MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2003 Imagine when they finally get all 15+ seasons of the Simpsons out on DVD. The X Files should probably be the next to get a entire run set done since its close to all 9 seasons being out..
Guest DVD Spree Report post Posted September 30, 2003 I think everyone's jumping to conclusions about the $800 price tag. Sure, £450 translates into a lot more in US currency, but the prices are generally about the same figure - 2 Fast 2 Furious might retail for £18.99 RRP here, but that doesn't mean that the US RRP is determined by applying the exchange rate; a new DVD costs about 20 full "currency units" in bot the UK and US. What will probably happen is that the set (if it comes out in R1) will retail for the same sort of figure in US currency, about $450-$500, meaning that Region 2 buyers will be able to import the US release for £270-£300.
