 2 months to build, hopefully causing the card to suck less. Either way, some angles were furthered here, and thats what reall matters. Up next is another episode of Underground TV with more angle development and Super Dragon Vs. Jimmy Yang in another first round tournament match. Tune in...SOON! Edited September 27, 2003 by ToddRoyal

Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted September 29, 2003 I think I'll hold off on ordering the Hillybilly Jim trunks for Punk, but its always a last resort option I suppose. We're going fairly well right now, however, and coming off the first big show of this era we have another big episode of... MLW Underground for October 13th, 2003 Jimmy Yang Vs. Super Dragon 1st Rd. Match- MLW Jr. Heavyweight Title ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We start off this week with ACTION as Yang and Dragon square off for the right to advance to round 2. The crowd was quiet for the competitor's entrances, but the two young high-flyers put on an amaxing show. Delivering one of the best matches in MLW history, Dragon and Yang spent very little time on the mat. Taking to the air and hitting dives in and out of the ring, both men sacrificed their bodies in this contest. Yang appeared to have the match in hand, but he missed Yang Time and Dragon was able to hit the Psycho Driver and advance to round two. GREAT match and both of these two will be having bigger roles in the future. Crowd- 34% Match- 96% Overall-65% Rating- ***1/4 After the initial commercial break we came back to find Team EVIL's Minister of Malice, Rev. James Mitchell in a darkly lit room. He said that Chris Daniel's prophecy has been attracting followers all over the country and that non-believers such as CM Punk would be destined to a life of pain. Motioning to two cloaked figures behind him, Mitchell said that the Lost Boys were two of the most dedicated followers and tonight they would "forge their loyalty" in the ring. Mitchell is pretty good as the secondary mouth piece for EVIL. 72% The Altar Boys Vs. Kid Romeo & Joey Ryan --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Romeo and Ryan made their debut as a team last night at "Fight Night" coming up short in a 4 corners tag match. The Altar Boys also debuted at the show, providing fodder for the Straight Edge Army. As both teams are new, the crowd was not as into it as they could have been. Romeo and Ryan controlled the pace early, hitting a double dropkick and a backdrop powerbomb to show their teamwork. As Romeo went to finish Matthew off however, Michael Shane came to ringside to hit on April Hunter. Romeo was distracted yelling at him for long enough for Matthew to roll him up and score the upset. Romeo and Ryan chased Shane off as the Altar Boys "celebrated" by stone-facedly marching to the back. Crowd- 38% Match- 80% Overall- 59% Rating- *3/4 Backstage, Michael Shane had taken refuge in his locker-room, and was joined by Francine. Shane claimed that Kid Romeo was just jealous of him. He said that Romeo had to perform as a "Dancer" in his spare time just to get the attention of women when all Shane had to do was walk out the door and he was MOBBED by women. Reminding Francine how lucky she was, Shane said that April wanted to be with him too and Romeo knew that she was only sticking around because she was contractually obligated. Saying he'd dealt with jealous boyfriends a million times before, Shane promised that April's heart wasn't the only thing he'd break. 59% Danny Maff Vs. Ekmo -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The youngest third of the Samoan Island Tribe was in singles action here as he took on the currently healthy half of Da Hit Squad, Danny Maff. The crowd hates the SIT and with Samu and Mana at ringside, they were letting the islanders have it all night. Surprisingly, Maff and Ekmo had a really good brawling match, fighting inside and out of the ring. Maff hit a Mafia Bomb and looked to have Ekmo finished off, but the Tribe pulled the ref from the ring. As Maff went to chase them off, they triple teamed him, however, and the ref had to DQ Ekmo. As the tribe laid Maff out in the ring, the fans exploded and Homicide hit the ring. Homicide laid the Island Tribe out and helped Maff to his feet, getting a huge reaction from the crowd. Crowd- 64% Match- 87% Overall- 73% Rating- **3/4 Eddie Colon, Paul London and Brian Kendrick Vs. Team EVIL ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Underground was capped this week by a huge six man tag. Eddie Colon teamed with London and Kendrick to take on Team EVIL's Christopher Daniels, Jerry Lynn and Mikey Whipwreck. Mikey and Eddie started the match off slowly, but once Kendrick got tagged into the match things picked up. Kendrick downed Mikey and hooked up with Lynn, headscissoring him out of the ring. Running the opposite ropes, Kendrick tagged in London and both men hit stereo dives onto Lynn. Back in the ring, Daniels took control, hitting the Fall from Grace on London for 2. The faces rallied, but soon cut off, and Daniels hit the Angel's Wings on Colon for 3. Crowd- 60% Match- 85% Overall- 72% Rating- **3/4 After the match, Daniels snapped, ordering Lynn and Whipwreck to attack Kendrick and London. As the crowd jeered, Team EVIL layed both men out, placing them ontop of each other in an "X" shape and mocking CM Punk as the show went off the air. Overall Rating- 67% Television Rating- 1.21 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, not as good a show on paper as last week, but that can be attributed to the lack of all our champions. The ratings did go up however, an encouraging sign of our big show's success in drawing fan interest. I was VERY impresed by Yang and Dragon and expect them to play prominent parts in the Junior divison. The Maff/Ekmo match was also a pleasant surprise. NEXT WEEK: AJ Styles in in action in a Triple Threat Match!!!.....An Appearance by the Global Tag Team Champion Extreme Horsemen!!......And the Jr. Heavyweight Title frst round concludes when Joey Ryan takes on Tony Mamaluke!!! BE THERE!!!

Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted September 30, 2003 Last Week: The Altar Boys picked up an upset victory over Kid Romeo and Joey Ryan...The Samoan Island Tribe took apart Danny Maff until Homicide was able to save...and Team EVIL struck again, leaving Eddie Colon, Brian Kendrick and Paul London all laying. That all leads us to another action packed episode of: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MLW Underground for October 20th, 2003 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The show started off with the arrival of the MLW Global Tag Team Champions The Extreme Horsemen. CW Anderson and Simon Diamond strutted to the ring, accompanied by "Simply Luscious" Veronica Stevens. Apparently Simon has a problem. Diamond said that the Horsemen took down TWO teams at once at fight night, but people keep telling them that Kea and Kojima were better than them. Simon says NO ONE is better than him. CW Anderson grunted his agreement and patted his belt. Stevens claimed that everyone in attendance should be thankful they even get to see the Horsemen as they don't HAVE to be here. Simon says they need more competition. Simon says that next week we'll have a 4 team elimination match for the #1 Contendership! 64% Joey Ryan Vs. Tony Mamaluke First Rd Match- MLW Jr. Heavyweight Title ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The trend of the opening round Juniors matches continues as the crowd was hesitant as the competitors put on a great show. Ryan was outclassed on the mat early, falling prey to Mamaluke's technical superiority. The tide changed though as Ryan escaped his grasp and put Mamaluke down with some lightning quick moves. Ryan headed up top, but Mamaluke caught him with a superplex, holding on for a front chancery hold. Ryan was able to powerout and get the crowd behind him, but Mamaluke took the fall with the Sicillian Slice. Crowd- 43% Match- 84% Overall- 63% Rating- **1/4 Backstage after the match, Joey Ryan left the training room after being checked out. He was met at the catering table by Francine who congratulated him on a great effort and was looking forward to seeing "more of him". Francine said if Michael Shane could have "outisde interests" than so could she, and told Ryan to follow her to her dressing room. Ryan turned the corner, by was laid out by a superkick from Michael Shane. Francine and Shane laughed as they walked off. 53% Danny Maff Vs. Joe Seanoa ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On commentary, Joey Stlyes explained that The Samoan Island Tribe had paid off their country-man to "do them a favor" and "take care of" Maff. This was an absolutely BRUTAL strong-style match with both Joe and Maff kicking the snot out of their opponent in an attempt to win. Maff hit a Mafia Bomb, but Joe used the ropes to break the pin. Seanoa escaped another Mafia Bomb and floored Maff with a Yakuza Kick for 2. The ending came when Maff went for the burning hammer, but Joe spun out, taking Maff down and hooking the Triangle Choke for the submission. The Samoan Island Tribe hit the ring-post match and put a beating on Maff as Joe left, but Homicide hit the ring with a chair to chase the Samoans to the back. Crowd is getting into the fued, and the match was really good. Crowd- 65% Match- 88% Overall- 72% Rating- *** Following a commericial break, Team EVIL was in the back for an interview. With Rev. Mitchell standing in front of the bowing Altar Boys and Jerry Lynn & Mikey Whipwreck in the shadows, Christopher Daniels did the speaking. Daniels said he was surprised that he hadn't seen CM Punk (who is on tour in Japan) recently. He figured Punk was afraid of the dark side and had fled to a shelter of recluse somewhere. He said Punk should join the darkside, but in the mean time, Team EVIL was entering themselves in the #1 contender's tag match next week. 73% AJ Styles Vs. Brian Kendrick Vs. Juventud Guererra ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The crowd was on their feet for the majority of this match as Styles, Kendrick and Juvi put on a great show. Juvi started the match by hitting a dive on both of his opponents and took the control early on by working over Kendrick. Guererra tried a sky-twister press, but Kendrick rolled out of the way, tagging in AJ. Styles took Juvi apart with some stiff strikes and high impact moves, but Guererra leapfrogged out of a powerbomb attempt and tagged out. Kendrick had control breifly, but an attempt at Sliced Bread #2 was foiled when AJ tossed Kendrick outside the ring. Styles followed him out with a Shooting Styles Press, and Juvi dove out with a cannonball planch. Styles moved, and Juvi took out Kendrick, but it gave Styles time to roll Guererra in and hit the Styles Clash for 3. Another good match. Crowd- 75% Match- 88% Overall- 81% Rating- ***1/2 Overall Rating- 69% Television Rating- 1.21 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Better show this week, with the matches starting off strong and only getting better. We have all the semi-finalists in the Jr. Heavyweight Tourney now, and stories continue to build between Homicide/Maff and the SIT as well as Shane/Romeo-Ryan. NEXT WEEK: Jr. Heavyweight SEMI-FINALS when Ikuto Hidaka takes on Sonjay Dutt!!!....We finally hear from RAVEN!!...PLUS a 4 corners tag team title contendership match with Team EVIL and more! Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Last week, we had some great matches, and a challenge laid down by the tag team champions. This week, 4 teams will step into the ring with one goal. A shot at the Global Tag Team Titles at First Blood. That match and more on the next episode of... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MLW Underground for October 27th, 2003 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The show opened with Bill Alfonzo making his way to the ring with Kea & Kojima. Fonzie said that Kea and Kojima were screwed out of the tag titles at Fight Night, but that they were entering themselves in the 4 corner's match tonight. The fans cheered as Fonzie said that he and everyone else knew that the Horsemen were afraid to face his team. He claimed that the Horsemen paid Team EVIL to interject themselves in the match at Fight Night, and that the match tonight was just so 3 teams could take them out. He said you couldn't keep his men down and that Kea and Kojima would destroy the Horsemen as soon as they got their hands on them. 66% Sonjay Dutt Vs. Ikuto Hidaka Semi Finals- MLW Jr. Heavyweight Title ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The crowd continues to react poorly to the good matches put on by the Juniors, but hopefully that will change. Sonjay tried to get the crowd involved early, but Hidaka worked him over with a ground attack. Dutt staged a comeback by reversing an irish whip and knocking Hidaka to the outside, following him out with a somersault press. Hidaka rana'd out of a powerbomb, however, and locked on the Hidaka-Lock for the submission victory. These two didn't mesh as well as I had hoped, but it was a good match none the less. Crowd- 39% Match- 77% Overall- 58% Rating- *1/2 Backstage, Michael Shane and Francine were in their lockerroom, smiling as they watched footage from last week's show. Shane said last week he took out Joey Ryan, and this week he'd take care of Ryan's "boyfriend" Kid Romeo. Shane claimed that April Hunter had been calling him all week, and she'd finally get what she "needed" after he left Romeo "heartbroken". Shane is getting progressively more over, which is good. 69% Kid Romeo vs. Halloween ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Being the last show before Halloween, I figured it would make sense to have te wrestler of the same name booked this week. Halloween was accompanied to the ring by Damien, while Romeo was seconded by April. Halloween had the early advantage, using his partner's interference to keep Romeo under control. After a double clothesline on the outside, the ref tossed Damien however, and the match got more even. After surviving a couple nearfalls, Romeo hit a springboard clothesline and finished Halloween off with a Last Kiss. As Romeo made his way back down the aisle, however, he was jumped by Michael Shane, who hit sweet Shane Music and blew a kiss at April before walking off. Crowd- 47% Match- 80% Overall- 63% Rating- ** In a pre-taped interview, we were in a darkly lit room with Raven. Explaining why he took out D-Lo Brown at Fight Night, Raven said that most people know he has never liked D-Lo. He claimed that wherever he went, D-Lo was waiting for him, and always trying to steal the spotlight. Saying all D-Lo had going for him was his obnoxious yelling an showing, he said that Brown could never beat him in a fight. Warning D-Lo that familarity breeds contempt, and he was as fed up with D-Lo as he could be, he closed by simply saying "Quote the Raven, Nevermore." 85% 4 Corners Tag Team Contendership Match Team EVIL Vs. Kea & Kojima Vs. The Dawg Pound Vs. The SAT ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In addition to the two teams already announced, the match involved the Spanish Announce Team and the Dawg Pound of Homicide and Danny Maff. Jose Maximo started with Jerry Lynn, and the match started fast and furious. Tagging in Daniels, Team EVIL hit a double spine buster, getting a 2 count on Jose. Jose tagged out to Maff on an irish whip however, and the big man plowed over Daniels with a lariat. Daniels quickly tagged out to Kea, and Kea and Maff beat on each other for a few minutes, getting the crowd into it. Joel Maximo was tagged in, but was quickly put away with a Hawaiian Crush, eliminating the SAT. Lynn jumped back in with a headscissors on Kea for 2, but Kea tagged out to Homicide. A Yakuza kick put Lynn down, and Daniels made the save, only to eat one of his own. Kojima tagged himself in, hitting a Koji Kutter on Daniels, but being attacked by Lynn to break it up. As Kojima went to work on Daniels again, however, The Extreme Horsemen appeared on the ramp. Kojima took out team EVIL with another Koji Kutter, but as he stared down the champs, Homicide snuck up behind him with a Cop Killa to win the match. Crowd- 51% Match- 84% Overall- 67% Rating- **1/2 After the match, The Horsemen went back through the curtain laughing hysterically as they left. In the ring, Kea & Kojima stared the Dawg Pound down, but eventually offered handshakes, raising Maff and Homicide's hands in victory and getting a cheer from the crowd. Overall Rating- 67% Television Rating- 1.18 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not a great show this week, mostly due to bad crowd reactions to younger guys like the SAT, Dutt, Hidaka and Romeo. We gotta build though. Nothing offensive, however, and storylines were built so no complaints from me. NEXT WEEK: The OTHER Jr. Heavyweight Semis match, Super Dragon and Tony Mamaluke!!!....D-Lo Brown will be in action, will he respond to Raven?!?!...PLUS, the World Champion, Steve Corino will be in the house!! DON'T MISS IT!
