Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 He played Doink and Kim Chee? Didn't know that. He has a pinfall victory over HHH and had a world title shot against Shawn Michaels in MSG?!! Amazing, truly the greatest jobber of them all.

Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Angelfire.com? Brilliant. I was expecting Steve-Lombardi.com, or BrooklynBrawler.com. But no - free webspace is good enough for him! Nik

Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Yea- Brawler once won a battle royal to get a shot at the WWF champion and ended up doing the job to HBK I don't remember that at all, but I suppose the E does occasionally know how to show appreciation to their underappreciated veterans (a la Iron Shiek winning the Gimmick BR at WMX7)
Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Shiek won because he was physically unable to go over the top rope...

Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 It was at a house show- that's why you don't remember it. Possibly, but I used to be a faithful reader of PWI back during Shawn's title reign (presuming this was during Shawn's '96 reign though), and they were pretty good about reporting house shows... I suppose I just missed it. Slaughter was supposed to win the gimmick battle royal What happened?

Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Shiek won because he was physically unable to go over the top rope... What happened? D'oh... that post somehow flew under my radar... probably because the auto-check for new posts took me right to Bob's post Anyways, I had thought that it was a gesture, and not an accident... As for physically being unable to go over the top, I'm not sure how that's possible, since anyone strong enough (maybe not in that BR, but overall) could just lift him up and throw him over... unless you mean that the fall from over-the-ropes to the floor would have just made Shiek break into pieces (which I could believe, given his seeming inability to walk in that event)
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Correct again. He couldn't have taken the bump to the floor. [insert joke about how he can't walk or take bumps, which should set him up perfectly to be Raw champion]
