Guest thrall585 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 Also, it is rather nitpicky and unecessary for you to try and correct someone who says Rock/Brock happened once by pointing out a house show match. Get over yourself. Ok Mr. WWE, house shows don't matter! Right.. Rock/Brock happened on TV once, however when something asks in general how many times it has happened, the correct answer is twice. And the Rock actually beat Brock in the house show contest, so it is definitely worth knowing.
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 My point is, generally speaking, when you state how many times a "big match" has happened, you can't go counting every house show. According to most, HHH vs Goldberg only happened once, but you could go and bring up some house shows where they squared off to set up for thier match. No one will be able to see those house show matches you speak of, unless they replay them in thier memory from being there or they somehow get released. So, generally speaking, Rock/Brock only happened once that would be accessible by everyone.
Guest thrall585 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 If you know they faced off in house shows, then you can say so, the marks who don't know that can say they have faced once, but if someone shows them they faced more than once with house show reports then they will know the real amount of times they faced. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 thrall, I can understand if someone posed the question, "How many times did Rock/Brock EVER wrestle eachother in a match? EVER??" But I would venture to guess that if someone says Rock/Brock happened once, they are not pulling back into the files and searching for any possible house show matches. Basically, I don't think you have to correct that because he was only referencing the one time they met and it was televised and it was available to everyone. You're not wrong, it's just that your point is rather unecessary. I'll leave you be.
Guest thrall585 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 The person knows that the match happened once on TV but doesn't know that it happened on a house show before. He should know that. My point is actually necessary.
Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 But he WANTS TO SEE Rock/Brock happen again, and he CAN"T EVER SEE that house show match. Your correction does not help at all.
Guest thrall585 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 Your correction does not help at all. It does. The guy didn't look up the house show results so he doesn't know about Rock/Lesnar happening more than once. But if he is shown the house show report he would know. "But he WANTS TO SEE Rock/Brock happen again, and he CAN"T EVER SEE that house show match. What does that have to do with what I am talking about? If he wants to see Rock/Brock happen again then he will just have to wait and hope.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted October 4, 2003 I think you need 6-8 more months in the developmental forums, you need some polishing, and you could stand to lose a few posts. and if the WWE are gonna push em' he's gonna have to bulk up.....

You only brought up that point because you wanted to say to everyone "Look what I know... I know something you don't", House Show matches don't count, on a TV show if Rock & Brock had a rematch then the commentators would say "they've only faced once before", they wouldn't say "They've faced once on a Pay-Per-View.... and once on a House Show that no-one can ever see again". Just give it a rest, it doesn't matter if they faced once on a House Show... it's not important. Especially if the guy didn't care about the House Show and his only point was that "The fans want to see Brock/Rock again because it's only happened once" and it has only happened once in the eyes of the fans. Oh and tell me... why does he NEED to know that Rock/Brock happened before?
Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted October 5, 2003 This is fun. What's the ACTUAL discussion here because I'm lost. All I can make out is something about how many times Brock and Rock have faced off. As for the ACTUAL question, there is no doubt in my mind that it will be John Cena v The Rock at Wrestlemania XX but if he makes a comeback before that, then I'm stumped. Guest croweater Report post Posted October 5, 2003 That has to be the most pointless piece of arguing that I've ever seen in my life. Anyway, Rock would likely try to elivate someone and Cena looks as if he's a top candidate to be elivated. However, I'd love to see a Rock/Eddie match as I think their styles would go together extremely well and it could really boost Eddie's staying power in the ME. Guest JacK Report post Posted October 5, 2003 Rock with anyone with Mike skill's would be great. Cena, maybe Christian! Yeah, get Christian over . . . or even better STILL, hire MIKE SANDERS! and have him face the Rock! That'd be gold! Well, I'd enjoy it, and, well, frankly; I'm the only one who counts! Anyone young dude, or not-young-but-not-old-either chap who needs getting over would do. Maybe RVD? Though he's a face, but Face-Face feuds can be good. And it'd put RVD back in tha title picture.
