Guest The Masked Avenger Report post Posted September 28, 2003 I worked saturday's Valhalla Pro Wrestling show in Finland and in the first match, Elix Skipper and Sonny Siaki took on Mike Sanders and Allan Funk. Some time into the match, Siaki appearantly landed wrong on Funk after executing a split-legged moonsault (didn't see it personally). Funk sustained fractures in his orbital bone, cheek and nose, as well as a potential neck injury. Late saturday night he had only vision on one eye. Injuries are a part of this business we all love, but this appears to be pretty serious. Details are still schetchy, but I'm sure I speak for many others when I say that our thoughts and hopes are with Allan.

Guest sebbeh65 Report post Posted September 29, 2003 I saw the show live (sat front row) and he bled like a MF. It was not like Erik Kulas, but very much blood and he looked very groggy. At first, it didn't look like he was injured, but then the blood started to pour out.

Guest The Masked Avenger Report post Posted September 30, 2003 Well, I've had better matches, although I'll place the blame for that on myself, not my opponent, a japanese guy by the name of Makoto. I suppose it was an OK match (it was right after Alan got injured) which saw Makoto hit me with a Michinoku driver and a twisting senton off the top rope for what appeared to be the end. Luckily, reigning Norwegian champion (and my tag-partner) Bjørn Sem, was ring side, and after what I chose to call "technical advice" (others might call it outside interference), I was able to get the pin. The match had some good heat, and eventhough I know I can do better, it was still a great experience. Hell, I got to wrestle on the same card as Corino, Douglas, Styles, Skipper and Kash (and even cooler, to party with them), so if it hadn't been for Funk's injury, it would have been a great night! Thank you for your interest! TMA AKA Big John
