Papacita 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Chyna defeated the British Bulldog via disqualification when Jeff Jarrett interfered and hit Chyna with a coffee can; after the match, Bulldog called Triple H out and gave him a count of 10 before hitting the powerslam on Chyna - but instead only gave a count of 3 before executing the move I never really got that angle. How was Bulldog supposed to get heel heat by powerslamming a 200-pound woman who regularly wrestles men? I could see if he threatened to piledrive her or put her through a table or something, but a regular powerslam? That whole segment just fell flat with me, and the fact that HHH didn't seem to give a damn about it only made it come off worse. I also think that was the Raw where Rock told Jericho to get his "jerkoff dad" out of the ring.

I also think that was the Raw where Rock told Jericho to get his "jerkoff dad" out of the ring. But, the powerslame WAS Bulldog's move. It would be like if Austin threatened to hit the Stunner on her, or Rock the Rock bottom, or Scotty 2 Hooty the Worm.... Ok, so that last one was a bad example. I guse he was just trying to start whit with Trips.
Papacita 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 Well it's just that she'd been given both the Stunner, the Rock Bottom, Kane's chokeslam...hell, even the Pedigree by that point, all with little to no consequence. Why would threatening to hit Chyna with a powerslam be such a big deal? I liked that they were trying to get him over as a monster heel at that point, but having him powerslam Chyna does nothing to put heat on him...and if I remember right, by the next week, it was pretty much forgotten. The 1981 match at the Meadowlands was advertised as Bruno's retirement match, or at least the end of his his full-time wrestling career. I thought Bruno won his retirement match by DQ over Steele, it seems the KM guys made a big deal about it... maybe I'm thinking of something else...
